Two three days passed like this & their friendship grew stronger! In these days Manik & Nandini also interacted with each other sometimes. Like if Manik wanted any help in studies he used to ask Nandini & then call her a 'Genius' He gave her this title & always used to call her that. And Nandini used to get irritated with that name.
Cabir & Navya's story was progressing vry fast as Cabir had confessed her already that he has feelings fr her from the vry first day he saw her. He also cleared that he wanted to spend more time with her to know her more. And Navya was also vry much happy as her feelings were mutual.
While Abhi & Mukti were already ij a secret relationship😉 No one knew about it except Nandu! Well how can she nt know it when 1 was her best frnd & the other her brother.
During this span of time when Manik & Nandini had become friends she also had asked him as to why he used to stare her. Firstly he was shocked with this sudden question bt somehow declined it by saying that it was just a mere infatuation. Nandini was somewhere hurt by his answer bt plastered it with a smile.
In the canteen
Abhi : Toh meri pyaari behna! Kal ka kya plan hai?? Kuch khaas??
Navya : Haa nandu kal kya karnewali ho??
Mukti : Obvio kal to we are gonna party hard! Haina nandu?
Cabir : Ek min yaar! Tum log kya bol rahe ho?? Kal kya hai aisa??
Manik : Haa kya hai kal Ms. Genius??
Nandini glared him when he said that.
Abhi : Arree haa inn do namuno ko toh pata hi nhi. Kal meri baby doll ka birthday hai!
Cabir : Ohh! Birthday! Kya yr Nandu tune mujhe bhi nhi bola! Huh!! Par koi baat nhi nw that I know tomorrow will be vry special.
Manik was just staring at her smiling face & the glow on her face when he came to know that its her birthday tomorrow. He came to know by her look that she is vry excited fr it. And this time no one noticed him staring as all were busy in planning fr tomorrow.
Nandini : Manik? Manik! Maanikkk!!
She shouted fr the third time & he came back to his senses.
Manik : huh??
Nandini : Tum aarahe ho naa??
Manik : Huh? Kaha??
Cabir : Lo! Kaha khoya hai tu?? Kal Nandu ke farmhouse par party hai! Toh tu aaraha hai naa??
Manik : Yaa! Ofcourse!
Nandini smiled & her heart was beating vry fast as this will be her first birthday with Manik! She didnt knew what were these feelings. Why she was happy when Manik was around??
In the classroom
Manik-Cabir , Mukti-Nandini & Abhi-Navya were sitting together. It was their Eco lec. As usual Manik & Cabir were sleeping. Mukti was irritating Nandini while Nandini was trying to concentrate as it was her fav subject. Navya was also sleepin & Abhi was writing notes.
Suddenly the teacher saw that Nandini was laughing & giggling bt didnt see that Mukti was purposely irritating her from below the bench by tickling her.
Mam : Nandini Murthy! Will you plss tell us why are you giggling??
Nandini was scared & stood up. Listening her name also the others who were sleeping got up to see what happened.
Nandini : Mam...umm...I..I'm sorry..
Mam : Sorry? Why the hell are you saying sorry? I should say sorry na for disturbing uh.
Nandini immediately looked down & tears made their way out of her eyes. Nevr in her life any teacher had scolded her. Mukti was guilty now & was going to stand to tell the Mam the truth bt Nandini held her hand & stopped her. This was noticed by Manik & he understood that it wasnt her fault. He was vry much impressed by her that she cud do anything fr her frnds.
Mam : First of all you are nt paying attention in the class & then giggling & disturbing the whole class...if you dont have any interst then plss dont sit in my class! You get that?
Nandini just nodded still crying. Just then the bell rang & she ran out of the class. Mukti was going behind her bt Manik stopped her & said that he will go. Then Mukti narrated the whole thing to Cabir Abhi & Navya. And all were upset with her.
Here Manik was searching for Nandini. He found her near the staircase. She was sobbing vry badly. His heart broke into a million pieces seeing her crying. He went near her & sat beside her.
Manik : Ms. Genius plss stop crying. You know I cant see you in tears. Please!
Nandini : Ma..manik wo..woh Mam...
And she again started crying. Manik side hugged her & said "Nandini!"
Nandini at once stopped crying & lookes at him as he never calls her by her name.
Manik : Woww! Itni jaldi sirf Nandini bolne par tumne rona band kardia...So smart I am!
Nandini chuckled on this & Manik finally felt a relief seeing her smiling.
They went back & Mukti apologized her bt she said it wasnt her fault. Then all of them left early as tomorrow is a special day & a lot of preparartions are to be done.
At night
Manik POV
Aaj kya hogaya tha mujhe?? Why I felt like someone stabbed my heart when she was crying?? And when she smiled I felt that I got evrything back! What is this feeling?? Do I like her?? Omg! Yes! I like her!! I like Nandini.
And it struck 12:00
Manik was the first one to call her as he called her 5 mins early.
Manik : Hey! Ms. Genius
Nandini : Hii Manik
Manik : Soo...what are uh doing??
Nandini :Yeh kaisa sawal hai?? Raat ko log kya karte hai?? Cricket toh nhi khelte na!
Manik : Hahaha! You're soo funny Ms. Genius. Ok so Happy Birthday Ms. Genius! May you have a great yr ahead. God bless you!
Nandini : Thankyou Manik!
Manik : Sirf thankyou??
Nandini : Aur kya chahiye tumhe??
Manik : Something special!
Nandini : Oho! Toh woh something special main kal dungi tumhe. Abhi ke liye good ni8 Manik!
Manik : Are Nan...kaat diya!
Then he also slept smiling keeping his phone aside.
