CHAPTER 10
manik was about to open the door of the car but Nandini suddenly jerked his hand away from her body and ran towards the hospital..."Nandini..kaha ja Rahi ho?? Stop. !!! " shouted manik panicking at the way nandu was running. !! But all his shouts went in the deaf ear as nandu didn't stop and kept running as if her life depended upon it..!! Seeing nandu not stopping manik also ran behind Nandini..!!!
Nandini reached the room where the body was kept when she saw the commissioner and the doctor were having a conversation..!! she went near the commissioner panting heavily and said " Sir..I need to see appa...I mean the body once again!!" At the same time manik also reached there and jerked nandimi closer to himself from her arms startling Nandini and said in a furious tone." What were u thinking Nandini..aise kyun bag rahi thi tum..agar tum gir jati toh..?? Kabhi meri baat bhi toh sunliya karo!!"
To which Nandini slowly kept her hand in his heart and siad softly" manik..mujhe body phirse dekhni hain.!!" Manik was taken aback for a moment as in what happened to Nandini .!! "Lekin Nandini !!" But he was cut off by nandu's pleading words and vulnerable eyes..!!!
Manik turned to look towards the commissioner and indicated through his eyes that they want to se the body and the commissioner nodded his head approving nandini's wish..!! Both manan followed him and as soon as Nandini saw the body ..she ran towards it !!! She quickly removed the sheet from the body and once again tears made their way from her eyes but this time she was determined to prove her point .!! To assure her heart and brain..!!
"Nandini..tum kya kar rahi ho ??" Asked manik catching her hands freely to which Nandini just blinked her eyes assuring him that she is confident over what she is doing..!! Nandini slowly removed the shirt from the body which was immersed in blood with her trembling hands. !!! Then she slowly caressed above his heart as if trying to remember something !! "Mrs.malhotra yeh aap ko kya hogaya hain!! Yeh toh prove ho hi chuka hain ki yeh Mr.murthy hain toh aap kya karne ki koshish kar rahi hain?" Asked a surprised commissioner.!!
" yeh appa nahi hain!" Replied Nandini in a slow voice to which manik's eyes widened and the commissioner looked at her with doubtful eyes !!! "Aap itne sure kaise hain !!?"
" commissioner sir..woh actually jab main choti si thi tab Maine appa ke chest par kisi chiz ka nissan dekha tha...something like a combination of numbers !! Tattoo jaisa kuch tha aur appa humesha usko chupake rakhte they..jab main unse iss bare main kuch bhi puchti thi woh ignore kardete they !!! Replied Nandini lost in her childhood.!!
Manik side hugged Nandini and asked in an unsure voice" Lekin Nandini how come I never noticed it !! Aur tumhe yeh suddenly kaise yaad agaya!?!"
" manik..appa na humesha isko chupake rakhte they..so kisine bhi yeh nahi dekha hoga..Maine bhi yeh mistakenly dekha tha.when he was wearing his shirt..aur main uss waqt bahut choti thi isilye yeh baat mere dimaag se nikal gayi thi !!
And manik since iss body main woh nissan nahi hain ..that means yeh appa nahi hain!!! replied Nandini in a reliefed tone..!!
And she quickly hugged manik and both of them started sobbing n each others arms..!!
Their trance was broken by commissioners words." Agar aap itne sure hain Mrs.malhotra..toh aap thik hi kehrahi Hongi..Lekin we still need prrofs and Mr.murthy abhi bhi laapata hain toh we need to find him also.."
Manan broke the hug and nodded ...they were about yo go out of the room but manik's phone started to ring...and looking at the caller Id manik's eyes widened and the colour of hia face changed which didn't went unnoticed by Nandini..! " kiska phone hain manik ??" Asked Nandini which broke his trance!!
"Huh!!! " asked manik unsure of what nandu said to which annsu gave a doubtful look.! " kiska phone hain ??" Asked nansu once again ..." umm..office se hain ..tum car main betho main abhi aata hun.!!! Saying this manik quickly went in the corner not bothering to reply her..!!
Nandini was surprised by his behaviour but she just chuckled the thought and followed the commissioner out of the room...!!
