Manik woke up the next morning with an enlightened mood. He was getting ready for office by looking himself in the mirror. His eyes fell on his own face and he started talking to his reflection.
"Hmmm... Not bad dude ..!! Really not bad..!! No wonder why still Girls go gaga over you . Your charm is still the same.." He smirked and winked on his reflection when suddenly his phone beeped.

Please be on time today. We need to submit the reports till day end any how.
Nandini.

He smiled seeing Nandini's name on the screen. He looked up from his mobile screen to the mirror again.
"Nandiniii...!!! Ahhh...!! There's something in you man ; really something for sure. You don't stop bothering me from that rainy night. Now I even know your deep hidden secret. Don't know whether you forgot to smile or you don't want to but I will make sure you smile again and that to from your heart. I don't know why I am doing this but I feel the need to this for sure." Manik was talking to his own reflection with a firmness on his face and full confidence. He then grabbed in car Keyes and left for office.

As usual Nandini was already there when Manik reached the office but today he was not late. He walked towards his bay and before going to his desk wished good morning to Nandini. As per her habit and routine she was fully occupied by her work but when she heard the morning wish she searched the voice from where it came and to her surprise seeing it coming from Manik she was shocked. They both have never been on such terms were they would greet each other. This unexpected gesture of Manik surprised Nandini but being courtesies enough she wished him back and again turned back to her.

Cabir noticed this unexpected courtesies behaviour of Manik towards Nandini and felt something fishy. He went upto him and started his enquiry in a low tone which could not be heard by Nandini.
"What's wrong..?? Morning and all ; that to this Gabbar..?? What's up..??" Cabir was suspicious.
"No yaar.. She's not Gabbar .. She's quite sweet and it's nice to wish morning .. Don't you think so..?" Manik defended her that she's not that bad.
"Sweettt...?? Really..?? Let me tell you this Gabbar name is given to her by you only.. All of a sudden this change ..?? Sweet and all..?? Something's fishy..!!!!" He raised his one eyebrow in suspicion.
"Relax mr. Sherlock homes.. Nothing's fishy..!! Soo just relax..!!" He calmed down Cabir who was trying to figure out the reason behind Manik's changed behaviour towards Nandini. Cabir then went back and Manik too got indulge in work as he needed to prepare the reports.

Whole day went by in working only. Nandini and Manik had to submit the reports so they were working upon it ; sometime together and sometime alone. Finally at 8 in the evening they finished with their reports and submitted it to Vaibhav.

Manik was talking to Cabir about an official topic ; when their phone buzzed at the same time.

Guys meet me in canteen before leaving ; something important.
Vaibhav.

Manik and Cabir headed towards canteen and waited for Vaibhav over there. Just then Nandini too entered the canteen. She was also called by Vaibhav. She saw the two of them sitting. Manik was about to ask her to join them when Vaibhav came from behind and asked her to come up as he needed to talk something with all three.

"Guys ; I have this internal information that there's going to be a flood of work in coming 15 days. We all need to gear up as there's no scope of rest or relax for coming 15 days. I can depend upon you guys only for the output. Manik and Nandini ; you two need to show your talent once again. This flood cannot be handled by anyone else. Also the result of this will surely decide the coming promotions. And Manik you really need to pull up your socks. Just give it for these 15 days and trust me no one can question your promotion and that's my promise. Forget all previous notices and warnings . These 15 days and there you are where you deserve."
Vaibhav informed them about the coming scenario of the office and the result thereon.
"Don't worry Vaibhav ; our team will not let you down. I may be unpunctual and bit careless but You know very well that when it comes to work ; I see nothing. So don't worry. And it's not about my promotion but its for you cause you have always supported me so don't worry we will give the best." Manik assured Vaibhav that every thing will be handled smoothly by them.

"I know ; I can depend upon you guys. New Interns will help us in this and this will be a deciding factor for them too. So the new interns and others will report you guys and then you all will report me. Pressure will be big so I have decided to divide the team in two sections. One section will be handled by Manik ; you and Nandini." Vaibhav said pointing towards both of them. This pairing up was not a strange thing for anyone because they have been teamed up together before in past also.
"The other section will be handled by Cabir ; you ; as after you both I can rely upon him only." Vaibhav further added.
"But Vaibhav ; I am sorry to say this but this will huge and Cabir can't be the sole responsible for everything. It's really hectic. I think he needs a partner to. And Cabir am sorry." Nandini interrupted Vaibhav and apologised to Cabir.
"Nooo actually ; I was about to say this. It would be better if I am too given a partner. " Cabir said to them as it was difficult to handle that all alone.

"Ok then ; Danish will be there with you. So all set. Tomorrow as soon as I get the official call I will announce this. But you three better pull up your socks because I will catch your neck only if anything goes wrong." Vaibhav said this with a smile and all four of them started giggling.

After that meeting all dispersed and in a short while left for their homes.
The next 15 days there was a total chaos created in the office. There was no timings for anyone. Whole night people used to work to meet the target and give the desired output. Manik Nandini Cabir Danish and Vaibhav were the ones who were totally cut off from the world. All they had was to give their best for the sake of the company.

And finally there hard work was been paid off. The targets were met more than what was anticipated. Head office gave an appraisal letter to Vaibhav's team and he was indeed delighted to have such responsible and hardworking team.

All the senior members were in the conference room.
"Congratulation guys.. You all did it.. And I am soo proud of my team. This kind of result has yet not been given till now. We have set a record ; thanks to you all guys. And of course Manik Nandini Cabir and Danish ; thanks for your support guys. Nandini and Manik you both have again proved that you as a team are best." Vaibhav was appreciating the results given to him by his team and with the last sentence ; Manik looked at Nandini with a smile who was as usual not much bothered about the appraisal given to her.
"After so much of hard work there needs to be party for sure. So this Saturday party from me to my team." Vaibhav continued and there was an applaud from the team.

They all dispersed from the conference room and got back to their work. Manik and Cabir were still with Vaibhav whereas Nandini left for the canteen. When she was returning from the canteen she saw something strange to her eyes.
"Danish ; tum yahan Kya kar rahe ho , Manik ki desk par..?" Nandini was surprised to see Danish on Manik's desk using his system.
"Wohhh.. Nahi kuch nahi ; actually wo ek report check karni thi ; toh I was.." Danish replied to her. Although Nandini was not satisfied with his answer but then to she went back to her desk without further questions.

In the evening Nandini was in the parking lot ; ready to leave for her home when Vaibhav saw her.
"Nandini ... Hii..! I wanted to thank you personally. You need a great job once again." Vaibhav appreciated her.
"That's my job Vaibhav ; you don't need to thank me for it. I am glad we ever able to make you proud." Nandini replied to him in a pleasing manner.
"With such talent like you and Manik ; my team will always be the best. By the way you are coming for the party right..?" Vaibhav questioned her.
"Vaibhav ; you know I don't attend the parties. I won't be coming and I apologise for that." Nandini said very pleadingly to Vaibhav to let her excuse from the party.
"I know you don't ; but this time you have to. This occasion is big. The target was a record setter. You have to come this time and no excuses. Take it as an order." Vaibhav insisted her to attend the party.
"But..." Nandini was about to say something when Vaibhav interrupted her ; "I want no buts.. You are coming."
Nandini smiled at his insistence and after taking a deep breath said "ok" and agreed to attend the party.

It was the Saturday evening ; the party night. All were excited for it. They had worked really hard in the past few days and now it's the time to party freely. Everyone reached the party venue one by one. It was around 9 but Nandini was still missing from the party. Manik although knew that she never attends the party but still was waiting for her. After seeing the time he decided to inquire Vaibhav about her.
"Vaibhav ; thanks man for this amazing party. Aap jaisa manager agar sabko mile to har employe khush rahe" Manik thanked him for the support he has always given and of course for the party. Vaibhav smiled and bowed down his head in assurance.
"Waise this time it was huge. The target ; no one expected this. Itna bada Kaam hua ; sabko aana Chahiye tha party mein. I see some people are missing." Manik indirectly tried to figure out about Nandini.
"Yup ; all are not here ; Nandini is not here to my surprise. Iss baar I insisted that she has to come Aur usne haan bhi kaha tha aane ke liye ; I don't know where she is." Vaibhav splitted out that Nandini had to be here as she said yes to Vaibhav. After listening to what Vaibhav said ; Manik's eagerness for her arrival was increased.
His eyes then and now were stealing the glance of the entrance , to see she has arrived or not. After around 10 mins ; Manik's wait was finally over.
Nandini entered the party ; dressed up in a full length black gown which was decent enough to be worn at a office party. She had left her hair open and accessorized herself with small black studs as earrings ; black wedges and black clutch. She was indeed looking like a black beauty for the evening.
Manik's eyes were sparkling when he looked at her. This was the first time he saw her in this attire and manner. Her beauty was pleasing his eyes as he did not blink even for once from the time when his eyes felt on her. He was mesmerized.
