chapter 4c
still flashback:
after meeting with neyonika manan came back to the garden.they saw everyone was burning crackers and enjoying.both of them stood there smiling looking at other people.then their eye fell on a group of people.there was a boy who was scared of the noise of the crackers and so he was just closing his ears with his hands and closed his eyes tightly.while his friends were teasing him laughing and helping...no not helping actually forcing him to burn the crackers.it was looking as if they all were having a great time.looking at them manik said"what a coward boy he is scared...stupid"nandini looked at the boy for a while and said"no he is actually cute...very cute.chalo now lets go and burn crackers and have fun"saying this she went away."cute...like seriously?...cute...isme kya cute h...uuhh...i can never understand this girl "thought manik and went behind nandini.
nandini went near the stall where crackers were kept and took a bomb and looked here and there for someone to help her as she had no idea how to light them.finding nobody she decided to do it herself.she took the cracker and went to burn it.she looked for a place to burn as the garden was full of people...she found a corner empty so she went there.she kept it on the ground and leaned down to burn it.she lit it and ran away as soon as possible and waited for it to blast...she waited and waited but nothing happened so she went near it and leaned down bringing her face close to it and then suddenly...boom!...at first she felt the heat of the it but then suddenly she felt someone grabbing her wrist and pulling her...she crashed into someones hard chest and a pair of protective arms wrapped around her...all this happened in the matter of seconds."nandini!"manik yelled breaking the hug and cheaking her hands and face if she was ok."are you mad what the hell were you doing right now"he yelled again.nandini was still shocked from the incident and gathering some words she said"manik...wo...i was trying to burn cracker...i lit it and stood away but still it did not burn so i came to check and then..."this was when manik cut her off and again shouted"and then what nandini...is that a way to check...to lean down face it so that it will blow on your face huh?"luckily no one could hear him shouting and see them because of the noise of crackers and they were in a corner so no one could see them as well.manik looked and scared nadini's face took a deep breath and cupped her face in his large hands and said in worried tone"nandini what whould have happened if i did not see you huh?you could have got yourself burnt...why did you not call me if you did not know how to burn it ?"
"i searched for you but you were not around " said nandini innocently."ok...just leave it...did you get hurt anywhere show.."saying this manik checked her again when he held her hand she winced in pain"ouch!!" "sorry...see you have burnt your hand come i will apply medicine." saying this he took her with him to his room...made her sat on the bed and went to get the medicine.he got the medicine and kneeled down in front of her took her hand in his and started applying medicine .nandini was just admiring him and thought how much he cared for her."manik"nandini said."hmm"manik said still concentrating on applying the medicine and dressing her wound."manik what will ppl think if they see you like this"said nandini naughtily."what do you mean?"asked manik looking at her."i mean THE MANIK MALLHOTRA who never bends down forget bending down who never even puts his head down in front of anyone is on his knees in front of a girl...wow that's a seen to watch" said nandini teasingly.manik got up as he had finished dressing her wound and said with full on attitude"manik mallhotra will never go on his knees or bend in front of anyone!"
"yeah we will see that! "said nandini with same attitude and after tow seconds of staring each other with full on attitude they burst out laughing.
flashback ends.
thinking all this manik was smiling but he had tears in his eyes...he had mixed emotions...on one hand he was smiling remembering the beautiful bond of friendship and love he had with nandini but on the other hand he was crying because he could not tell her how much he loved her...yes he loved her with all of his heart...the day he had met her he had fallen in love with her and over the years the love had only increased...he didn't get a chance to express his feelings but today he will.
he got down from the car as he had reached the place he saw a short girl with red anarkali and long hair standing her back facing towards him...he knew that it was nandini.he took a deep breath and walked towards her determined to tell her how special and important she was in his life!
