Chapter 4
She was still giving him the silent treatment. With her home not around that much, he thought it was moot to remain stuck @ home so he resumed his office but restrained himself to limited hours and split tasks with his GM.
Days were withering by..
Their head strong personalities didn't allow neither one of them to budge in.
Everytime he would try to come up with something to talk to her, only later to be covered up with some lame excuse.
Any outsider would wonder, ''whoa, thats way too much alpha energy in a relationship'' yet they survived all these years..''
Their way of making each other piss off and tease was way too sly..Sitting just inches apart, they were miles away from each other.
He was engrossed in knowing the stocks and she was too busy texting and eating her cereal.
Neither of them made efforts to even talk, even while observing everybit of what the other was upto.
Manik decided to up his ante or else he knew this feud would continue for days or weeks or god knows till when.
Next morning.
She came downstairs, eyeing him around, suddenly he sprung from kitchen..
Her astonishment was not limited to his sudden appearance..it was because of his shirt..their special occasion shirt. Which they both reserved for intimate moments.
She didn't react.. She very well knew, this was part of his game..she just came and took an apple and sat opposite him..and started eating it..while coyily stealing glances of his reactions.
He's no pro or less..he was teasing her by taking harmfully a whole lot of chocolate sauce close to his sleeve..
There was almost a acute cue gasp, which she covered by with a hiccup and gulped some water and left from there..
She thought

Later that evening in Her office vanity..
Stirring the coffee, she was lost ..deeply lost in her thoughts..wondering how life turned out in a few years..
" we've battled worser demons in our past for our love to succeed..and here we are fighting with each other'' feels like we've lost to those demons..
Thats when she felt a wave infront of her eyes..
"Whoa, honey. WHat did he do today??'' said the ever concerning Sahil..
I just everted the question and asked him, how's Ronak!

"Whats there to talk, nothin, kuch nai..'',"So shall we all hangout tonight? Somewhere fun. I am in desperate need for some alchocol and distraction from the drama @ home and what say? Are you in?'' she felt like she badly needed a break from the neverending drama at home.
"Party is all the way in babydoll'',
''if ever i say no to that question, don't hesitate to tase me with your stungun..'' , i'll call up Ronak and ask him to join us too..
Rest of the day went in total blur ..in the mere excitement of her anticipation of inebriation in the nearfuture..
She went home and slipped on the first sundress she caught her hands on and pulled on a leather jacket.. She was relieved that he wasn't home..
The trio were ready to party hard.
Ronak had cut down his alcohol levels, well thats what happen when you have the misfortune of being the DD. But that didn't stop Sahil and Her from doing shots. After a while. They lost track of count,both were totally wasted.
Sahil and Ronak decided to hit the dance floor, and so did she, which clearly was a bad idea.
More like the worst idea ever.
They were drawing too much attention with their cooing, hooting and howling..
Little did she know, fate decided something worse for her that night, her better-half was just feet away in a dinner with delegates. Only to be disturbed by these uncouth brutes.
The moment he saw her dancing with them, his anger knew no bounds, he came rushing to them and was about to thrash Ronak, when Sahil interrupted, '' well, hello there sailor, hold on, haven't you had enough hurting her!!?'' , ''Hands off him, he's mine'' he shouted.
Without a word, he just dragged her from there and bid adieu to the delegates mentioning a ''personal emergency''.
The entire drive home were his long-glares and her drunk-giggles filling the car.
"Time for intervention...!!!''

Chapter 5
She didn't realise when they reached home, she was still strumming and dancing to the music in her head. He opened the door, and she was tumbling inside, and in no time she was lying face flat on the couch.
He didn't wanna disturb her sleep, so he just removed her boots and jacket and covered her up in a blankie.
Morning was painful for her. When she got up, she realised she wasn't in her room, she just scanned around in half-closed eyes and found him eating breakfast, and she sighed..Damn.
When she thought of sneaking into her room, she saw that she was just halfnaked lying on her couch..''W*F,W*F!, think nandini..think! think! think..!
Seeing her up, he told, ''i've kept a fresh pair of tshirt on your left, you threw up on your dress last night''
without moving his gaze from his blackberry.
"well, that explains half of it, she thought''
when she was about to leave, he added, ''aspirin and juice is by your nightstand, and waise, make sure to drink lots of water''.
"I'm never drinking again is all she could think at that moment, She freshened up and came downstairs and found him still sitting by the dining room..She sat opposite to him, as if expecting him to tell something..
Seeing him all this serious, all she could think of was how they used to get ready 3 years back..
3 years back.
"Where's my shoe, jaan?''
'' obviously, by the shoerack, what kinda stupid question is that?''
Even amidst their tight schedule. They never ceased to romance..
Eyelocks while busily combing hair which would end up in breathtaking makeout sessions..
Shower sessions to save out time..
Even breakfast, feeding out like bunch of momma birds and ending up burning the calories right then.
"Mat jaao na.. Even i don't wanna go to office, jaan..'', ''We'll stay at home, no we'll take longdrive to beach, no no..better idea, we'll fly up to Paris, What say, Madamoisseille??''
"Don't be silly Manik, how long do you think our honeymoon phase will continue?''
He gestured her to come near her with his fingers, she came,''what now?''
''As long as i'm with you, a lifetime isn't enough for honeymoon'' saying that he sucked the jam out of her corner of her lips.
"MANIK!!"
''Its getting late. Tomorrow, your craziness can go fullon, because its weekend and i've zero objection''
"Aye aye, captain''
saying that, both reluctantly left for each other's office..
His finger-tapping over the table brought her back to the reality,
She was just staring at him, his eyes were clearly tired from lack of sleep, Wrinkles on his forehead indicated there was some current stress at his office.So she thought of keeping aside her ego and fight for a moment and said..
"PAUSE?"
Till then who was busy with his phone, hearing her say that word,he dropped the phone,and came near her,''Yeah baby, PAUSE, i can't bear this silence anymore..i missed you so much and he just engulfed her in a big warm hug and lifted her..''
''Do you know how badly i missed you !?'' Saying each word with a pause in between kissing her on her lips..
"Yeah me too Manik''
''I want our old self back, i want us back, we'll fly to Paris tonight?''
''what do you say''?
"anything for my jaan''
'' i'm ready''
''what about your office?'' she eyed him..
"Screw the office, my jaan is important right now''
Till then no fighting!
