Chapter - 5

Recap - manik, cabir and dhruv joined nandini for lunch break..cabir decided to celebrate with girls their new friendship at his place..

So here goes next...

Nandini's pov..

Wow..my life has changed in just one night.. I am going to party with the THREE MUSKETEERS..i have never imagined it in my dream too..

" guys i have some work..so we should go..now.." Manik said to cabir and dhruv..but he was looking at me..as if he wanted to say something to me.. I think he was fidgeting..i mean he was tapping his fingers on the table and was constantly looking at me..so i raised my eyebrow at him..he noticed it..but he looked away..
" guys..lets go.." He got up from his chair...so cabir and dhruv also got up.. " see you tonight..nandu..and girls..at my place..do come" cabir looked at me to confirm on behalf of them and i smiled at him..and cabir and dhruv started walking.. But manik stopped..his back was facing me..after few seconds he also started walking..
" manik " before i realise i shouted loudly his name..he stopped in his track and turned back..i saw everyone was looking at me curiously..but i also dont know why i stopped him..

I walked towards him..i need to think something to tell him.. Suddenly i remembered something..
" your jacket..you forgot it in my room last night.." I showed him his jacket..he took it and smiled at me..i really like his smile..its really infectious..i returned him smile..
" do you want to say something?? " i asked him..i hope i am not making fool out of my self by asking him whats on my mind..
" no.. Nothing " he was sounding nervous..this is really strange..why is he nervous?? I should be the one nervous.. I just shrugged my shoulder and turned to go back to my table..but he stopped me by holding my hand..
I felt something when he held my hand..but i pushed that thought behind and turned towards him..
I raised my eyebrow at him.." I wanted to say that..cabir.. yeah..cabir..he got your puppy vaccinated today..so you can keep that puppy..and he also bought some stuff for him..u know like food, soft toys and all that.."

Wow..thats so sweet of cabir..
" Ok..thats really good of him..thank him from my side.." I told him smilingly..
" do you want to say something?? " he asked me same question..which i had asked him may be 5 minutes ago..
" About what? " i got confused.." You know about the morning thing " he smirked at me..ohh so he wants me to say sorry for the morning incident..did he really think i will say sorry to him for that..he is so bossy..always orders everyone around.." No..i dont want to say anything " i replied him and his smirk replaced with the frown.. " fine " he said angrily and walked away by stomping his feets...like a cute child..again cute??..what is wrong with you nandini..i smacked my self mentally and got back to my table..

I sat on my seat.." I am really hungry guys..you guys want something..tell me..if you want me to bring anything for anyone.." When i didnt get any reply from anyone..i looked up from my mobile..and i realised they all are glaring at me.." What happened guys?? Why are you all looking at me like that??" I asked them in confusion..
" will you care to explain..what was happening sometime back on this table?? " mukti asked me in her dangerous tone..this is her " dont mess with me or i will kill you" tone..which she uses to protect me from others..but i never thought someday she will use it on me..
So i am going to tell them everything..
" i saved cabir last night from some goons " i told them in my very small voice but loud enough to hear by them..
" What ??..how?? Are you ok??" Mukti started her questions worriedly..
" relax..mukti..just hear me out first" i told them and she nodded calmly..
" so..i saved cabir last night..he is my neighbour now..manik slept in my room last night because he was drunk..i fought with him in morning..i met dhruv in my class..he insisted to sit with me..and they know every single thing about me " i spoke all in one breath..and they looked at me like i was speaking french..
" tell us in details..i am so excited" alya said as if i was saying some bollywood romantic masala story..but anyway i told them everything in detail..and they were giving all kind of expressions..
" i cant believe..they know everything about you..are you sure they wont torture us tonight?? " navya asked me..she was looking scared..
" i dont know why.. but i am sure..they wont do anything to us..atleast..not today.." I told them thoughtfully..
" anyway its already 3:30..i need to reach cafe by 4..so see you guys tonight..i will text you all address and navya..make sure you get permission for night out from the warden of your hostel.." I told them and left from the canteen..all students were staring at me..i really dont like attention..and in this college any news spreads like a fire..so i am assuming by now whole college knows about my interaction with the bad boys of the college..attention really makes me conscious..i need to get out of here before this attention suffocate me..
I reached at the gate of the college..before i can take a step further..a black car stopped infront of me..one side of glass rolled down and it revealed the... great manik moster malhotra..

Now what he wants?? I am really fed up of this attention i am getting because of this guys..i really should stay away from them...
" get in the car " he shouted from inside the car..i really dont want to create a scene here so i got inside the car.. " what do you want now " i am really annoyed at him..

" I am dropping you to the cafe " his expression was blank..he told me..he didnt ask me..if i want to go with him or not.. He can never be gentle..he just knows how to be rude and bossy..
" Fine " i made a face at him..and he smiled at me..

after few seconds of silence.." Are you going to wear this clothes to your job?? " he asked me eyeing my clothes..i was feeling really conscious under his gaze.." Why?? Whats problem with my clothes?? " i asked him angrily to cover up my consciousness..." Nothing..it really suits you..but its not appropriate for the job " he was looking at me intensely..i felt my cheeks getting heat up by his comment.. I hope he didnt notice it...its really embaressing for me to feel like this on his just normal comment.." There is uniform which i have to wear in the cafe " i told him in small voice.." Ohh..what do you work at cafe?? " he asked me curiously..yeh bhi khud hi pata kar lete..

" Arey..tumhare detactives itni important imformation kaise batana bhul gye mere bare me..you should cut their pay for it.." I told him sarcastically..i am behaving brave now..because somehow i feel they wont do anything to me.. But when i saw his expressions..i wanted to laugh so bad..because his face was looking red because of emberessment..

After that comment of mine..our ride to the cafe was silent..after 10 minutes we reached to the cafe..i opened the door of passenger seat.." Nandini " he called me..his expression was again blank.." What?? " i asked him in confusion.." I will be here before 10 to pick you up "
" no..its really not neceassary..its just 10 minutes away from the home..i will manage my self " i told him sincerely.. Because i can walk easily from here its not really far from my new house..
" nandini murthy..just get one thing clear in your mind..i am your official driver from today.. Wherever you want to go..you will go with me.." He told me..ohh..sorry.. He ORDERED me.. And sped away his car from there..

I was standing like a statue there..what was that?? I hope he was joking..but i can clearly say from his expression that it was anything but a joke..

Wow..ayappa..i thought i am going to be their spot..but he has appointed himself as my driver..
