The next day , Nandini entered collage with a lot of thoughts in her mind.Collage meant meeting HER,but how many days can she run away.If not today at least tomorrow she will have to face her.Nandini took a deep breath and preparing herself for all that's going to happen today.
"Nandini..."Someone called out,She turned around and saw Manik.She smiled at him.It was the first time Manik had seen Nandini smile genuinely.He walked up to her and smiled back."Morning.."He wished her cheerfully."Morning.."She greeted back with a smile."Nandini..you're smile is beautiful..you should smile more often."He said looking at her.She immediately looked away.Both of them walked into the canteen.
Dhruv,Mukti,Abhi,Joe and Kristina were already sitting and hogging in the canteen.Nandini and Manik went and sat along with them."Nandu...Why didn't you come yesterday?"Joe asked in his ever so dramatic British accent."Joe...I wasn't well..."She said while Dhruv gave her a really? look.
While everyone kept talking,Nandini sat down quietly."Nandu..what happened..why you so silent today..everyday tho you don't shut your mouth and today..all ok?"Abhi asked to which she just looked away.
"By the way guys..where is Navya?She didn't come yesterday as well..She isn't some one who misses on classes.."Mukti said stuffing her last piece of sandwhich in her mouth.Nandini's expression changed and Manik noticed it.
"Everything all right Nandini?"He whispered,To which she just hmmed."Ohh yeah..Harshad and Navya broke up..the day before..so I guess she isn't over it yet."Abhi said checking his phone."Finally..Harshad was such big jerk..."Kristina said."I know...don't know why Navya was behind that loser..."Mukti added.Nandini felt guilty,Not guilty but a feeling she couldn't express.
"Guys...I'll be back.."Nandini said and ran out of the canteen.Manik followed her and caught up to her."Nandini...what happened?"he asked making her turn towards him.She was on the verge of crying."Hey...Nandini ..why you crying?"He asked cupping her face.Her next action shocked him.
She hugged him.She hugged him as tight as she could and started crying.Manik slowly hugged her back.Never had Nandini felt so peaceful in someone's arms,His warmth was giving her strength.
He tried breaking in the hug but she held him as close as she could so he hugged her back tightly and let her cry.
"Nandini..what happened..?Why are you crying so much?Hmm..?"He asked holding her close to him.
"I don't know what to do Manik...It wasn't my fault...but Navya thinks all this is happening because of me ...He wasn't the right guy for her.."She said still hugging him.
She didn't know why she was telling all this to Manik,A person she just met yesterday.about whom she didn't know one bit,But kept right telling him,she felt relieved.Manik was confused,He had no idea what she was telling."Nandini.."He slowly broke the hug and wiped her tears."Nandini..I don't know what you are talking about..But I am sure,everything will be alright."He said with an assuring smile.
"Guys...what are you doing there?..we are getting late for class.."Joe said as all of them came out of the canteen.Nandini realised what just happened and was embarrassed."Coming.."Manik called out and looked at Nandini and walked towards their friends.
