Okay!! That was not something I expected God!! Did it have to be him? My bestfriend? Why? Why god? Why do you like to play games with me? That too "Lets play destiny" with you!! Ughhh!!

Manik p.o.v.

I was looking for my luggage when I bumped into somebody!! A girl with a petite figure, short and had a Canon DSLR in her hand.Well kinda cute!! What?? Shoo away these thoughts Manik!! But she seemed so familiar!! Why was she staring at me like that? Do I have anything on my face or what? I waved my hand in front of her but she didn't respond!! Okay!! I am confused.

Nandini p.o.v.
I couldn't stop but stare at him. That jawline and his eyes never changed its still the same!! Sharp jaw and a pool of water, in which I almost drowned. But my staring session got broken by his voice.
"Hey are you ok? And why are you staring at me like that?" He questioned quite confused!!
"Ya umm mm I am okay!!" I replied.
"I am Manik Malhotra" said He.
As if I don't know!!
"What's your name?" He again asked. Oh shit!!
"I.."
"Babes" Navya shouted oh thank god!! I love you Navya!
"Bye I gotta go" said I and ran from there!!

Manik p.o.v

Strange!! I must say. Firstly staring and when I asked her name she ran away? Are you serious? Weird girl!
Than someone came and hugged me from behind! Oh I know it must be Aliya!
"Hi baby.Aww I missed you"Aliya said..Yeah! That was missing
"Buddy we missed you! You didn't even call us!" Said Dhruv !
"M sorry buddy you know na those business meetings how much I hate them!!" I replied
"Accha enough now let me hug him na!" Mukti said ...that was cute my goth!
"That was cute" I said and hugged her.
"Manik baba what about me?" Said the drama queen.
"Nothing about you Cabira"
"Dost dost na raha"he said faking tears!! God he is such a drama queen and I took him in a bone crushing hug!!
Then we all left the airport and I went home as I was tired!!

Nandini p.o.v.

Thank god!! I ran away from there and came to Navya and hugged her and she told its late we both should leave! I nodded and got out of the airport and saw the Mercedes waiting for us! Aww Bhai he surely knows my taste!
I turned around and saw someone hugging Manik!! I was sure it was my Cabira!! Well my Cabira rocks I miss those days when we used to steal the teacher's colorful chalk! And then I saw my Muku!! She was the best company!! We were so naughty!
I miss those days man!!
Aliya and then Dhruv well we got on well too!! But what they did to me was something I never expected!!
Then cutting the thoughts we got into the car and drove to home.

When I reached home! I thought it changed but No! It was still the same the way my Mom and Dad had decorated it.
I entered and suddenly felt a cool breeze on my face so soothing and felt like the warmth of my parents love. I miss them and a lone tear escaped my eyes!
I wish they were here through every step of mine !!
But they say what happens, happens for a good reason.
I don't need to worry as they are in the stars looking after me.
That's what my bestfriend told when we were younger..

Curious to know about what aliya and dhruv did

Why does Nandini still refer him as her bestfriend since normally Kids don't do that, they change and tend to forget (like Manik can't even recognize her)

I will reveal how Nandu recognized Manik in the next chapter!! I have kept that in mind and wanted to post today but it was becoming really long!!

Too many questions hanging there manik was trying to recognize her but it was too long that he just forget her and move on as she was not that important whereas Nandu remember him as her best friend what happened then why there friendship was broken

Aliya must have a crush on manik so with dhruv help she broke off ties of manan

Chapter 3:

FLASHBACK

I was 9 and Abhi Bhai was 12.We were playing and running around the house as Mom and Dad were outside for a Business party.It was around 9pm so we had some sandwiches and dozed off on the living area.

I heard some noise which broke my sleep and when I looked around I found everyone wearing white clothes.
Many unknown faces and sad ones. I called out for my parents but they didn't seem to answer,they were not there. I called Bhai and saw him with red swollen eyes I asked him what happened but didn't reply and hugged me tight and started sobbing. I actually didn't get what was going on so pulled him out of the hug and asked him.
The next moment I found everything blur around me.

I got back in my senses and saw Bhai weeping caressing my hairs. I sat straight and asked Bhai to look at me, he looked at me with sad eyes and I told him to be strong.
It felt like the kid inside me died,unable to handle what it had gone through. That's the time I thought we have to be strong. We can't cry.
We have to fulfill what my parents had left..
With a new sunrise we began our new journey of being together forever Me and my Bhai.

It had been 1 year since our parents passed away.It was Mom's birthday today and I remember she wanted to go to Manali and Dad had promised her that we'll go there on her birthday.Things can change just in a click of your finger.
It was late at night and I wasn't feeling sleepy at all,firstly we were not at home as Malhotra uncle Dad's friend had some papers of our property and Bhai had come to collect it along with me. Malhotra uncle being the forever gentlemen insisted us to stay there today.As his son was Bhai's friend so he agreed.

I went towards the terrace sat on the banister closed my eyes taking in the cool air when someone tapped on my shoulder...
I looked upward to see who it was and found a boy taller than me and 2 or 3 years older I guess, he asked politely
"Hey, what are you doing here at this time of the night?"
"Well you aren't asleep yet right?"
"That was not what I asked miss?" He asked a bit loud.
"I wasn't feeling sleepy so came here to take in some fresh air" I replied and looked towards the sky,the Stars were shining like fireflies. The boy also sat beside me and said
"I am Manik Malhotra and you must be Nandini, Abhi's sister right?"
I nodded in approval.
"So you miss your parents a lot?"
"Yea!! I never thought they would leave me alone.*sigh*"
"Who said they left you alone?They are still there with you!"
"How?" I liked the way he was talking, so gentle so tender.
"You see the stars? Whenever someone dies God puts them as the stars to look after you." He said so sweetly, I melted from inside and a bean of respect started to grow for him.

Nandini went towards her room which was decorated in a shade of peach and white with silky white curtains giving it a serene look.She came out of the bathroom and opened her diary..

Nandini's p.o.v

Hi diary,

Don't you think we are meeting after a very long time? Well yes!! I am finally back in India leaving all the past and ready for a fresh start.
Guess what happened today? I met my best friend after 3 years! I know I know, you must be thinking how I recognized him! I know it's kinda stupid but I used to stalk his social media. What to do? He was my first friend and then Cabira and Mukti too!! But I wonder does Manik remember me? I don't think so.

Manik's p.o.v

I reached home and collapsed on my bed. After a good 2 hours of nap I woke up at 3:00 am and felt hungry. I made coffee for myself and stood in the balcony gazing at the stars. Something always haunts me and my dreams or somebody *smile*!!

Where are you bestfriend?? God I miss you so much Nandu!! Does she still remember me?


Finally I wrapped up with this thing!! Actually I was really busy!!
