Honestly I didn't think that day would ever come when I would vent my appalled emotions in such a manner. Perhaps appalled is not even the correct word here. I'm hurt, wounded, on the verge of frustrated tears and above all...I feel betrayed!
For someone who's always remained beyond hopeful with every KYY episode, for someone who spends hours struggling every night even in the most driest episodes, to dig up that spark, that exciting essence that the show is so renowned for and write a couple of paragraphs as a tribute to the actors, the characters, the fresh airy story they had once promised to us, it truly breaks my heart today to be crying out my emotions of disloyalty.Perhaps, if like some other loyal fans on this forum...I had actually kept my expectations bounded to the lowest possible radar, I wouldn't be so disheartened today but to my dismay, I just can't help it anymore to refrain my inner frustration from bellowing out!So to whomever this may concern,You have betrayed us all!! You've slaughtered the trust we all withheld in your creative team, in the writers, in the editors, in the directors and who ever is responsible for crumbling the beautiful hopes, aspirations and expectations we had moulded in our hearts when this show had first hit our TV screens. You've proved to us, that no matter how loud your well-wishers scream, no matter how large we enlarge the fonts of our writings or how kindly we plea you to please bring back the USP of this show aka realism, you will shut your eyes, block your ears and lock your minds because our feeling, our emotions and our wishes simply don't matter in any form.My anger today has not touched a new peak because ohh there were no MaNan in today's episode or let me see... the villains got more screen-space then the mean leads. No! My frustration solely revolves around the idea that we as loyal viewers of the show have never...and I earnestly mean, not even for a single day have we given up on this show, and here you are, all so stubbornly compelling us to feel a strong essence of disconnection that many have already begun to feel! Those actors...they literally pour there souls out in their work, they uncomplainingly drag themselves through the late night shooting schedules you set up for them and still perform in an utterly flawless manner. Many times, we notice the dark circles shadowing their tired eyes, and it fills our hearts with such a proud feeling that these young artists are pushing themselves to such an extent just for us. But if this is the senseless and bizarre script they are having to work day and night for, I pity them! My heart literally cries for them because you aren't just betraying us, you're proving to be quite injustice to them as well as their commendable talent! They deserve so much better!!No! we don't demand that you show us a half an hour short film of purely MaNan scenes, no we don't demand that you telecast only lovey-dovey, happy-chappy faces and no we certainly don't want your story plot to be revolving around romantic rain sequences or stitch-causing hilarious scenes...we only demand R-E-A-L-I-S-M!!Like does even one of the bright members of your team, understand what that word means?! Realism is when a girl unknowingly suffers an emotional breakdown to express the traumatic state of her heart. It means when she throws the nearby objects around her to express the frustrated and hate-filled state she feels herself to be in because she is unable to cope with her inner-fears and her inner-distraught. Realism is when we see her feeling confused towards life, tangled up in her own feelings, drowning in her own pain. Realism is not when you add it to your side notes to get the make up team to apply light and pale make-up on your female lead to portray that she is "unwell"! Pathetic!!Realism is when this broken girl's grandma envelops her grand-daughter in the safe cocoon of her arms and comfort her that "My Nandu...I'm sorry you had to bear so much and I wasn't there for you when you needed me the most. But I promise you, that now that I'm here, we will fight your fears together my kanna. And there's no rush...you can take as much time as you need." Realism is when her grandma sings her a lullaby to make her go to sleep, not freaking force her to play an instrument as if she just fell whilst running and grazed her knee. Realism is when her grandma sits beside her grand-daughter, takes her fingers in her hands and assists her in playing the instrument she fears to play again. Realism is trying to wipe away the dark memories of the old touch of that monster so she learns to play music in the love-filled touch of her Amms.Realism is when you show us Harshad over-hearing and oversees the plan of Amms...alright fair enough, you want to give him some importance...we don't mind...go that way because after all his character need a proper closure too...but realism is also when you show us someone over-hearing Harshad's evil and nonsensical rants to himself of what he plans to do next.!!! For crying out loud, half the time he's yelling on the top of his lungs to Aryaman as to what he plans to do next then why is it no one can ever hear his all-so-genius plans?Realism is when you utilise the brilliant cast you have roped in for this show to the full of their potential. Rishabh? Aliya? Any one...Some...one?...Realism is when to make his love laugh, to make her smile again, to reunite her with music, with herself...Manik conceals his wounds from the whole world. He drinks the bitter drops of his guilt-filled tears so she stays unaware of the aching state of his heart. Realism is when we see Manik crying his inner fears too. It doesn't have to be to Nandini...no. Because we understand he will always hide his pain from her, but even if it's his stars...or cabir? Or maybe even Amms? Forget it...it can even just be him crying to himself dammit! But let the pour guilt-drowned soul let his own pain out!!But realism is when you simply don't juggle with sensitive story plots which revolve around harassment and molestation and you don't fluctuate the on-screen emotions of these fine characters. Realism is when you add substance and equal importance to each character, rather than make them look like some side actors, only fulfilling their job of enhancing the scene's colourfulness.Realism is when you actually sit down as a team and discuss as well as brainstorm what does the word "Yaariyan" evoke to you. It means support, friendship, love, wholeness, completeness, companionship, affinity, a selfless bond, union. Please don't ruin this for us or more importantly so, for yourselves.Because you may fail to understand this quite yet yourselves, but this inability to portray realism onto the screens is harming you the most and no one else. I will still enjoyably complete my engineering degree and build solid-structured buildings around the world but you my friends, will be left with a shattered dream. You will be remembered as murderers! The ones who murdered our dreams, our hopes, the potential of our favourite actors and most of all the murderers of your own show! And as I farewell seal this letter with my rage-filled tears, I can only say that you can try as much as you like to corruptly decimate the true essence of this show...but I will never let your unrealism terminate my love for this show, my unbound adoration for this show's characters and above all; my tremendous respect for all the life-injecting actors who portray these characters. Because the harsh reality is, we only even bother to switch on our television or spend sleepless night online trying to search for an unblocked link to watch your unrealistic story plots, for these dynamic performers. If it weren't for them, we would have all bid our adieus a long way back!No I'm not going to stop watching this show, no I'm not going to give up on my daily analysis thread and I'm most certainly not going to ever stop loving MaNan as well as the entire cast of the show because my love for them is enough to bury my hatred for you and your unrealistic story-telling!Sincerely,Some thousand of KYY fans!
