Chapter. 8 A
And after one hour, finally the stupid so called fun was over. I got up from my seat and moved to the corner. I waved them bye with a loop sided smile and smirk on my face, and smilingly moved out with Naina without giving another glance.
I reached the corridor and was standing at some corner with Naina. There were supposed to be no classes anymore. I was chatting with Naina when I heard the voice - " Princess ..finally I found you". I turned around and saw Cabir. He was panting. May be he came running after me. I was too pissed at him right now. I replied in cold tone suppressing my urge to yell at him - " what is it Cabir now??"
"Wo ...wo actually I am sorry...really I am sorry princess.. Believe me I didn't mean to do anything...please last time ...yar forgive me." He was genuinely sorry and pleaded while joining his hands and bowing in front of me ... Typical Cabir !!! It brought a small smile on my lips but I lowered my head to hide it.
"What the hell...how dare you Cabir? How could you ruin my plan like that and now you are telling sorry to her whereas it should be me whom you should apologise". The infuriated voice led me to look up and I saw Manik coming from behind. He came and stood beside Cabir having a hungry lion look. Again typical Manik !!!
"Why will I apologise to you..it's all happening because of you Manik ...how many times did I told you not to get me involved in your stupid shit but you didn't listened and it's because of you that I am even apologising right now " Cabir mocked him with sarcasm but he seems to be unabashed, standing there with full of himself .
"And how many times did I have told you Cabir that not to interfere in between but no you have to like always. And how dare you to help Manik in between our bet ??". Finally I bursted out not being able to control my anger anymore. These two dumb heads should be ashamed and sorry to me and here they are busy in mocking each other... Great what friends do I have !!!!
" Hey!.. He didn't helped me ..I did everything on my own...", Manik stated conceitedly, folding his hands across his chest. My eyes squeezed and my mouth opened after hearing him. Ok now ...this is more great...!!! he gets only one word 'help' from my whole rant. Like seriously.!!! I tried to calm myself in mind.
I folded my arms across my chest, and asked him taking steps towards him - " Ok so you wanna tell me that Cabir didn't stopped that slide deliberately ".
I continued with my sarcasm after shifting my gaze towards Cabir - " Is it so Cabir? Tell me ?"
" Ya ..ok ..tell her Cabir...go ahead", Manik too looked at Cabir with cold expressions. Cabir looked at our faces one by one. We both were giving glares at him. If this time he takes his side, then definitely I am going to butcher him right now.
He gulped his saliva and answered after taking a heavy sigh - " Ok ok... I did stopped that slide deliberately...and I am sorry for that yar princess ...please yar come on now forgive me"
" Cabir you are just an ass!! Just tell me honestly that you are mine friend or hers". Manik was miffed now rather being livid. He was way too much annoyed and pissed with everything going around right now.
" Of course he is your friend only Manik but how can you forget that at the end he is his princess slave ...right Cabir!! Ain't I ? ", Naina added her sugar coated lemon statement and passed a look to Cabir. I just don't get what's up with these two.
" Shut up Naina ", I told her to stop through my eyes.
" For once she is telling something correct... Cabir you have become her slave only...what was the need to support her ha" Manik again scowled at him for helping me.
"Same thing I can ask ...what was the need to help him Cabir ha?" Even I was way too angry with Cabir and this A2 was just helping in getting the worst out of me.
" O please for god sake!!! Just shut up both of you.. ...I cannot ignore lion but at the same time I cannot disobey even the tigress, .making a monkey myself out of it...!!! Happy you both got your answers", Cabir replied in an annoyed tone. It was clearly visible that even he was exasperated with the fight going on between both of us and him always being dragged in it. Finally, I was having a little pity after seeing his expression, after all it was not all his fault.
" This is happening all because of you Manik... What was the need to involve Cabir ..aren't you already satisfied with the cheating that you did earlier ..cheater A2", I spoke calmly finally putting words to my thought. He was the only one culpable in all these.
" You did cheating by taking help of Cabir .. I didn't", he replied nonchalantly.
" Oh like that...then who was that on the stage who winked Vishal before asking that stupid quiz question..." I snapped at him sarcastically. What the hell does he think that I am some kind of stupid bimbos who doesn't understand the stuffs going around. This A2 definitely needs a reality check then!!
I went ahead and put my elbow in his shoulder and asked calmly - "Come on tell me? Didn't you told him the answer beforehand? ". He looked here and there avoiding my gaze at him.
Just as I was about to back out, he grabbed my waist tightly and whispered in my ear - "I did...so what ...what you will do miss crazy". He was so close to me that I could hear his breath. His cologne was urging me to kiss him again. I wonder from where he gets so irresistible or attractive cologne. I tried hard just to get these thoughts out of my mind at least for time being now.
" Ya!! so whatever you did...nothing matters because", I replied huskily looking straight into his eyes.
" Because", he repeated with same intense in his eyes and voice.
" Because... at the end you lost the bet after all ", I pushed him with a jerk and came out of his grip in a jiffy, after mocking him.
" So tell me Mr. A2 how it feels to loose to Nandini murthy", I again stepped to his side and asked with utter confidence. He folded his hands and looked everywhere avoiding all of us. His eyes were staring the invisible air.
I took one more step ahead and pulled his cheek in order to irritate him more - "O come on don't be shy...it's your first time na ...with time being you will get used to it don't worry".
" Ya ya come on Manik ... Go ahead and share your first experience", Cabir chirped in between making him more vexed.
" Cabir just shut your bloody mouth ...", his tone was more infuriated now. Definitely, he can burst any moment.
" Manik it's hard to make wild monkey understand anything", Naina came in support with Manik. Well she can't leave even a single chance to snap at Cabir.
" Yes catty ...you know it better!". Well how can I forget that even Cabir can't like Naina. These two are worst than us. And their bickering started again. It was getting into my nerves now and finally I had to shout to stop them - " Will you both just keep quiet? Can't you both see that I have to discuss something important with Manik...now be quite for two minutes...not even a word"
" See this is the reason that I tell you to shut up ", Naina scolded Cabir with stern looks.
" Naina ", I gave her 'it's enough' look, to which she replied sulkily - " Ok Sweety "
" Ok so where were we .. Ya so now since you lost the bet I will tell you what all things you have to do ok" I tried to order him by pointing my finger at him.
" What ? Have you gone mad or what?? I lost a single bet only so I will do only one thing for you...don't make a list ...you crazy girl ", he replied with too much exasperation showing on his face.
"But how will I adjust in one wish only...", I said while the list of wishes had already started wandering in my brain.
" That's not my problem na sweetheart ..", Manik's sarcastic tone pulled me out of my thoughts.
I held his chin in my palm and replied calmly - " Ok ...no worry ..don't worry A2.. I'll definitely think of something". My acts were getting on his nerves. He gave a deathly glare to me and tightly held my wrist. " Cabir drop Naina home, I am taking Nandini." He announced like a king and the grip on my wrist grew tighter. He turned around and started dragging me.
I stopped while trying to withdrew my hands from him. "Oh hello !!!! Where are you taking me", I scowled at him for bossing me.
" Home only...I hope you don't want to go somewhere else ", and the famous smirk was back on his face. Now this is definitely the sign of some danger. I know something is cooking in his mind. But I had to admit that the smirk on his face urges me more to kiss him wildly.
Keeping aside my lusty thoughts I asked - " but my car?"
" Cabir will take it and don't worry I'll come to pick you up tomorrow morning " he tried to answer the even unasked questions.
" I have more cars ..you moron!!", I said in affirmed tone.
"Oh ya!! How can I forget miss Richie rich!!.", he replied in sarcasm and started dragging me without sparing a glance at anyone.
" All the best Manik!! Hope you don't get eaten alive", Naina shouted from behind. I heard Cabir giggling and Manik's chuckle at her so called warning. Really this what a best friend always does.. too embarrassing..way to go..!!!!
Ok so first let me tell you all that this is the first time that I have not replied to everyone's comments because I don't have time and I wasn't going to update also but then I thought that I should atleast inform you all ..and I didn't wanted to inform by giving a note only so that's why I wrote the part today... So let me tell you all that my semester finals are starting just in two days..and I am panicking because I haven't studied even a single thing, and passing Mba is not an easy job. I wasted my time by reading and writing..great!! God help me really!!! So now I will update after my exams are finished that is after 16 Feb. So don't sulk, it's a small break after all.
