I was one of those who had professed that. 😎

TBH we were invested in the characters enough to think about future possible scenes... and also we kinda know the typical things Indian TV CVs follow. Sometimes things just match on screen.

The thing is... slap or no slap, he shouldn't have raised the freaking hand. 😲

We were all baying for blood when the anger could have been justified in that MU scene. But now that he lost it to actually try and hit her, how can that be 'meant nothing'? I am not able buy the guilt. 🤓

Secondly, whether we tend to ignore or not, it is not the first time that Meera has been 'rude' or has driven him up the wall over this mom issue or otherwise. Those abusive tendencies that never came to the fore are suddenly visible? Are they reiterating that when two people come closer sab chalta hai? Or it's just that TRP aunties lau sadism and prefer crying FLs? So let the characterizations go for a toss.

And really? CVs couldn't have taken the 'harsh words' route to generate that 'pathos' (that would have been in character at least)... only a 'slap' could have helped falling TRPs?

No offence intended fraands... and don't un-fraand me like bhaiyya-ben over this essay. 🤣 But that slap was SO not necessary!

Hi :) So I am the resident stalker of this forum so honestly I am so into kaleerein right now that couldn't stop from sharing my two pence about this track :P I have slightly different views from you and am weirdly very excited for this track, slightly sadist you see :P no jokes apart, this time around its different for both of them. Not cause they are close now, cause this time meera goes out and out to tell vivaan that he is the bad guy in this situation. Now correct me if i am wrong, while they have been rude to each other and she has accused him of far worse stuff, like that video, he never reacted abusively. But this time its his only weakness, his mum. She has brought it up before, but going by the OLV's she tells him that he is a bad son and not his mum whom he blames. The situation itself is really messed up. He has talked with his mom and again left feeling rejected because she wouldn't talk to him , heck even pretend like she doesn't recognize who it was. Then comes the entire oh she is dead or alive thing and now the police. There is so much bitterness inside him and having meera oppose the very truth he has built his life around drives him to the point where he raises his hand. That is assuming that is how this unfolds. Abuse cannot be justified irrespective of the fact that you were angry but thats the truth of some far away world not the world we live in. In this world we get angry and make mistakes and if that mistake is against our nature we repent it. Just like Vivaan is doing. Again i may be wrong but I watched Zindagi ki Mehek for a while and Shaurya except for this one time never repented manhandling Mehek, cause that was him as a person. That is not to say he didn't love her, but hurting her physically is his way of love.

Vivaan is no that guy. So his abusive tendencies haven't suddenly come to fore, this is very unlike him and that is probably what they want to show that in anger he made a mistake, which is why he is guilty. If he was regularly in the habit of manhandling meera he wouldn't have repented his actions. Sure, he shouldn't have done but thats why its a mistake.

And honestly, I do not support this idea of it being ok for a girl to hit a man but not vice versa. Meera was equally at fault for slapping him during the marriage fiasco. But then that's the thing I guess, people get angry, lose their train of rational thought and lash out. The only difference is that society has ingrained into us that its ok if a woman hits a man that is why meera was never guilty for having slapped him publicly but vivaan is, cause come what may its not right to hurt a woman, according to the society. To me this leeway we give to both genders in certain situations sends equality for a toss.

Also, the harsh words probably would not have created the same effect for both of them cause that's normal for them. They have both been there, done that, regretted and apologized in their own ways. This is something big. For vivaan its something so unlike him and then there are those subconscious feelings he has for her, which when coupled must be driving him crazy with the amount of guilt he must be feeling.

For meera, this is her protector. In any situation come what may, vivaan has protected her PHYSICALLY. The man chose to get hit with glass tubes but did not let anyone harm her. In any situation be it someone slapping her or her falling, with him around she feels safe physically. This shows, cause in that scene where she fell and she immediately thought back to how he would always save her. To have that same man want to hurt her physically must be shattering. He has hurt her with his words but never marred her physically. This to her must be something so hurtful, which is why she is seen to be lying down all numb.

I still want to wait out for the epi but looking at the OLV's this is how I interpreted their feelings.

Btw I am Chandrama and hope no offense was taken even though we feel differently about this situation 😊
