Chapter Fourteen

Nandini

"The gathering will be in the evening. You have to wear something white, as per tradition." Manik said.
It has been four days since the Battle and it is already the weekend. Tonight I will be officially announced as the Luna of the Crescent Moon Pack. Fab 5, Abhi, Navya and Me are sitting in the Living room of our house, discussing about tonight.
"This is going to be so much fun! I'm going to pick your dress!" Alya beamed. I smiled at her. Anything to get away from choosing stuff. Hey! Don't judge me!
"And also your hair and make up!" Alya added.
"Hum bhi tumhari help karenge." Navya said.
"I will too! After all, she is going to be my Bhabhi!" Mukti said which made me blush.
"Okay, girls! Calm down!" Cabir said.
"Aaahhh Cabir! Chodo! Chalo shopping pe chalte hai!" Alya said.
"NO! Bilkul bhi nahi!" Manik said.
"Oh come on, Bhai!" Mukti rolled her eyes.
"Meine kaha na! It's not safe." Manik said.
"Manik please?" I asked with my best puppy eyes.
"No!" Manik said in a end-of-discussion tone and left.
"Ugh! Yeh ladka! Mein abhi aayi." I excused myself.
Manik was standing in the balcony of our room. His hands grasping the cold metal railing.
"Manik..."
"Please. I can't risk it when it comes to you. Who knows what kind of physcho you'll meet in the mall." He said.
"Manik, not everyone is like that."
"No matlab no."
"Accha, mein kuch guards le jaaungi saath me. Akeli todhi na jaa rahi hoon!" I said.
"Nandini..."
"Tum chaloge saath me?" I asked knowing that he hated shopping.
"Deal." He said. My mouth hung wide open.
"Don't tell me you did all this just so that I ask you to accompany me! I know you hate shopping, kya chal raha hai?" I asked in disbelief.
"N...nahi. It's just that I don't trust anyone." He said.
"Ugh, fine!" I sighed. He grinned which made me narrow my eyes at him.

I informed the girls that Manik was going to accompany us but Manik threatened the boys to come along as he did not want to 'suffer' alone. The boys whined at it and still are. So now, all of us are going. Well, I could say that boys coming here was actually good, at least we don't have to carry bags! Mwhahahaha.

We shopped for nearly five hours. The boys were all dog tired. Pun intended. We finally settled down in a caf and ordered lots of food. During the whole process, Manik made sure to scare off any male that looked my way, be it a Mortal or a Werewolf. I sighed at his possessiveness.
"Toh kya kareeda Nandini ke liye?" Cabir asked.
"We can't tell you. You have to wait until evening." Alya winked at them.
"Ek saal me bhi itna shopping nahi kiya meine!" Dhruv said which made us giggle.
"Abhi se aadat daal'lo. Jab shaadi hogi tab pareshaani nahi hogi." I said to Dhruv which made him blush.
"Awww Dhruv!" Alya side hugged him.
"Ab hogaya ho toh ghar chale? Ready bhi hona hai." Cabir said.
"Haan, chalo." Mukti said.

We all left to our house. The girls took me into our room while the boys took Manik to another room. I had exactly two hours to get ready. The girls started with my makeup. It was light as they thought my face had a natural glow. My eyelids were filled with a shimmer eyeshadow, that looked very elegant. The mascara caresses my naturally long eyelashes, my lips stained red. They ironed my hair to give it a wavy look and made a low bun of it.
Next was my dress. I just had to slip into it. It was a white floor length dress that had laced sleeves and the bottom flowed smoothly as I walked and wasn't very puffy. The back of the dress looked like a peacock's feather. The neck was deep, but not very much. One could clearly make out the huge Crescent moon mark on my neck, stating that I'm already taken by the big bad Alpha. Just as I got into the dress, Mom came into my room.
"Oh my god! You look breathtakingly beautiful! Meri bacchi ko kisi ki nazar na lage!" She said as she put some kohl on the back of my ears. She gave a beautiful pearl necklace as a family tradition.
"Thank you Mom!" I smiled.
"True! Manik will have a hard time in front of people." Mukti winked at me which made me blush.
"Dekho, isse toh blush lagane ki zaroorath hi nahi padi. Sirf Manik ka naam boldo aur yeh blush karne lagegi!" Alya giggled, which made me blush harder.
"Sachme bohot khoobsurat lag rahi ho!" Navya said.
"Thanks guys!" These girls are the best! Although, I do miss Rose and Amma. I wish they were here. I sighed and got ready to leave.

Manik

The boys took me to another room to apparently 'help' me get ready.
"Seriously guys! Mein koi ladki nahi hoon jo tum log aise mere peeche peeche aa rahe ho mujhe tayyar karne!" I said irritatedly.
"Tu Nandini ka thakkar kar sake isiliye hum teri help karne aa rahe the. Bhalai ka zamana hinahi hai! Dost dost na raha!" Cabir said as he wiped his fake tears.
"Abey Nautanki! Chal baahar nikal aur tayyar hone de mujhe!" I said, kicking them out of the room.
"Pyaar kya mil gaya yeh toh humme hi bhool gaya! Chalo bhai log hum isse door jaate hai!" Cabir said wiping his fake tears, again, making me roll my eyes at him.
I was wearing a White tshirt, that clearly showed my Crescent moon tattoo on my back, through it, accompanying a pearl white blazer with dark blue jeans. I gelled up my hair perfectly. I wore my Rado watch and my black shoes and I was ready to rock this thing!
I walked downstairs to find the boys and my dad sitting. Their heads turned to me as they heard me getting off the last step.
"Tu toh bada handsome lag raha hai!" Abhi said.
"Haan bhai! Maan'na padega! Bohot hi accha lag raha hai!" Cabir added.
"Wow Manik! Tum toh bohot superb lag rahe ho!" Said the minion, Karan, showing me thumbs up.
"Thanks guys!" I said.
"Chalo hum nikalthe hai. Ladkiyaan bhi nikalgayi. Manik, tum Nandini ke saath aajana." My dad said and everyone left.
"Nandini? Are you done?" I asked from the living room.
"Yeah yeah! Coming!" She said, her voice getting closer.
I turned my head to the topmost stair. My heart skipped a beat looking at the sight. My Nandini, in a white dress, looking like an angel fallen from heaven. Her fragrance filled my senses making me dreamy. She walked down, ever so gracefully, looking like my bride in that dress. Millions of compliments were running in my head just at the sight. I must really thank the Moon Goddess for giving me such a wonderful mate, who is so beautiful not only by her outer beauty but also her heart. My wolf was getting excited at each step she took towards me.
"Beautiful..." I muttered to myself but she heard it and turned crimson. Oh, how much I wanted to kiss her right now!
"Chale?" She asked in the most angelic voice.
"Huh...? Kya?" I was so lost in her.
"Chale?" She repeated, louder than the last time.
"Wait!" I said, she looked at me, confused.
"I have a surprise for you..." I continued.
"Really? What?" She got excited. This girl is making me crazy with her antics!
Instead of telling her, I pointed towards the door. Her mouth literally hung wide open, I thought it might break. Her big doe eyes were now filled with tears. At the door stood her Parents, her brother and her best friends. She ran towards them and hugged each of them. My wolf still wasn't happy about her being close to that guy. What was his name? Uh...Aryaman? Yeah, that. But, all that mattered was that she was happy on her special day. So, I calmed my wolf saying that was nothing and she belonged to me.
Her parents hugged me too after their daughter. I also met Rishab. Nandini had told me he was going to take the Alpha position in three years.
"Accha, let's go now. Late ho raha hai." I said. Her parents were going to stay for the evening and leave in the morning.
"Manik..." Nandini called me after they left.
"Hmmm"
"Thank you. Thank you so much! You don't know how happy you have made me today! I really needed them to be with me today and you did just that without me telling you. I can't thank you enough for this!" She smiled with teary eyes.
"Nandini, your happiness matters the most to me. I will do anything to get that beautiful smile that is on your face right now." I said and pulled her into a bear hug.
"Ready?" I asked as I held out my hand for her.
She simply nodded and placed her tiny hand in mine. We walked out to our car.

The ceremony was going to take place in the 'town centre' of our territory. It was huge open ground with a gallery, which made it look like an Amphi theatre. All the wolves of my pack had gathered around. They were patiently waiting to meet their Luna. I looked over at my side to find a very nervous Nandini. I squeezed her hand in assurance and moved forward onto the stage.
"Good evening! You all know why I have called for this gathering. Today, I will be introducing to you the new Luna of the Crescent Moon Pack. I know all of you are eagerly waiting to meet her so without any delay, let us finish this ceremony." I said and invited Nandini onto the stage, next to me. I nodded at her to start.
"I, Nandini Murthy, the mate of Manik Malhotra, the Alpha of the Crescent moon pack, solemnly take an oath that I will perform my duties without any partiality. I will always put my pack before me. I will take care of everyone like a mother and listen to everyone like a friend. I will always protect my pack with my life. I will stand by the side of the Alpha through all the ups and downs and promise not to fail him or anyone else in the pack. I seal my oath with an offering of my blood to the Moon Goddess." She said.
She cut her wrist to fill the golden goblet with her blood. If it were in my hands, I would never let her walk by herself, and cutting her wrist was very far away. But, it had to be done as per our rituals. Once, the goblet was filled, all the wolves gathered, howled in joy, praising their new Luna. They seemed to be very happy about their new Luna. Everyone loved her. I was proud of my mate.
After the grand dinner with my pack, we went back to our house. Nandini spent some time with her family and friends and came back just in time for bed.
"You were really good today." I said.
"I actually felt good today!" She smiled.
"Did I tell you how beautiful you look in that dress?" She turned crimson.
I pulled her into my arms, my hands resting on her waist and hers on my chest.
"You don't look bad yourself!" She replied in the same tone.
"Let me show you how awesome I can be." I said.
I caught her chin between my thumb and my index finger and pulled her face closer to mine. I joined our lips, moulding mine into hers. She tasted so divine. Her lips were a perfectly made match for mine. She took a minute to respond and tried to dominate. Keyword: tried. I smirked at her actions. I pressed her waist harder, making her gasp. Taking the opportunity, the entered her mouth, tasting every inch of her mouth. She was perfect for me. She was mine. My mate, My Nandini.

Chapter Fifteen

Alya

"Good morning Baby!" Dhruv wished me, kissing my head.
"Good morning." I groaned in my morning sleepy voice.
I lazily opened my eyes to look at him, my head rested on his chest and his arms holding me securely.
"Chalo, freshen up fast. We'll go downstairs for breakfast." Dhruv said.
"Hmm..." I felt something weird this morning. I felt something was going to happen today, I don't know if it will be good or bad. I felt very sick and tired.
Dhruv and I went downstairs and saw everyone already there. Even Manik and Nandini had come.
"Alya, I told the Chef to make your favourite pancakes with no added carbs." Dhruv smiled at me. I felt very sick at the smell of those. It's weird, am I not supposed love the smell? I mean, that's the whole point why it's my favourite... I felt very nauseous. I sat down on the kitchen island stool and gulped a whole glass of water.
"Alya, are you okay?" Nandini asked. I simply nodded at her.
Everyone around me was eating those pancakes and I couldn't take the smell anymore. I rushed to my bathroom and threw up everything I ate last night.
"I'll see this, you all go downstairs." I heard someone saying.
I felt somebody hold up my hair behind but I didn't bother to look. I threw up more, and sat down on the bathroom floor, panting. A glass of water was brought in front of my face. I looked up to find Nandini. She smiled kindly at me and rubbed my back while I drank the water.
"Feeling better?" She asked.
"Definitely!" I said, still panting.
"Alya, have you been feeling anything else?" She asked, concern clear in her voice.
"Umm, yeah. I'm feeling tired and sick and very nauseous." I said. She widened her eyes and realisation struck me like a lightning bolt. I rushed to my cupboard and took out a small packet. I went in and checked while Nandini waited outside. I felt so happy that I was feeling giddy. There was a new life that is growing inside me! I felt out of this world.
I told Nandini about the positive sign and she too was so ecstatic for me.
"Oh my god, Alya! I'm sooo happy for you! I'm going to be an Aunt!" She sounded so excited and hugged me.
"Thanks Nandini." I smiled.
"So, how are you going to tell Dhruv?" She asked.
"Lets see, I'll drop some hints." I said. I had the perfect idea. I told Nandini not to share it with anyone just yet.
We went downstairs and acted natural. I told them there was something wrong with Last night's dinner so they chucked the topic.
I went into the kitchen and placed a bun with baby carrots and baby corn in the oven. I sat down on my stool and asked Dhruv to get it.
"Arey but Pancakes are your favourite na?" He said.
"But I don't feel like eating it. I kept something in the oven to warm it up. Can you please get it for me?" I asked very innocently.
He went in and almost immediately shouted.
"Alya!!!! Are you...?" He asked.
"Yes Dhruv!" I beamed.

Dhruv

My mate, My Alya was pregnant, bearing my pups! This feeling is amazing! She has given me the world's best news and I feel like I am the happiest man alive! I kissed her forehead, hugged her and twirled her around.
"Alya! You've given me the best news ever! Gosh I'm so happy! Thank you so much!" I beamed.
"Congratulations bro!" The boys wished me.
"Party time!" Cabir screamed.
"Yesss!" We all said in union.
I took Alya into my room and make her sit on the bed.
"Ab se you will only take rest. No dieting! No walking in 6 inch heels. Understood?"
"Yes, boss!" She saluted me.
"I love you so much!" I said.
"I love you too!" She said.
"I have so many things to do! I have to rearrange a room for the baby. Will it be a boy or a girl? Meri princess hi hogi! I will have to get pink stuff and the cradle, that will also be pink!" I started blabbering.
"Dhruv! Calm down! Baby abhi nahi aa raha hai! Time hai!" She laughed while I smiled sheepishly at her.
"Aww Dhruv! You're so cute!" She pulled my cheeks.
"I can't thank you enough for this news Alya! You've given me so much happiness that I sometimes think this is all so unreal! Like, all this will disappear when I wake from this dream. There is nothing better than knowing that the love of your life is carrying your pups! Thank you so much Alya!" I said kissing her hands.
"Dhruv! I am happy too! Believe me this is all real! There is more happiness to come, this is just the beginning." She said.
I hugged her tight and made her rest against the headboard. I asked what she wanted to eat as she threw up just by the smell of Pancakes. She wanted waffles so I went to the kitchen to make them for her. After preparing, I took fresh fruits and a glass of milk so that she gets some energy. I am never going to leave her side. I had a proposal for marriage planned in my head, this is just going to double the happiness. I had been very busy the past week. I used to wake up very early in the morning and finish some pack work and arranged stuff for the proposal. I used to go late to College. I used to wake up in the middle of the night and leave if there was any problem with the arrangement. I used to leave before breakfast and come late after dinner. She, never for once complained about my behaviour in this whole week. But, all this was going to pay off. I really had to make this perfect for her. I have everything planned, even the ring. I am going to ask her hand for marriage tonight.
She woke up late in the afternoon. I told her to get ready so that we could party. Well, I didn't really lie to her. There was going to be a party but not for us. It was for the rest of the gang while we went on our sweet date. It was almost evening when she finished getting ready. She wore a black A-line dress that ended just above her knee. Her hair was open and her earrings shining through her hair. I would never get tired of looking at her. I wore a cream T-shirt along with blue faded jeans. We settled in my car and drove away to our date, which she doesn't know about. I stopped near the sea for which she gave me a confusing look. I pulled her out of the car and led her to a beautiful yacht that was booked specially for us. Her jaw dropped looking at my arrangements. On the yacht was a table for two. The table was accompanied by a bottle of champagne. Carnations were arranged from the entrance, making it look like a wedding isle. Rose petals were scattered on the glass flooring which had an aquarium below. Pink translucent flowy curtains were bunched up in places, making the Yacht look grander. Scented Candles were lit across the table, lighting the couch that was placed a few feet away. The captain of the yacht was facing away from us. I asked for her hand, like a gentleman and led her to our table. The dinner wasn't anything fancy, it was just her favourite Mexican food, with less spice, of course. After dinner, I asked her for a dance with me singing. She rested her head on my heart with her hands around my neck while my hands were on her waist, holding her close. We ended our dance with a soul searing kiss, in which both of us poured all our love for each other. We settled on the couch and I knew, it was time for the actual event of this date.

"Alya, ever since you've walked into my life, you've only given me happiness. The first time we met was when I saved you from slipping in Elementary school. Instantly we became friends. Slowly, we started growing fond of each other but refused to acknowledge it. We told everyone that we were just 'best friends' nothing more, nothing less. Who knew that we were growing closer for a reason? On my 18th birthday, I finally realised that you were my mate. I cannot describe in words how happy I felt back then. Since then, my happiness has doubled. And this morning, you gave another wonderful news, which tripled my happiness. I love you Alya! I love you so much! I cannot imagine my life without you!
So, Alya Saxena, the mother of my pups, will you marry me?" I said as I pulled out a Royal blue velvet ring box out of my pocket.
Alya looked at me with teary eyes, frantically nodding her head in a yes. I slipped the huge diamond onto her finger.
"I love you too, Dhruv! I love you too!" She screamed in joy.
"It's so beautiful!" She exclaimed.
I sealed my proposal with another kiss.

Chapter Sixteen

Manik

I was woken up by the screeching sound of my alarm. I groaned at it for waking me up from my peaceful sleep. I lazily opened my eyes to find the most beautiful sight. My Nandini was snuggling into my chest. My wolf jumped in joy at the sight. I felt so content with her in my arms. The alarm that I had snoozed started ringing again. I shut it off before it could wake her up. That's when I realised that we have a Freshers Party at college today. Well, technically it's not for us, I mean we are not Freshers. It's for Nandini's batch but Fab 5 will be going because
1. I own the college.
2. We need to formally welcome our juniors.
3. Well, it's a party, there's no way we will miss that.
I unwillingly woke Nandini up by kissing her forehead. She slowly opened her eyes and gave me a sweet smile that made my day.
"Rise and Shine, Cupcake!" I said.
"Good morning Manik" she smiled.
"Aaj shaam tumhari Freshers Party hai." I said.
"Ughhh...I don't wanna go!" She said and snuggled back into my chest, causing me to chuckle.
"Kyu nahi jaana?"
"Don't even get me started! I have to choose something to wear, hair and shoes! Ugh! I'd rather sleep all day." She said.
I chuckled again. This is what made my Nandini different from other girls. While all the girls cover their faces with hideous make up, my girl runs away from them. Not that she actually needs it, she is beautiful just the way she is. She never boasts about her beauty, rather likes to be simple.
"Hum Fab 5 bhi honge wahan." I said.
"Let me guess, you're coming because it's a party!" She said mockingly to which I smiled sheepishly.
"Okay so, I'll pick out your clothes today." I said.
"Fine. If I have to go! Ugh." She groaned and rolled her eyes. She has no clue how hot she sounds and what it is doing to me.

I ushered her into the bathroom while I called someone get me a dress that I had ordered long back for her. I also ordered them to get a pair of heels and diamond earrings. I searched for my clothes after I was done. I selected Dark Blue jeans with white shirt and red blazer, a pair of my loafers and my wrist watch. Since the party was in the evening, I didn't have to worry about running out of time. Nandini came out wearing a simple pink kurti. Her wet hair gathered at one side, water trickling down. She looked so angelic even in this simple form. I snapped out of my daze when she waved her hand in front of my face. We both went down for breakfast.

"So, kya khana hai?" She asked me.
"Kuch bhi. I'm telling you Nandini, we'll get a cook. You don't have to do it all the time." I said.
"No. I like doing this." She pouted. I will definitely lose my control if she doesn't stop with her cuteness.
"Accha fine." I sighed.
"Aloo paratha khaoge?" She asked.
"Oh yum! Of course!" I replied.

She was standing facing her back to me. I hugged her from behind, resting my chin on her shoulder. I kissed her shoulder and neck, grazing my teeth over her mark, making her gasp. I kissed her mark and nuzzled my nose in her neck. I could feel her shivering and smirked at the effects of my touch on her. I refused to let her go and sucked on her earlobe, making her moan which only added as fuel to my hunger for her.

"Maa...a..nik" she moaned.
"Hmmm"
"Breakfast j...jal jaayega." She breathed out.
"No problem." I continued my work.
"Ma..nik please..." She moaned. I gave her one last peck on her mark and left to eat our 'breakfast'.

Let me tell you that she is one AMAZING cook! Her hands have magic in them! Me being a foodie, can only thank her for feeding me such goodness! Everything is so delicious! What better than two of your love combined together?

It was almost afternoon when Fab 4, Navya and Abhi came to our house as the girls wanted to 'get ready together'. I just don't understand girls man! Anyway, the things I had ordered arrived shortly after they came. I could hear the other girls awing at Nandini's dress, after they locked themselves in my room. But, that didn't matter, I wanted to know how Nandini felt about the dress. The boys had gotten their clothes too. Abhi was coming along because Mukti forced him to. We knew we had lots time to get ready, unlike the girls, so we started gaming. We played for nearly three hours and finally decided to get ready. It was half an hour before leaving time and the girls were still inside. God knows what they are doing! They are testing my patience!

Nandini

It was around 1 in the Afternoon when everyone came. The girls took me inside my room and sat down showing me their dresses. When they finished, Manik came in and gave me a big bag and left. Inside the bag was a floor length red dress with a deep neck and had very low back. The girls were stunned to see such a beautiful dress, well, so was I. I'm making Manik select clothes in the future too, I mentally noted. There were two more boxes in the bag. One of them had black pumps with lace toe caps. The other one had a beautiful pair of diamond danglers that made me suck in a sharp breath. It was perfect. I was awestruck at the outfit with accessories that Manik had picked out for me.

The girls insisted on getting ready, so we did. They started with make up but I decided to keep my face as natural as possible. Alya curled my hair at the bottom. I applied a peach coloured lipstick for a change. The dress, being deep necked, gave a full view of my Mark. It had been almost five hours since we locked ourselves here. I could hear the boys tapping their foot impatiently. Manik had also mind linked me a million times asking if we were ready yet. We went out one after the other, me being the last one. I walked down the stairs to find a devilishly handsome Greek god waiting for me. I forgot to breathe for a second there. He looked beyond perfect. Time froze when his eyes met mine. The intensity of those chocolaty brown eyes made my insides melt. My wolf was squealing not being able control her emotions looking at him. He held out a hand for me like a gentleman. I smiled at him and entwined our fingers. All the couples left in their respective cars, leaving us alone.

"You...you look really beautiful and hot!" He said making my heart skip a beat.
He moved closers to me and captured my lips in his. My hands automatically went to his perfectly gelled hair, fisting it in my hand. His hands were on my waist, drawing circles with his thumb causing me to shiver. He has always had such effect on me. Even in this kiss, he does not let me dominate. He pushed himself closer to me and my back finally hit the cold wall. He sucked the colour out of my lips, his tongue dancing with mine in sync. We unwillingly broke the kiss, panting for air. He kissed my Mark.
"If I don't stop now, I won't be able to control." He breathed out. I couldn't help but blush at his statement.
"Let's go." I said. We fixed ourselves and left for the party in his car.

The car ride was full of him flirting and me blushing. He was the only person who could make all the blood in my body rush to my cheeks. He teased me and pecked me at every single traffic signal. We finally reached College. As we got down, I could feel the piercing gaze of almost all the girls present there. They looked at me with envy in their eyes. All the boys gave a lustful look which made me uncomfortable. While some of them gave an adoring look, the others burned us with their gazes. As if reading my mind, Manik pulled me closer by my waist and glared at everyone. I felt safe and warm in his arms.

The party wasn't anything interesting. There was some boring music playing, the hall was not too crowded but still crowded, you know what I mean, right? There was a food table arranged with all sorts of snacks and quick bites and a huge glass bowl of punch. I was really thirsty but I knew that the punch would be spiked. After sometime, Fab 5 went on stage to officially welcome everyone. They played a slow song, asking the couples to get on the dance floor. Manik walked towards me to ask me and I happily obliged. We were dancing very close to each other, his hand on my waist and the other entwined with my hand while my other hand was on his shoulder. I was glad that he got me heels or I would look like a minion in front of this living Burj Khalifa. We were too lost in each other's eyes to notice that everyone else had left the dance floor. Manik was still singing and our lips were just an inch apart. For me, there was nobody else in the hall other than Manik. Just as we were about to kiss, the loud sound of applause broke our trance.

"Kuch toh sharam karo yaar! Poore college ke saamne bhi romance? Chi chi chi" Cabir started with his teasing.
"Navya, aaj raat sleepover ke liye aaogi?" I asked Navya, smirking at Cabir.
"Arey nahi! Mein yeh keh raha tha ki acchi baath hai na! Sab ko pata chalega ki you two are off limits." He said.
Manik smirked at me, making me blush.
