Chapter 4 Hidden feelings

"HAIN DHRUV?" Manik almost shouted after getting back his senses.

"Are yaar ye Cabir pagal hogya hai kuch bhi bole ja rha hai!" Dhruv spoke and glared at a Cabir to stay quiet.

"Wo kya pagal ho rha hai? Tu pagal ho gya hai mere bhai. Nandini and me, we are going to get engaged soon aur tu hai ki..." Manik spoke holding Dhruv tightly from his shoulders.

"Bro listen to me! It's just a mere crush. Tujhe mere crushes ke bare mein nai pta kya? Mera to har dusri ladki pe crush hai! And it's not more than a day or two so just chuck it man!" Dhruv spoke and chuckled lightly to cool down the suggestion.

"Lekin ye koi dusri ladki nahi hai hmm? She is my would be wife and you, you have to stay away from her bro." Manik spoke narrowing his eyebrows. If it would have been someone else other than Dhruv, he might have killed that guy. But, fortunately or unfortunately, Dhruv was his cousin. Even if he wanted to smack him, he couldn't.

"Tujhe darne ki koi zarurat nahi hai bhai! I am going to California tomorrow." Dhruv teased him while poking on his shoulder.

"California? God! Tera bhi to college hai yaar. It means you won't attend my engagement? Bhai..." Manik was hurt as his best buddy was not attending his engagement but somewhere inside he was doing somersaults as now Dhruv would stay away from his Nandini.

"Yup bro even I have a college." Dhruv smiled and spoke while giggling and Cabir sighed.

"Acha tumhra ho gya ho to main jaun? Nandini must be waiting." Manik spoke and turned to go.

"Yaap jaa tu! Bye!" Cabir waved and he left.

"Main bhi chalta hun." Dhruv spoke.

"Tu kahan jaa rha hai bhai? Tu to idhar aa." Cabir said narrowing his eyes and holding him from his shoulders.

"Please, Cabir!" Dhruv snapped and jerked his hands off him.

"No brother. Listen to me. I know you have feelings for her!" Cabir exclaimed and Dhruv turned white.

"What feelings man? I LOVE HER!" Dhruv shouted and turned.

"Dhruv if you want Manik's happiness then don't ever come in between. Stay away from them!" Cabir spoke and patted his back. He left from there leaving Dhruv alone with his thoughts.

"California! Please get me mixed up. I don't want to remember her anymore. Aur agar main usse bhool nai paya to I am sorry Manik, my love for her is greater than my love for you. I have to get her by hook or by crook." He heaved a sigh and too left from there.

"Is everything okay Manik?" Nandini asked for the umpteenth time.

"Nandini. I said na, keep quiet! Let me focus!" Manik said turning in her lap.

He was focusing on something in his mind, lying on Nandini's lap, from past one hour. Even after Nandini's thousands of pleadings he didn't tell her the reason behind his suffocation.

"Manik! You are getting on my nerves right now! Are you telling me or not?!" Nandini raged and almost threw Manik out of her lap at once.

"Peace, woman, peace!" Manik raised his hands above his head and spoke.

"Shut up!" Nandini snapped and sprinted out of the room.

"God! This girl is going to make me crazy." Manik spoke and laid down on the bed with his back.

He texted her, You wanna go to shopping?

At 1 a.m.? Of course why not! She replied and he chuckled.

Then get ready we are leaving in 10

"I hate you more!" Manik snapped from outside and Nandini put a pillow over her face.
