After watching the last two episodes, with the crappy dialogues mouthed by Manik and Nandu and the poor screenplay, I went back to checking the credits of the show to find out who was responsible for this sorry state. Lo behold what do I find? Season 2 does not have an exclusive story writer or dialogue writer although it does have a screenplay writer - Manoj Tripathi.

Season 1 of this show used to have a story writer/developer, and a dialogue writer, apart from a creative director and screenplay writer/script supervisor. We all know that RY was the creative director. The story was initially written by Arzoo, then the Watwanis and for sometime Lalsa Verma. Akansha Tewari has been a script supervisor, a story developer, a screenplay writer and a dialogue writer at different points of time. This multi faceted woman seems to have redeemed the story whenever it sagged. Her dialogues have always been to the point.

Sadly season 2 never had a dialogue writer from the start. or a story writer after the Watwanis left. Maybe Karishma is taking care of these depts but not having an exclusive dialogue writer is really telling on the show. The dialogues in the last two episodes seem to be inspired from phrases used by fans in twitter and insta and maybe improvised by the actors themselves. They lack depth, logic or continuity. Without an exclusive story writer, the show seems to be just meandering along without any vision. Nobody seems to have any clue where the story is headed and looks like they are waiting for fans to guide them along. We may get cute/romantic or even passionate Manan scenes but without a proper script will it really be worth the effort fans took to bring back the show and their favourite jodi?

At the end of the day, the actor/s is/are only as good as the script. I don't see this show going beyond November, if they do not do something about this crucial aspect. Or maybe that is really their timeline. Manan HEA is assured but the journey there may not be memorable.

Even I can't see the show running beyond November. Season 1 script also had a lot of meta's but I never found them cringe worthy and awkward. The dialogues that Parth has been made to speak for the last two episodes, lol it is so idiotic and lame and cheesy for the major portion. Had it been for any other actor, I don't know whether they can pull it off or not. Thankful for PaNi that they make it even more bearable. The current writers, they need to get off Twitter and stop stalking IF and watch the whole of season 1 to get what MaNan is all about. I mean it was a weird feeling when I heard Nandini talk of MaNan, that is just for the fans. Why cant these douchebag writers get that. Also dafuq was Parth saying yday, a wounded heart is more painful than wounded body, I mean hahaha. I was like LOL, whatever. Have zero expectations from these writers, only hope is PaNi. They are giving their 100%. Logic and story is already thrown out of the window as far as season 2 is concerned, so chuck dialogues and get PaNi indulge in some action. They are gona rock it..:)

Yes the wounded heart is more painful than a wounded body is almost as bad as the hunger for love being greater than the hunger for food. I think the dialogue writers do not have a strong grasp on english hence whatever is spoken in english seems muddled. The hindi parts are fine but english writing is very poor.

They don't have a professional dialogue writer. So what can you expect? English grammar was not very strong in season 1 or season 2, although I think the actors too contribute to the mess and not just the writers, what with their impromptu improvisations. Preposition was never Parth's strong point, although the guy more than makes up with his prowess in acting.

More than the grammar, what irks me in this season is the lack of depth or logic, especially when there is so much explanation to be done after the crappy ending they gave to season 1.

Clearly for the current cast and crew, this show is just their job and not their passion.

I could have have it said it better than what the TM has. Whilst watching the last couple of episodes there's a resounding relief of knowing that the misunderstanding isn't being dragged and that MaNan have been left to talk it out and sort it amongst themselves. However the future storyline is lacking momentum, it's almost worrying to the point that I wonder if the writers themselves even know what they are trying to portray and without a clear direction in mind it seems that they are banking on the popularity of PaNi to meander this show along.

As the TM said the actor is only as good as the story. And without a clear story grasps even the actors won't be able to salvage this show beyond it's reach. The dialogues are a complete different debacle on it's own, I've been seen or watched such cringe dialogues in my life, when ships use their own ship name in their dialogue it loses it's essence, the dialogue ends up looking like a mockery than something that is said from the heart. They need to sort this out because it's affecting how the audience views the show.

Overall I hope they pull up their socks and sort out this mess, getting MaNan back can't fix everything, even before it was the story and the writing and mostly the uniqueness of the writing that drove this show to its height, so the existing creative head; Karishma needs to either employ a few more writers to sort out the storyline or start putting in some more efforts herself. There needs to be a shift soon otherwise the story in itself will fall flat to the audience.

When you read a good screenplay, you know it - it's evident from day one! The style, the way the words are laid out on the page, the way the story is set up, the grasp of dramatic situation, the introduction of the main character, the basic premise or the problem of the screenplay - it's all set up in the first few scenes of the script. KY2 S2 lacks in both, along with actors to carry out much needed intensity and passion in especially MaNan scenes! It's missing the Z-factor...

Hell, Arya and Maddy had more intensity and passion in their scene then MaNan 😆

Ps... It's unfortunate that these writers don't love MaNan the way we do...

KY2S2 was brought in to assuage the fans and fulfil the commitment to the sponsors. With the lack of passion all around, wonder how long the compassion of the fans will keep the show going.

If they keep this up, I think we need to watch Pani/Manan in the mute. Hope they give us enough action to make the scenes bearable.

I think the production house was reluctant to start season 2. It is because of pressure from the channel they started it when they were least prepared for it. The best of the writers and creatives have been shifted to other projects of BBC and there are no exclusive story or dialogue writers for this season. They seem to be just bidding their time till the plug is pulled off the show.
