Chapter - 3


London , 11 pm at airport..
Nandini and aryamann both are checking in for the flight of india..and nandini was crying continuously from last 15 minutes..
A - c'mon nands..dont cry..i can understand u will miss dad..but u can call him anytime right???
He wiped her tears..
N - you are right.. I am strong..i wont cry..i have to do it..but i will miss paa..she started sobbing again..

They heard announcement of flight boarding..they immediately moved towards it..its going to change EVERYTHING..

On the other side in INDIA..
Mumbai , 4am

A person can fight with the darkness with the help of lights around him.
But he cannot fight the inner darkness with the help of artificial lights...

It was chilly winter night. The night sky stood dark freckled only by the fewest of stars where just few hours ago it had been a sunny day.

You can see two large buildings standing in the darkness surrounded by beautiful garden. Boards of building can be read in little light coming from fountain..one building on right was girls hostel and on left was boys hostel...both buildings are joined with the one passage like bridge on the terrace...The so called watchmen were sleeping peacefully as if the line is only made for them " ghode bech k sona". You can see fountain in the middle of the garden of two buildings with colouring lights.


In the dead silent night you can hear the faint music as if person who is playing it, is trying to fight the dead silence around him. He was very much engrossed in playing guitar. His long fingers were creating magic on it but hic face was changing different emotions. He was restless as if he is trying to find some solace in the music.

He was soo much engrossed in music that he didnt hear that someone was calling him from last 5 minutes...that someone finally patted him on his shoulder and he came out of his trance..

Guy - cabir..what r u doing here??

C - nothing.. I was trying to push you in this water fountain...he said too innocently..

Guy - ho gya tera??? Cabir tu aise joke kyu nahi marta jispe sabko actual me hasi aye...he said irritatedly..

C - bro..mere joke na tujhse to better hi hote hai.. By the way i was calling you but you were lost somewhere... Bta na kiske bare me soch raha tha..he said teasingly..

Guy - he suddenly smirked ...woh i was thinking that i should tell navya about your "lauuu"

C - manikkk... Shut up yaar... He got annoyed..

Meet CABIR DHAVAN, a 20 year old guy, no.1 prankster of the space academy and no.1 flirt too... He flirts with every girl he sees. He takes one line very seriously that "jaha dekhi nari waha line mari"..jokes apart he is naughtiest member of fab 5 group and famous drummer also and loves his mother soo much.. And thoda sa serious about one girl that is his "madhubala" aka Navya Naveli. He is mirror of manik..knows him in and out..both cant hide anything from each other...he and manik are roommates.

And here presenting our very own hero MANIK MALHOTRA, a 20 year old guy, heart of fab 5 group..lead guitarist and vocalist of the fab 5 band..loves his friends very much specially cabir and mukti..he has one girlfriend...soha sharma..does not love her but they are together because of both of their mothers. He has love and hate relationship with his mother Nyonika malhotra and respects soha's mother devika sharma very much. He is arrogant, rich, handsome and has greek god looks.. All girls drool over him.. And he knows it very well.. He and cabir are roommates..

C - its already late.. We are leaving now..sooo lets get ready.. He suddenly became serious..

M- leaving?? Where ?? He was looking soo much confused..

C - dude..tu bhul gya?? Mukti...plan...
Manik was looking still confused..bro..how can u forget?? Birthday...goa..we are going goa...

Manik finally remembered and he gave disgusting look to cabir...
M - i dont want to go yar..for this stupid party..u know i hate h... Cabir interrupted him...chal na yar..you dont have anyother option.. He dragged manik from there towards their room..

Next day at Goa LPK CLUB, at 10 pm..

Manik's pov..
I cant believe i am in goa...i mean goa is not the prolem but i cant believe i am here for that jerk 's birthday..and uper se i am waiting from last half an hour for that idiot cabir..he is such an ass i am going to kill him...there are only drunken people around me in this club..that idiot cabir i am calling him but he is not even picking up my calls... Suddenly someone patted on my shoulder...i turned towards that person..
M- what the hell dude...where were you?? I was waiting for u from so long.. I barked at cabir..i am soo much angry at him...
But he being born kamina just grinned at me..
C - relax hulk, i was stuck with mukti for the preparation of date...

I cant believe this..this mukti na... Ohh you must be thinking who is mukti...ryt?? MUKTI VARDHAN..my best friend and member of fab 5 also..she is like my sister..i dont like just one thing about her that she loves abhimanyu..my enemy..i hate him.. And tomorrow is his birthday so we are in goa to celebrate his birthday...there is a surprise party for him tomorrow...and according to mukti i have to behave NICE with him... I am so happy about it...( note the sarcasm )
I was interrupted in my thoughts by cabir...
C - lets drink something..
M - yeah..order for me anything...i am not in mood to order something...

I sighed..this is going to be long holiday...errr...sorry celebration...
Cabir came back with our drinks..
I checked out dance floor...
M - ek bhi ladki interesting nahi hai..
C - yeah...dude..its such a nice place but not even a single girl is looking hottt.. He also complained like me..
By the way..i am single isi liye i am searching for girl..but dude...u have girlfriend...he tried to tease me...

I knew it..this kamina doesnt leave any chance to irritate me...
M- shut up cabir...i am not in mood for this convo...

C - c'mon manik, kab tak chhupayega mujhse..tell me na..if u dont love soha then why r u with her from so long??

M- fine... Its an arrangement thing...U know cabir i love mom..and soha 's mom is her best friend... I had a deal with mom that i will be with soha untill i find my true love...

C - one second...i cant understand..what kind of deal it is..and what is logic behind it..can u please elaborate...

I sighed... M- after the death of soha's father..mom helped aunty in business and took responsibility of soha.. And u know how soha is..she is fool..she easily can be manipulated..so to protect her mom wants me to be with her..and to make me ready for it she made deal with me that i can left soha once i find my girl...
Cabir was looking shocked by this convo...
C- wow..dude your mom is master player..she made this deal because she knows.. U wont be able to fall in love once again..
After hearing his last sentence i felt my eyes welled up...
M - cabir please lets not go there.. I am not in mood to talk about it right now please...

C- it just came out of my mouth..i am sorry..i didnt want u to remember all that...he looked at me guiltily..so I smiled weakly at him...
Its ok cabir.. I know u didnt do it intentionally...
Suddenly i heard music stopped..and people are cheering for someone..but i cant see that person..
C- dude..look at her..she is so hottt.. I am burning yaar...
Still i cant see that girl because of a guy standing infront of me...and i laughed at cabir's words.


Sooo guys here is the next update...i know there is not manan in it..but next update will be full of manan and lots of fireworks..so be ready for it...hope you guys liked it...

Recap -
Nandini and arya left from london to india. Manik and cabir talk about soha and his past...cabir saw one girl and praises her but manik couldnt see her because of crowd..
So here goes the next update...

C - lets see.. What is going on there...he said pointing towards the crowd..
Manik was also curious so he agreed for it..so they both walked through the crowd towards the bar..and they saw two guys were doing competition for the shots..and crowd was cheering for them..but what got their attention was a girl..who was cheering for one of the guy..

C - dude she is so hott...look at her yar.. Manik can see that cabir was drooling over that girl ...so he looked at the girl and he was shocked to see such a beautiful girl and on top of that she was damn hot..she was wearing a black short dress reaching to her mid thigh and matching hills with it.. She was looking extremely gorgeous..all guys were staring at her continouosly...
Girl - c'mon arya..you have to win it..
Yes that girl was nandini and guy for whom she was cheering, was aryamann..

Manik was spellbounded by that girl..he was staring at her without blinking his eyes.. Suddenly his trance was broken when nandini hugged aryamann because he won the challenge...

N - very good..mere sher..i knew only you will win..she said arrogantly..
A - yeah..lets party.. He was dragging her with him but they heard one guy calling them...and that was cabir...

C - stop guys..he was all this while watching nandini.. And aryamann have seen it..
A - what do you want?? He asked arrogantly...
C - look..in bachhon k sath to koi bhi compete kar sakta hai..if you have courage then compete with us..he said pointing towards himself and manik and smirked..
Listening to this nandini got angry..so she came in front of cabir...
N - what do you think of your self?? She said furiously..so aryamann kept his hand on her shoulder to calm her down..so nandini took deep breath and smirked..
all this movements were watched by someone and that was ofcourse our hero manik...
N - you know what you are right.. If they r bachhas..then i am sure ab tak tum log inke sath hi compete karte hoge..so lets take this to new level for you.. By competing with us ...adults.. She smirked and said.. Lets make small twist to this challenge..i am sure you dont want to compete with the guy..who is already down with 10 shots.. And as per what i can see u havent finished even your one drink..she said eyeing a drink in cabir 's hand...so lets play fair..and compete with ME...
Manik came to cabir and whispered in his ear... M - yaar, i dont think we should compete with her ..she is a girl..
Nandini saw both of them whispering something.. So she grinned...
N - kya hua guys...dar gye?? And she hified with arya..
Manik heard that and finally came infront of her..
M - challenge accepted..he said looking at her intensely..and finally nandini noticed him..she felt something in her heart..and she looked in his eyes which were intensely staring into her eyes..but she quickly broke the eyelock and took a deep breath and said arrogantly..
N - great...then get ready to lose...
M - sure we will see it...but i will compete with you..he smirked..
All this while cabir was observing both of them...so he came and said..
C - whoever will get the three bottles of beer down earlier..he or she will win...

Manik and nandini gave each other last glance and grabbed the bottle..
C - start...
Both started drinking...manik was clearly ahead of the nandini..after 2 bottles down..manik became slow because of shallow breathing on the other side nandini was drinking aram se without any problem.. Both gulped down 3 bottles at the same time..so it was a tie...and cabir was amazed to see that ..someone was giving takkar to the manik first time and that to a girl... But manik and nandini was frustrated because of tie..so they challenged each other for shots of vodka..but before they can start aryamann came and stopped nandini..
A - stop nands.. I dont want you to get drunk.. He said worriedly...
N - no i will win..no matter what..she said sturbbonly...
A - nands..you promised dad..remember??
She remembered her promise to her paa about not getting drunk...
N - fine...
M - what happened fighter girl? Dar gai?? He mocked nandini...so nandini got furious..
N - it was tie..so dont boast yourself so much..u r not winner..and she stormed outside without giving a glance to them and aryamann followed her out...

M - cabir...that was funnn..
C - she was such a patakha yar..aisa lag raha tha kabhi bhi foot sakta hai...
Both burst out in laughter...
C - lets move from here...its already 1 am...
M - yaa lets go..
They both came out of the club and heard someone was shouting on top of her voice...they ran towards that voice and saw same girl and guy..and girl was shouting at driver...
N - tumse ek kam thik se nai hota..call your manager right now..itni badi hotel hai or ek car bhi thik se kam nahi karti.. That bloody manager .. I will make the hotel shut..
The driver was scared and shievering very badly..
Driver - mam..wohh..
N - wohh.. Woh..kya kar rahe ho..bloody useless people..get out from here before i kill u...
Driver literally ran away from there..
A - nands calm down.. Yaar why r you so angry??
But nandini just glared at him.. Manik and cabir was very much shocked by watching this scene..but finally cabir came back to his senses and walked towards them... He patted on aryamann 's shoulder..and he turned around...
C - need any help??
A - look guys ..i dont want any trouble so just go away..
C - arey dont worry..what happened inside was just fun..nothing more..so if u guys need any help..we can help you... Cabir said honestly...
All this while manik was observing nandini and nandini was just randomly surfing on her phone...
A - if thats so... We actully need help.. Our car has some problem and i dnt think i can get any cab here...he said worriedly...
C - dont worry bro...we will drop you guys...right manik??
Manik snapped out of his staring session and agreed for it..
A - thank you guys...c'mon nands..
Nandini just made a face but followed the boys...
In the car...cabir and manik sat on the front with manik driving and arya and nandini in back seat..
After few seconds of silence..
C - where do u guys stay ?? I mean where should we drop you guys??
A - xyz hotel...
C - u dont live here in goa ?? He asked curiously..
A - no..we are from london.. We are here for some work...
C - ohh thats cool..hey by the way i am cabir dhavan...and u guys??
All this time nandini and manik were just listening silently..but after listening his name she finally looked towards cabir...
A - i am aryamann khurana.. He smiled at cabir..
N - i have heard this name before somewhere..she said to cabir in confusion..
C - dont you think that should be my line..and he winked at her..
Nandini just rolled her eyes at him..manik and aryamann chuckled...
Suddenly cabir and arya asked at the same time...what is your name?? First was asking to nandini and later was asking to manik...
And manik and nandini also answered at the same time..
Manan - Manik.. Nandini
All four were shocked listening to the names..cabir and manik was looking at eachother and nandini and arya was looking at eachother..
Suddenly their trance was broken by a ringtone.. It was nandini 's phone..so she received the call after composing herself...because it was her paa 's call..
N - hey paa..
P - hey my rockstar..how r u beta??
N - i am awsome..she said cheerfully..nd how r u?? Aapne medicines li?? Aapne khana khaya na?? That james.. Is he taking good care of you??
She bombarded questions in one breath..
Cabir and manik was amazed to see this side of nandini..because before half an hour she was furious and harsh towards that driver..and aryamann was just smiling by seeing nandini so happy...
But along with that certain questions were arising in the minds of cabir, manik and aryamann.
