CHAPTER-2 The Suhag Raat

The week slipped by and all the pre-marriage functions too. It was now the grand wedding day and Nandini was missing. Actually, she went out to the beach for some fresh air because she was getting emotional afterall ,with whosoever, she was getting married. And Aryamann & Mukti thought that she ran away.

"Oh God Mukti maine kaha tha na ki wo ladki pagal hai. Nazar rakhni chahiye thi tumhe uss pe." Aryamann was very angry. He was pacing around Nandini's room and was bursting out venom.

"Aryamann I don't know wo yhin thi she was getting ready fir ek dum se... You you... you relax..." Mukti was cut short by Aryamann. He was very angry at that moment.

"What relax? How can I relax? She just ran away like that. On her marriage? Sharam nai aai use? Is she mad? I told you, I told you to be with her!" Aryamann was shouting when he saw Nandini entering inside with a sad face. She was sad because she was missing her parents.

"NANDINI!" Aryamann shouted when she entered her room and slapped across her face without even listening to her. She was taken aback. She didn't expected this. She was marrying the guy she hated only for him and he, he slapped her?!

"Don't ever dare to run away like that! Get ready NOW!" Aryamann shouted and barged outside leaving her sister shocked.

"Nandini where were you kya hua?" Mukti asked her cute little doll.

"I was missing Amma and Appa isliye thodi der bahr gayi thi to get some fresh air par..." Nandini started crying loudly hugging her bhabhie cum best friend, Mukti.

"Awe it's okay! You know na your bhaiya's temper. You should've told one of us na. He was so tensed for you." Mukti herself got tears in her eyes. She still remembered her parents-in-law's last words: Beta Nandini ka khyal rkhna dono. Ek bhi ansu nai ana chahiye uski ankho mein. Promise us warna haunt karenge ham tumhe sapno mein.

"Nandini chalo now get ready. Manik ko bhi to dikhana haina ki Nandu cheez kya hai." Mukti winked at her and she smiled evilly with tears in her eyes.

"Aaj ki raat tumhari worst raat hogi Mr Malhotra. How can I just forget the past just like that?" Nandini murmured and smirked.

"What past? Nandini what are you talking about?" Mukti listened to her self-talks and asked her in confusion.

"Nothing! Do you remember how much he used tease me?" Nandini tried to cover up and actually did.

She got ready in a beautiful purple and white lehenga choli, totally matching with Manik's purple and white sherwani. After all, both the families went together for the shopping and bought matching clothes for them.

"Haye my angel is looking so beautiful. Aaj to apne aap hi katal hojayega Manik ka." Mukti winked at her.

"Wo to waise bhi ho hi jayega." Nandini said and giggled only to receive a sigh by Mukti.

"Tera kch nai ho sakta. Chal neeche." Mukti grabbed her wrist and started taking steps at a high pace as they were already late.

Nandini's face was covered, and for the first time in her life she was happy about it because she could hide her unstoppable tears which were welding up in her eyes. Her parents, Aryamann, Mukti and Manik... All came flashing in her mind. And boom, she struck the cord she didn't want to. Manik! She remembered her awful past with him and how he tortured her just 3 years before. Those 4 years of hateful love started filling her and she felt a lump inside a throat. She couldn't even cry anymore. Even the tears burned up all.

The marriage ceremony went pretty good. Nandini made her mind not to react to Manik's any word. She didn't want to talk to him. She has seen the happiness in Manik's eyes during the marriage. I know something's going on his evil mind. I just have to ignore him and made his family kick me out of the house. She decided that she'll just forget that revenge thing with Manik and would move on but who know what destiny had for her.

It was the suhag raat time and everyone was teasing the newlywed couple and to Nandini's utmost surprise Manik was blushing.
No Nandini! What are you thinking? Why would he blush? He is just so good in acting! Don't you remember? Nandini said to herself.

As per some stupid ritual, as said by our Nandu, the groom has to carry his bride to their room.
He picks her up effortlessly and started getting lost in her eyes. Manik took her to their room without breaking the eye contact. He made her stand on her toes but didn't leave her waist and tightened his grip.

"Finally! I have you, Ms Murthy, oh sorry, Mrs. Malhotra." Manik said and smirked evilly.

"I knew it! I knew it that you'd never change and that's why I was against this marriage." Nandini tried to get out of his grip but Manik was Manik he didn't let her go. She scratched his hands so that he could just leave her but do you think Manik was this easy to handle? Lol, no.

"I told you na that I won't let you go that easily." Manik smirked again and after staring her for 2 whole minutes, yes 2 minutes, she actually counted, almost threw her on the ground.

"You married me for your bloody revenge? You know Manik Malhotra you are spoiling two lives?" Nandini was getting angry. She couldn't stand his sight and that too after knowing what he was upto.

"Tch tch tch, Nandu Nandu Nandu. You are so innocent. Awe." Manik said making sad faces and pulling her cheeks. She immediately jerked his hands off her.

"Actually, I am not! I knew your evil intentions from before. What do you think? Mai sab bhool gyi hun?" Nandini replied smiling sarcastically.

"So get it straight Mrs. Malhotra, Mai bhi nahi bhula hun kuch. Get ready for this amazing ride with your sweet husband." Manik too replied sarcastically and threw a pillow on the floor. "There! Sleep there!" Manik said and went inside the washroom to change.

"Haha Manik you are so funny. Now that I am your wife I have whole right to sleep on this bed. And I will sleep here only." Nandini said gritting her teeth and saying loud enough so that he could hear her voice inside the washroom.

"I don't trust you. Kya pata itna handsome banda dekh ke you just lose your control?" Manik smirked and replied her from inside while turning the shower on.

She could feel his smirk from inside only. "I am not like you Manik Malhotra who could lose control. Don't make me say old things." Nandini replied and started getting her jewelry off and the stupid heavy pallu of course.

She actually made Manik stop his nonsense chats. Only she had that power to shut him up. She smiled and then frowned thinking about how they used to be and how they are now.

And there was Manik, standing in the shower, reminiscing the past events which she was talking about so boldly just now to make him shut his nonsense up. She still remembers everything. The Manik Malhotra smiled and then his smiled turned into a frown when he realized what all has changed in these years.

She was untying the knot of her blouse when Manik came back from the shower and started staring her. He was looking as if he was in some trance. Nandini saw it and smiled on how she still affected him.

Perfect Timing! Nandini muttered sarcastically under her breath when she found Manik inches away from her staring at her back. Take your eyes off from there you jerk! Nandini shouted inside her mind. But couldn't really speak because she lost her voice in his eyes. Drowning herself in.

And he did what she didn't want him to. Touch. He touched her back and smirked at the effect it had on Nandini even after 3 years. He slowly untied the knot and went back to his bed.

"Thanks for the unwanted help." Nandini spoke irritably.

"Oh anytime lovvve." Manik replied with a wink and a blew a kiss at her to irritate her more.

She changed herself and came out in her night suit and crashed on the bed, totally opposite to Manik.The night was too terrible for both of them as they were fighting with legs all the night. This is called MaNan. Manik put his leg on Nandini's face by mistake, and she kicked him out of the bed. He touched Nandini's legs by mistake, she slapped his legs tightly. They were fighting like cats and dogs for the duvet. Manik had to sleep without any pillow as his wild cat had tore it completely... And this was their suhag raat!

Yo here comes the chapter-2.
I know I wrapped up the marriage way too fast but just so you know, it's a SS and I need to make it go fast. Moreover, I want to show more MaNan cute fights instead of that shadi drama and all. So I hope you cooperate. It's my school from day after tomorrow and I am still left with so much of work load. So I don't have any idea when would I be able to update next but I'd do pm you if you are in my buddy list.
