This is a problem of probably every writer out here :'( Its sad to see how people steal so easily and share the hardwork of other's - only to get mere likes and comment.
I am a writer too but none of my family members actually know about this. One fine day; My Sis was going through some MaNan fcs on facebook and suddenly she came to me and said, showing something on her phone," Look at this Di! This fanfiction is so amazing! I wonder who the writer is."
Obvio I was intrigued and guess what? When I read the content - It was no other but my story :P The page was enjoying crazy response and I wasn't even aware of this. I told my sis that the story is mine and it took me some couple of hours to make her believe that :P I am not on FB but thankfully my sista is and we managed to catch the stealer and give us some of our piece of mind.
Fortunately I happened to encounter one such Person. But I don't know about many other Fanclubs and Pages who are posting it. People seems to have forgotten what courtesy is. How much does it takes to just drop a PM seeking permission? We won't eat you guys up. Rather; if you steal; it feels worse - feels like marinating and grilling you guys up.
Such incidents compel us to act beyond our manners and get rude against our real polite personality. These people are not only degrading their own character but also ruining our personalities. Neither can we let you guys slip away nor you guys agree to dealing with things politely.
Few likes and comments won't change the bloody reality that YOU have STOLEN - someone's else' hardwork and whatever you are is reaping with the 'CHORI KA MAAL' is nothing but a false happiness.
The answer we get in return from such people is 'Whats Wrong in this? We aren't committing a sin. In fact you should be happy; We are promoting your work.'
For these people; My answer is - Sorry to break your bubble; but You are not promoting our work but your own page or FC. If you would've really wished good for us; you would've bothered to be courteous and taken permission before sharing it under your name.
Get a life Guys! Get out of your sickness! Make use of what you've been taught since birth.
P.S - My Words are solely for the one's who have stolen. I am surely sounding a rude bitch but thats me when it comes to dealing with my work ! I am hell possessive about it and I abhor Thieves.
