I liked this wish list of Nandini but one thing I don't want to happens... I don't want this wish of Nandini to be done along with Manik... I just want manik to feel and get this experience with Nandini... I mean... I want Manik to stand next to her during her delivery and just want to feel him becoming a father... I want manik to see MaNan baby first...

her wish, his command.. I am in love with the title itself

"Nandini...just stop it yaar.When will you grow up?" Manik spoke in a shrill tone "You just cant keep on adding new wishes to your bucket list"

"Haan to..meri bucket list hai ...koi India ka constitution thode na bhi hai jo main modify nahi kar sakti" Nandini replied in the same tone " Aur rahi grow up hone ki baat...to I dont want to grow up.Infact I dont need to grow up when you are there for me"Her voice had softened now.

She stepped forward and circled his elbow while " and I know you will do anything to fulfill all my wishes"She swayed like a toddler resting her head on his shoulder.

His wish was her command and he knew it.He might repell them initially but deep down he knew that eventually he had to give up in front of his lady love.

"Ok" Manik let out a deep breath " I will talk to Dad's best friend who happens to be a gynaec...I am sure that he will be able to help us out in this"

Nandini almost jumped with joy on hearing Manik affirmation.

"Thankyou thankyou thankyou so much manik...you know I have been longing to see how a baby enters the world...Am glad I would be able to fulfil this wish of mine and that too with you!!!"

Nandini was busy watching something in her laptop when her phone buzzed.She answered the call without looking at the screen as she very well knew that it could be none other than Manik calling at this late hour of night.

"I very well knew that you would be awake" Manik spoke scornfully as soon as she answered "Why are you awake ?What are you doing?"He spoke without a pause.

"Chill Manik...tum itna gussa kyu ho rahe ho?"Nandini spoke softly trying to pacify her monster.

"What else do you expect from me..." His tone was firm " Ek to tum itni wierd demands rakhti ho and then you are awake till so late watching those baby birth videos online.Just shut your lappy and go to sleep"

Nandini was flabbergasted on hearing Manik's words!

"How ...how do you know I was watching baby birth videos?"She stammered.

"Of course I know Nandini Murthy...You are so predictable.Agar tumne online sab dekh hi liya hai then just cut the crap here naa...lets cancel the plan tomorrow!"

"Dont you dare do that to me Manik Malhotra...you dont have the slightest idea as to how super duper excited I am"Nandini leashed out at him in an annoying tone.

"Ok I wont "Manik's voice softened a little "But then you promise me that you'll sleep now..Bolo..promise??"

Nandini made a grumpy face and shut down her lappy reluctantly while holding her phone in other hand.

"Done" She said in a lazy voice .

Manik bit his lower lip as he could very well visualise her cute pout while saying that single word.A smile crept through his lips as he felt victorious.

"That's like my good girl.And now just switch off the lights and go to sleep.I ll hold the line till you sleep"He spoke affectionately.

This was the beauty of their relationship ..whenever one was furious , other one pacified automatically.Though most of the time it was Manik who had to face this defeat but he happily gave in front of Nandini...his love for her had always been unconditional.He always thought that he owed her a lot bcas she had changed him from a monster into a human.

Manik held the line for a few minutes after which he felt that Nandini's breathing had become heavier so he gave a good night kiss and disconnected the call.

The very next day Manik and nandini drove off to Pune .Everything had been arranged by the doctor.She was supposed to conduct a C section and had sought permission from the parents of the baby regarding the presence of Manik and Nandini.

"Nandini , are you sure you wanna go inside...I mean I feel like puking when I smell the blood"Manik made one last attempt to change her mind as he pulled the car in the parking.

"Arrey ofcourse I wanna go"She was smiling like a 2 year old who had been shown his favourite toy.

"See its my duty to warn you , Sunita aunty , the gynaecologist ...She only told me that the procedure is incredibly invasive...So I wanted you to give it a second thought"

"Manik pls dont start it all over again now...I am dieing out of excitement of seeing the procedure.You know I haven't ever in my life seen a few minutes old baby."Nandini's voice was full of zeal.

Manik let out a deep breath and got out of the car.He knew it was useless even trying but it was harmless either.

"Lets go"He gestured as nandini also got off the car

"Have you ever seen a surgery before?" Sunita aunty asked as they walked towards the OT
"No."Nandini replied
"Do you think you are going to faint?"She asked again
" Ofcourse Not" She replied, confidently and Manik smiled inwardly as he could somehow visualise what was going to happen inside.

Manik and nandini were made to wear the OT gowns and masks before they entered the OT.Both of them were made to stand at a safe distance from where they could conveniently have a look at the patient's womb.

The patient had already been given anaesthesia an hour back.The mpment Nandini saw the patient on bed , her face had started fading.She clutched Manik's hand.Manik noticed the change but didn't express anything in front of her.

"Ready?"Dr. Sunita asked her team before starting off.She picked up the scalpel and started slicing the skin of the expectant mother as if slicing a ripe melon.Nandini s grip on Manik's hand tightened but not for once did she try to avert her gaze from the Doctor's hand.On the other hand Manik was having a good time recording all of Nandini's cute expressions in his mind.

Eventually another woman who stood near the head of the patient , began pushing her tummy downwards and the Doctor inserted her hand inside to bring out the baby.

Nandini's grip on Manik's hand loosened as soon as the baby was out.Manik could see tears forming in the corners of her eyes when the baby started crying.

"Its a girl"The doctor announced and handed over the baby to the nurse who took her to the adjoining room for clean up and paediatric check up.

The patient thanked the doctor who was busy stitching her up.Nandini's eyes were glued to the door of the room wherein the baby was.

"When will they bring the baby?"Nandini asked the doctor in am impatient tone.She was having a hard time waiting

As soon as the nurse came with the baby, Nandini walked towards her.She first showed the baby to the mother.

"Can I...Can I pls hold her"nandini sought permission from baby's mother and she nodded in affirmation.

Nandini's hands were trembling initially but when she took the baby in her arms , her happiness knew no bounds.Tears of joy rolled down her cheeks as she saw the little angel sleeping peacefully in her arms.The baby looked so fragile and vulnerable.Her skin was soft and brand new.Her eyes wrinkled from the watery world from which she emerged.

"Manik see...look at her "Nandini whispered excitedly keeping her finger in baby's tiny palm "She is yawning...OMG...she is so damn cute"

Nandini kept on blabbering while Manik was feeling embarrassed .But everyone else including the baby's mother , who was still being stitched up by the doctor were smiling at nandini's cute talks.

"aap bale ho kal doctol banoge"nandini asked the little one whose eyes were shut "Ya fil enggineel banoge...?"

"nandini , banegi to wo tab kuchh only if you let her go out"Manik murmured in her ears "Dont you think her father must be waiting outside" He faked a smile.

And Nandini registered that she was so lost in talking with the baby that she forgot about her family.

She bade a good bye to the sleeping princess and touched her fingers oone last time before handing her over to the nurse.

After thanking Dr Sarita and the mother of the baby for their co operation Manik and nandini came back home.

"Vow manik , it was miraculous...it was out of the world actually .I just cant express my feelings in words.It was hope..It was joy...It was everything.I...I feel so lucky to having being witnessed it "Nandini tried to explain her feelings as they sat together in the living area of Malhotra Mansion.

"But it was gruesome"Manik spoke dejectedly.

"Ya a little bit but when I held the baby"Nandini's grin widened again "It was heavenly...breathtaking...Stunning"Nandini was speaking as if she was still in her dream world.

"You like babies?"Manik asked in a teasing tone

"manik , I love them"she proclaimed.

"Oh k"Manik spoke sheepishly as he stepped towards her and pulled her closer with a jerk "Together we can make as many as you want ...I am ready for them"He whispered hoarsely biting her earlobe.

Nandini hugged him and buried her face shyly in his chest.

"Together we will...as soon as we get married"She murmured against his chest.

"Your wish is my command madam" Manik replied in a firm tone as he rested his chin on her head and closed his eyes
