As soon as Nandini ended singing which was followed by applause and hooting all around the hall but somewhere at the corner of the bar someone's blood was boiling with rage. He pocketed out the cellphone and dished digits in rage.
Nandini and Aryamann were wrapping up there instruments when Aryamann's cell buzzed. He slid the screen to receive the call with a confused look to answered it as it was an Indian unknown number.
Nandini looked at him as his expressions changed from concussion to surprise to shock to joy.
As soon as he ended his call
he tightly hugged nandini screaming out of joy.
'Ahhh!!!!! Nandini!!!!' Screamed Aryamann still engulfing nandini tightly in his arms almost making her deaf.
"What happened"asked nandini coming out of his hold trying to breath.
"Nandini!!!! I, Aryamann khuranna who was just a PA and a drummer to bad born studio will hold his own solo concert in London which will be completely funded by an Asian studio named AD studios" said Aryamann twirling nandini in joy. Nandini was so happy to see his him happy after a long time. At least one of them can taste the real happiness. Even after having a such huge empire in London itself Aryamann earns bread for himself by doing jobs which he don't even dreamt in his wildest dreams. There were days when both aryamann and nandini had to stave because they don't had money to feed them selves. Despite of having lavish bungalows in London itself Aryamann is staying in a merely flat.
Uljhi hui ye doriyaan..
Uljhi hui ye doriyaan suljhaa le
"You know sometimes I wonder if you like your job more or your family." Said nandini out of nowhere.
Aryamann's face hardened. "There isn't a family without a job. I told you that"
Dil ki tu suney agar
Dil saccha hai dilwale
"Sometimes its best to listen to your heart Aryamann. It knows better." Said nandini placing a hand in his shoulder.
Raahein nahin aisi toh kahin
Jahaan kahin koi mod nahin
Kehta hai ye dil
Toote sheeshon ko tu jod nahin
"Yes," he agreed. "Its knows better how to cry. And that's not a part of my world. If you want money and if you want status, you have to let go of it."
"What was I nandini, a 19 years old kid who used to chill out with friends every night. Having morning breakfast with my mom and used to sleep with a hope to see my sister soha soon as soon I reach India... And one day I come to know my sister is dead. My sister soha is no more" said aryamann with utter pain making tears trickle down his eyes
Raahon mein do raahein
Aate hain sau baar
Kadam kadam iqraar hai
Kadam kadam inkaar
"I was behind manik with help of Nyonika and harshad And after that I get to know that my own people betrayed me. I came back to London but not to my so called family. Having sleepless nights on street bench and starving for food made me realise what is value of money in this world. Even your own people refuse to recognize you if you are not even capable of feeding yourself."
"And you, yourself have taken a blow from this world, money still doesn't matters you... After all you have gone through. I gave in with your decision because I respect you and I adore your ways of working" Aryamann continued. "many times over. So, how can you still believe your heart knows better?"
Phir bhi ye zindagi
Pal bhar ko bhi kabhi rukti hi nahi
Lehrein ye waqt ki
Pal bhar ko bhi kabhi rukti hi nahi
"Because it made me trust youAryamann! And you are honestly the best thing that happened to my life after manik!"
"Then why are you still pissed at him?" Aryamann asked. "Isn't your 'heart' telling you anything about him?"
Tanhaaiyan hai ghul si gayi saanson mein
ooo... kya karein...
Nandini was quiet. Being caught in the chaos of emotions, she didn't have a straight answer to the question. While her heart did pressure her into apologizing for her impolite behaviour, she couldn't justify the need.
"See?" Aryamann said triumphantly. "You can't go to him because you know its wrong. You know it's stupidity to trust with it again because it has fears. Following your heart is just an illusion."
"No," nandini replied, shaking her head. "I can't go back to him because my heart won't let me. There is nothing to it."
Maana kahin koi bhi nahin
Jisey mila kabhi gham na ho
Par humko toh wo gham hai jo
Ik pal ko bhi kam naa ho
"So are you telling me that the last 24 hours... they don't mean anything to you? That you really felt nothing for him? Nandini you should give it a go...There wasn't any harm in accepting his offer? I have always admired your professionalism and working with him wouldn't have disturbed you or your heart. You strong enough to control that. You are mixing professional and personal life "
Humne jo baazi kheli, jeet nahi paaye
Ab wo tanhaai hai jo beet nahi paaye
"Hmm!! That will leave you no where." Nandini said deep in thoughts.
Phir bhi ye zindagi
Pal bhar ko bhi kabhi rukti hi nahi
Lehrein ye waqt ki
Pal bhar ko bhi kabhi rukti hi nahi
"There you go... that's an equation that only your mind can come up with. Not your heart." Said Aryamann in relief with a smile on his face.
"By The way! What ever you say Nyonika is one in womenkind... I mean she helped me to harm her own son... That's ridiculous man" said Aryamann.
"Hmm!! After the car blast Cabir was hospitalised thank god manik was safe. Then by police investigation Nyonika was found guilty. Manik's anger knew no bounds. His dad did owned her from his property and divorced her. And now she is left with nothing I guess. I don't thing she will change. I don't harbour a hope." Stated nandini.
Angdaai leti hain phir se umeedein
Palkon pe chaaye jo sapne
"Hope" nandini whispered the word and smiled sarcastically.
"Aryamann, how good this word sound" said nandini sarcastically grabbing his attention " HOPE, no?"
"Hmm, reflects positivity" said Aryamann not knowing where exactly the conversation is heading.
Jaag uthte phir jaise dil mein
Armaan jo soye thhe apne
Jaana hai kis raste
Ye bhi na tu jaane
Kyun hai dil deewaane
"Don't know what to predict positivity out of this bloody word" said nandini settling down at bar.
Nandini closed her eyes, trying to erase the sharp memory of that night, still pinching her after a year. She gulped down the vodka in the shot glass she held, shuddering as she felt the bitter liquid makes its way down her throat, burning everything it touched. And within no time, she felt the familiar warmth of the alcohol in her stomach and she welcomed the giddy relaxation that followed, even though it failed to drive away her pain.

"One more," she told the bar tender, the two words slurring in her mouth. She could feel the darkness in the shadows of her mind, waiting to suck her into an endless pit. Just a few more, and she wouldn't have to think anymore.
Her arms trembled as she picked up the next glass, but before she could drain it like the numerous ones before, a warm hand fell on her shoulder.
"Nandini, come let's have some Italian tonight. A treat from my side after all I am gonna be a future Rockstar." said Aryamann to stop her from drinking any more by diverting her mind with different topic as they proceeded towards some Italian restaurant.

Nandini grumbled incoherently as a loud knock echoed through the quiet room of Aryamann's apartment. She grudgingly got out of bed, surprised to notice the bright sunlight filtering through the windows. She was never the one to sleep past sunrise.
"Uff," she muttered, as her feet dragged themselves to the door. " this Aryamann manages to annoy me even in my sleep now""
" good morning sleepy head," he greeted, when she continued to stand in the doorway, almost gaping at him.
" here is your coffee, and get ready fast you have to cone with me to the studio for meeting the spokesperson of AD studios. I have few terms and conditions to keep"
"What terms and condition" asked nandini scrunching her eyebrows.
"I will be performing with NM only" said Aryamann slumping on her bed.
"Have you lost it! No Aryamann that offer is for you... How can I no its only for you" said nandini as she don't know his to react to it.
"nandini, what i am today!... If people know me, is just because of you! so Cut this out nandini, I am gonna perform with you or I am not gonna perform that's final" said Aryamann in stern tone walking up to her as he say her smiling between tears and whispering thank you to him he took her into a tight hug wiping her tears .

Sometimes, Aryamann failed to understand how his friend could experience all these things at once! But he accepted it with delight, for him nandini was the only colour left in her life.

"Can't you buy enough food and grocery to make this store look like a kitchen" said irritated nandini making omelette in Aryamann's lavish kitchen which had only egges and coffee on the name of food.
Aryamann sat at the dinning table with newspaper wide spread across him paying no heed to her bickering when suddenly an article made made him scream his lungs out hearing which nandini came to him running. Asking him the reason, a dumbstruck Aryamann handed newspaper to nandini.
"How the hell could he just transfer all his shares under your name! Wow.. That's huge! You became Richie rich dammit!" Said aryamaan cheekily.
As nandini's eyes ran over the article aryamaan could see her jaw tightening and newspaper being crumbled by her out of rage.
"Get me his contact number right now!" Almost whispered Nandini controlling her rage and aryamaan not messing with her already rotten mood passed her the contact number.
"Good morning Nandini!" Said Manik in a singing tone cheekily which made Nandini to recheck the digits dished by her.
"It's N M" Nandini almost raged out " i need to see you right now!"
"Wow! That was a desperate attempt though I liked it!" Flirted Manik cheekily.
"Where can I see you?" Nandini asked sternly ignoring his come ups.
"Fine! I will be texting u the location... Meet me in 2 hours!" Said Manik in a civil tone and hung up.
