Chapter 37 Bowling😆
"Manikk..." Nandini whispered as she closed her eyes and she could feel Manik's lips lingering on her cheek. Manik's fingers traced Nandini's waist and going on to hold her arms and his fingers moved up her arm to her shoulder as they pressed on the side of her shoulders. Nandini felt herself lose in the touch..it is magical...
Manik's left hand encircled Nandini and he touched her right cheek cupping her cheek in his palms as his lips pressed deeper into her cheek.
"M...Manik" Nandini's voice broke as she whispered..and opened her eyes gently. A smile bloomed on Nandini's face as she realized that this was her first ever kiss from a guy. Not even in her school days was she ever kissed by a boy.
Manik's eyes were still closed as he broke off from the kiss and gently opened his eyes with a smile...as he whispered in Nandini's ears "Thanks...thanks for caring for me" 😳
"M..Manik..wo main.." Nandini whispered
"Shh...Nandu..." Manik sushed her with his finger on her lip. Manik turned Nandini to face him. Nandini didn't know what to do..or to say.
"Nandu..thanks, thanks for making an excuse to stay and thanks for giving this surprise. I thought that perhaps U didn't care.." Manik's voice lowered a bit.
"Manik...if somebody doesn't care for a person like U...that person must be dumb..heartless..."
"And...U are not heartless...Nandu" Manik said with a smile. 😊
"I...I don't know if I am heartless or not...but to everything I did to U so far...can I say a single sorry with this noodles?" Nandini asked in a pleading tone.
"Sorrywaali noodles?" Manik asked with a smile.
"Haan sorrywaali noodles...and kaan pakadke sorry.." Nandini said with a baby-like innocence on her eyes as her hands raised to catch her ears. Manik quickly caught her hands and shook his head slowly.
"mmm kaan pakadne se sorry nahi milenge..." Manik said with a little smirk.
"Tho phir??" Nandini asked with a confused look in her eyes😕
"Pehle Noodles ko burn honese tho bachaalo..warna fireforce bulaana padega?" Manik said pointing to the noodles behind Nandini on the kadhaai and the water was almost gone!😆
"Aiyyooo" Nandini shouted as she noticed that the noodles is preparing and moving towards burning!😆 Nandini quickly switched off the stove.😛
"Aiyooo Nanduuu...jale hue noodles khilaaogi kya apne favourite Manik ko??" Manik asked with an evil smirk on his face and his hands holding his waist. 😈
"Maannik!! mazaak mat udaao" Nandini said with a frown on her face.
"Alle leee..Nandu gussa ho gayi???" Manik asked as if he was asking a little baby
"Haan gussa ho gayi! Abhi jaake dining room main baitho..main noodles leke aati hoon" Nandini said with a fake frown on her face.
"Arre yaar...hum thodi 19th century ke pati patni hai..that U will serve?? Let's do this..U take a bowl of noodles for me and I'll take a bowl of noodles for U!" Manik said in a friendly tone😳
"Haan Manik..magar bowls kahan hai??" 😕
"Dhoondooo Nanduuu dhoondooo..." Manik teased Nandini.
"Haan dhoond loongi..waise bhi ghar main noodles ke alawa kuch rakhte bhi nahi ho? Kya poore din noodles hi khaate ho?? Ek packet aatta bhi nahi hai" Nandini complained as she walked over to the cupboard and opened it.
"Haan...hamare busy life main noodles ke liye time aa rahe hai, hum music banaate hai, khaana nahi...and like seriously..do U expect me to sit and take a belan and tawa and make chappathis or something??"😈
"Aiyappaaa Manik Malhotra with belan and tawa?? hahaha XD U know...U just made me imagine U flattening chappathi rolls" Nandini started laughing loud pointing to Manik and clapping hands.
"Achcha??? Itni hasi aa rahi hai tumhe?" Manik asked with a sarcastic smile on his face.
"Hahahaha XD Manik imagine..U with belan and making chappathis" Nandini started teasing Manik.
"Belan tawa ke chodo pehle bowls dhoondo...Nandini madammm" Manik crooned as he showed a fake gussa for being made fun of.
"Ya ya... sure Manik Malhotra" Nandini said in a naughty tone as she looked up the cupboard and on the topmost 3rd rack was the porcelain bowls.
"Arre...itne oopar kyon rakhte ho bowls ko..Manik??" Nandini complained as she stood on tiptoe trying to take the bowl off the cupboard.
"Wo..na..mujhe jhukna pasand nahi...main apne eye level pe bowls rakhta hoon" Manik said with a smirk on his face.
"Arre...aise stretch karte karte na main tumhaare height ki ho jaaoongi" Nandini said as she continued to stretch trying for her fingers to reach the bowl.
"Haan stretch karti raho...aur ye noodles na poore thande pad jaayenge" Manik teased Nandini as he walked over to her.
"Manik..isko utaarke de do mujhe" Nandini said looking up at Manik.
"Arre...its your treat for me! Forgot so fast?? Noodles banaanewaali ko khud khilaane chahiye, right?" Manik asked in a fake sarcastic tone.
"Haan karloongi.." Nandini said as she looked around and found a stool in the corner of the kitchen.
Nandini lifted the stool and placed next to the cupboard and still she had to stretch a bit more to reach the bowls. Manik continued to watch Nandini trying to get the bowls with an amused look on his face.
"Help chahiye??" Manik asked suddenly moving closer.
"No, thanks! Main karloongi, Mr. Manik Malhotra" Nandini said with a stubborn frown on her face.
"Oh yes Miss Nandini Moorthy, U're most welcome!" Manik said as he folded his hands over his chest and continued to stand with a naughty smile on his face. 😉
Nandini continued to stretch and as she continued to stretch her arms the white shirt slipped up a bit showing an inch of her waist. Manik's eyes fell upon her waist...and he suddenly turned his head away as he pressed his eyes a bit tight nervously and he bit his lower lip. "I so want to hold her waist..U are making me lose control..Nandu..I must not look that way" Manik thought. Nandini turned around for once and saw Manik has turned away from her.
"Manik U ok?" Nandini asked a bit worried.
"H..Haan..I'm alright..tho bowls mile ke nahi??" Manik asked trying to hide away his nervous feelings.
"No..Na!! But I will take it..." Nandini replied.
A smile suddenly spread across Manik's face. "Ok..I will help U this once.." Manik made an offer.
"Kaise?? U will pick up the bowls for me??" Nandini asked.
"Noo..." Manik said pouting his lips as he whispered slowly in a flirtatious way.
"Phir kaise??" Nandini asked.
"First U get off this stool!" Manik said
"Arre tum iss stool pe khade hoke bowls leke doge?" Nandini asked with a smile.
"Do U think I really need the stools?? U need them not me.." Manik said as he looked at Nandini jump down the stool. Manik kept the stool sideways and stooped a bit and put his arms around Nandini's waist.
Nandini was stunned as she felt Manik's arms go around.
"M..Manik ye tum kya kar rahe ho??" Nandini asked stammering a bit.
Manik didn't say anything in reply but he just lifted her up in his arms and looked up into Nandini's eyes. "Hm...now look at the cupboard" Manik said with a little smile on his face.
Nandini looked sideways and she was on level with the third row. Nandini looked back at Manik.
"Dekh kya rahi ho..pick up the bowls now...ab hum cold noodles khaayenge" Manik teased Nandini with a smile.
Nandini made a fake angry pout and picked up the bowls from cupboard. Manik slipped her down him to make her stand on her feet and Nandini's on hand fingers were pressed on Manik's shoulder. The way Nandini felt Manik lower her down to stand on her feet...it felt as if he had something going on in his mind. "Is he attracted to me?" Nandini thought as she noticed his deep eyes look at her eyes...down nose to her lips. Nandini quickly took her hand off Manik and cleared her throat and walked over to the kitchen counter to place the bowls on the counter and Manik joined her too. Manik picked up one bowl with a smile as he looked sideways at Nandini. Nandini looked back and saw Manik smiling at her.
"His smiles...the way his eyes look...is he the Manik Malhotra I saw on television." Nandini thought as she smiled back and returned to concentrate of filling the bowl in her hand. Manik also looked away...and a silence ensued between them..as they filled the bowls.
The silence was making the atmosphere awkward. So Manik quickly walked out of the kitchen with the bowl and the fork in it and placed it on the teepoy. Nandini felt her heart throb even more as she realized the nervousness growing in her heart. Nandini followed Manik into the room as she noticed Manik walk to a table nearby with a cd player on it. Nandini didn't notice it as it was hidden away under the staircase. Manik put a cd into the player and one of Nandini's favourite song started playing! The intro guitar itself made Nandini smile! 😳

Nandini listened to the song as she walked over to the teepoy and stretched the bowl of noodles with fork in it in her hand to Manik..."This is for U..." Nandini whispered. Manik took the bowl and gave the bowl he brought to her. Nandini walked and sat on the cushioned chair placed opposite to Manik. There was just the music...Manik and Nandini as they silently enjoyed the noodles, smiles and each other's presence...were they enjoying the noodles or music or being with each other? Only Ayyappa knew!
"This is the best moment in this whole day after the kiss...thanks Ayyappa" Nandini thanked her Ayyappa 😳
Ayyappa didn't say anything but only...smiled😳
