Soon they started prepping up for the dinner. The menu decided was roasted chicken, sauted veggies with soup and rice..Looks very simple but since boys were cooking it was a herculean task and fun for girls...

Shadows Of Darkness..Part 16...Nothing's Gonna Change My Love For You...

Soon it was night in the jungle...The whole group sat near the bonfire talking, enjoying away from the hustle bustle and all the worries of life..They have seen such greenery and experienced such peace. Even Nandini was letting go of her trauma and enjoying...Cabir, Navya and Mukti sat on one side of the fire while Manik and Nandini, Dhruv and Aliya on the other...They all were reminiscing the old memories... Mukti "Hey guys this trip reminds me of the vacation we took two years backs to London and Paris you remember?" Alya "oh yes I remember it was such epic fun na.. We did so much of masti.." She said trying to remember the incidents of that trip..Nandini was listening all this and thinking he has seen the world and my world is just Mangalore; how much I need to learn to catch up with Manik? "Fun dude we three me, Cabir and Dhruv did fun stuff while all you did was shopping and being cuddled with Manik in a blanket. You two were enjoying holiday of your own.." Mukti said and they all started to laugh.. But Manik didn't laugh he became serious and gave an angry look to Mukti who didn't even notice.. Navya saw Nandini's teary face and hit Cabir asking him to shut up, suddenly they all realized their mistake.

Nandini was looking down and Manik didn't knew what to say to her.. Mukti felt ashamed to bring that topic.. "Nandini" Finally Navya said.."I have to call chachi..So i will be back." She took her phone and walked off. She paused and asked Manik not to follow her, Manik knew the damage is been done already. As soon as Nandini walked off some distance he blasted Mukti "How can you bring up that topic Mukti. I know I have a past with Alya even Nandini knows it and ot she's been more cool then me about it but right now she's fragile and still in pain. So I don't care what past I had all I care is Nandini and my future with her." Mukti "Manik I'm sorry that I bought this up I just forgot that so much changed between us, I am sorry I forgot that we are not the same Fab5 anymore and you definitely not the same Manik anymore." She continued "I like Nandini I mean now I love her, she one of a kind beautiful, strong and she has the best heart in the whole world but there's a part of me which is Alya's best friend and which would never stop thinking that she came and you and Alya broke up."

"No Mukti you are wrong here. Manik never actually loved me yes we had a relationship for many years but all these years he was just with me physically his heart never loved me. It hurts but its the truth he never loved even half the way he loves Nandini, it hurts but its the truth and I have made peace with me..Nandini didn't break us she just showed us the mirror that how broken we already are and Manik he was always waiting for her to walk into life, to love her and to be alive with her..I don't have any grudges Manik." Alya pacified.. Cabir "Mukti please don't think that Nandini broke up them. In fact she is the best thing happened to him.." Mukti apologized to Manik and they all hugged and made up...

While fab5 was sorting things out Nandini was crying like baby all alone and orphaned. She knew Manik loved her and she never cared what he dis with Alya in his past but today she was crying. Was she crying for his past or her uncertain scary future..Suddenly she heard few footsteps she wiped her tears and pretended to talk on phone. A hand snatched the phone from her hand.."Your phone is dead since the last 2 hour.." It was Manik and she knew he would follow her.."I told you not come." She said.. "And you knew I would come." Manik replied.. "Nandini.." "Manik you don't need to explain me anything,," Nandini stopped him in between.."I know I am not the first girl in your life, I know I am not the first girl in your life and I am also ok with the fact that you loved Alya and maybe a part of you will always do that does't mean your love for me is less it's not. All I want from you is please don't give up on me.." She said while crying.. "nandini.." Manik tried to speak again... "No Manik please let me say it..I am not myself and I am scared one day you will get tired of this me and walk away but I beg you to hold onto me and don't let me go...You are the only reason I want to forget everything and live with you and live for you.." and she hugged him tightly. Manik enclosed her in him to reassure her of his love, to reassure her that i won't fade away...

He broke the hug, wiped her and cupped her face "Nandini Murthy you are right that you are not the first girl in Manik Malhotra's life but I need you to know that you are the last girl in my life. If you call what I had with Alya is love then call what I have with you a madness and insanity. And I love this madness and insanity that we have cause it keeps me sane, it keeps me alive. You are scared that I will let go of you, I will get tired of; the day I am tired of you is the day when I'm tired of my life. You are the reason i breathe, you are the reason I smile in fact you taught me how to smile, you are the reason I wake every morning Nandini Murthy. He kissed her and she reciprocated his love reassured and reaffirmed that they are meant to be together in this life and beyond it too. They will be in the stars and the fireflies. they will be in the air, in the rain, in the sun, they will be everywhere together.

Soon the beer cans were opened and the whole Fab5 were enjoying but soon Cabir realised that Nandini and Navya had nothing to drink cause they forgot to pack juice packs... Every one felt really bad and cursed Cabir "What Cabir one thing you don't remember! Now what these two will do we all are enjoying and they have to sit idly thanks to you" Mukti shouted on him..Cabir "I am really sorry Nandini and Navya I just forgot, I don't know how but it slipped.." He was feeling really bad for them.. "Its ok Cabir relax. Navya should avoid those cause of her pregnancy and I also don't drink..So it's perfectly fine for us.." Nandini tried to ease him out.."Yeah but know you guys are just sitting idly, lets cancel this booze stuff and sit n talk." Alya said.. "No no no.. Don't cancel because we are not having juices who said you need to have something to drink to enjoy you all enjoy we watch you having fun.." Navya said.. Soon they all started playing music and were dancing.. Navya sat on a corner where Nandini arranged some pillows to make her comfortable and sat next to her giving company..

Manik and Nandini were looking at each other the whole time, he came near her and tried to take her dance but she refused; he realized that she's still not over that grief so he came and sat next to her... "Manik what are you doing? Go and enjoy with your friends, you don't need to sit here because I am sitting." Nandini commanded Manik. "Nandini I did not plan this trip because I wanted to dance with them or booze with them." Manik held her hand as he spoke "I have done that all my life and trust me there's nothing new in that but now I want to spent every moment of my life with you cause every moment of my life has been made special by you." He kissed her hands and they both sat there watching the rest of the gang...

Soon Nandini realized that Navya has dozed off, she looked at time it was 8 pm and she knew the importance of timely eating at this stage..Manik had also gone back to join the group as Cabir insisted so she without disturbing anyone took all the veggeis and rice to the stream to wash them..Suddenly Manik turned back and did not find Nandini at her place he panicked and started shouting "Nandini..Nandini.." Nandini came running "What happened?" "where were you? Why did you go without telling me..I told you not to go anywhere out of my sight for a moment.." Manik spoke all baffled and hugged her. His fear in his eyes and the panic on his face made Nandini and the rest of the gang realize this kidnapping has been an equally traumatic experience for Manik as well and all he has been doing is putting a brave face. "Manik relax I just went to the stream to wash veggies cause Navya's dinner was getting delayed and you all were having fun so why disturb you." Nandini calmed him down.. "Don't ever do that.." Manik said..

Cabir "Arre nandini why did you go its boys ka job to cook. Ohh you wanna prove we can't cook and you girls can do anything." "We girls can do everything.." Nandini said.."Accha now wait n watch.." Cabir said and soon all the boys were busy in cooking... Manik was given the task to chop the beggies and Dhruv was given the task to make soup and Cabir was in charge of roasting the chicken...Girls took the charge of preparing rice... Soon the girls realized they are in for live entertainment as the boys struggled starting with Manik for whom chopping veggies was more difficult then climbing Everest..He was sweating, panting, angry and sad all at the same time.. He was cursing the veggies Nandini felt pity and got up but the rest of the girls pulled her back "No no no not now.." Alya said "But look at him na.." Nandini said.. "Sorry Nandini we won't let you play now that miss perfect girl friend game.." Mukti made her sit..Manik gave Nandini a cute puppy face and asked for her help..

Nandini couldn't resist that face, she came up with a plan "If we sit and enjoy this show Navya will get dinner late and its not at all good.." This remark was all needed to make girls swing in action...Cabir winked at Nandini and she gestured back at him with a smile...Since Mukti and Alya's culinary skills were at the same level of boys all the work had to be done by Nandini and Navya...Alya and Mukti were sitting guilty with the boys..Nandini and Navya started working very fast leaving everyone amazed..

Nandini was also sweating which made Manik feeling bad and same went for Cabir too he was feeling bad for Navya working hard..Soon the dinner was served and it was hell tasty.. Manik took a towel and wiped the sweat off her forehead and smiled at her..Manik brought a single plate for both of them..Seeing this everyone went "Ooo." Nandini blushed "I will get another plate.." "Come on Nandini we will share from this only.." Manik insisted and everyone else too so Nandini sat down.. Manik and Nandini looked adorable sharing food and soon they forgot everyone else around smiling and laughing at their said and unsaid jokes.. "So this is what made for each other looks like.." Mukti sighed.. They all did a touchwood sign praying for these two to be together happily ever after and said a little prayer for themselves too for reaching where Manik had Nandini were already reached..Soon after the dinner it was decided since the boys did not cook they would do the dishes, which they did making faces...

Soon everyone went back to their respective tents and were in deep sleep soon but Nandini couldn't sleep for the past couple of days sleeping in Manik's arms were a routine and now more of a habit..Same was the habit of manik too he couldn't sleep as his embrace was missing Nandini's presence...he tried sleeping but when unsuccessful after innumerable attempts he stepped out of tent to find Nandini sitting by the stream, Manik smiled and went back in the tent...

Nandini was looking at stars trying to find out what Manik found so fascinating in them..Suddenly she felt two arm wrapping a blanket around her..She turned back to see it was Manik who sat behind her wrapping himself and her with the blanket and taking her in his arms, they both were home...Manik kissed the nape of her neck and asked "What are you looking at fireflies girl?" "Well I am trying to find out why are you so fascinated by stars?" She asked, Manik sighed "Andrea, my nanny she raised me up when Neyonika was busy plotting and planning. For many years I thought Andrea was my mother. She was the one who told me that stars are the ones that never leave our side and they are the only constant in our lives..Few years later she died so since then I've always tried to find her in those stars.." Manik said with a choking voice making Nandini realize that he has heart of an infant kid which was bruised and needed care protection.. She turned towards him and cupped his face and kissed his forehead, then his eyes, his nose and slowly kissed his lips..

Nandini softly planted a kiss on Manik's lips, Manik grabbed her waist pulled her close to him. Nandini's heart beat increased as she let herself go letting Manik to take charge of her senses and her body. Manik was caressing the nape of her neck arousing her and making her hold him tighter. He slowly opened her mouth with small a gentle strokes of his kiss and entered. Under the starry sky, sitting next to a stream, under a blanket Manik and Nandini shared the most romantic kiss of their lives..

Manik slowly went down with Nandini on top of him and kissing each other continuously. Their eyes were close, hearts were beating fast with Manik's hands caressing Nandini's soft and shivering back her top was lifted halfway through unhooking her bra which made shiver even under the blanket. They kept on kissing with Manik's other hand tucking her hair behind her ears...Finally they stopped kissing and Manik looked at her and smiled, her flushed cheeks and trembling lips made her look even more beautiful. Nandini was blushing she couldn't see into his eyes and was breathing heavily. "Nandini." Manik held her chin and lifted it while her hands playing with the buttons of his shirt wanting to unhook them.. She looked upto him with a smile "Are you sure about this?? Do you want to do this?" He took her permission to make love to her.."Yes more than ever Manik, I am sure I want you and I want us.. What do you want?" She asked while resting her chin on his chest.."You really wanna know what I want ?" He asked "Yes" She replied..

He looked at the watch it was 5 am, he looked at a sleeping Nandini in his arms and wished how he could not wait to start his every morning with her in his arms. He kissed her forehead "nandini" he whispered trying to wake her up all the while rubbing her bare back in gentle strokes. "Hmm 5 minutes more please Manik." Nandini yawned and settled even more cozily in his arms.."Ok fine" He smiled and kept looking at her..

Recap: Chachi called the pandit for a auspicious day and he said after 20 days there's a very good day for wedding.. So it was decided that after 20 days Cabir and Navya will get married..The whole gang celebrated.. While the Fab4 celebrated the news of wedding with chocolates and hugs, Navya was sad.. It was going to be a big day for her and her mom will not be there with her, in fact none of her family members will be there to support her and be a part of this celebration... Cabir noticed her tears and came and sat near her.. "Navya I know its not the kind of wedding you dreamt about..But trust me.." Cabir tried to explain her.. "Cabir please don't embarrass me more.. you have already given me more than I deserve.. i just wish my family could be here.." Navya sighed.. "We are your family too Navya.." Said Nandini "You know I always thought what it would be to have a sister, with you in my life I found my best friend, my sister..So you're not alone..Don't ever think that.." Nandini concluded..Chachi came to Navya and patted her back saying "And nandini's family is your family.. Chacha and I will do all the rituals don't worry beta.." Navya was overwhelmed by her love and she hugged chachi...Chachi explained them what all rituals they will be performing like mehndi, sangeet, haldi, wedding and the reception, she also explained the importance of each ritual.. "Oh we need to add ****tail party with sangeet and how can we not organize a bachelor and bachelorette party.." Alya chipped in.. "Yes that's a must.." Mukti said.. "What is a bachelor and bachelorette party?" Nandini asked innocently as she and Navya were both unaware of it.. Everyone laughed and said "You will know Nandini very soon.." Mukti winked..Soon they all left for college as they would discuss the rest of the things there..Soon they were all sitting in the Fab5 music room prepping up for the wedding.. "Guest list..Let's start with it.." Dhruv said.. "What is there to start every student of Space is invited to the shaadi of the year.." Alya said.. "Yes we will book a volvo buses to accommodate everyone comfortably..." Alya winked at him.."ahem ahem we all are here." Mukti gestured.. "Ok guys next food.." Manik said..."We need to have all the cuisines guys.. Italian, Mexican, Mediterranean, Thai and yes Indian too..And Alya its your responsibility to get the finest wines and scotches.." Manik said.. While Fab5 was listing out all the details Nandini and Navya were sitting and listening to them...All this high end weddings were an alien concepts for them... "Arre Nandini you also suggest na something.." Cabir asked her.. "What should I say..I don't have any knowledge about this.." Nandini said.. "What you never attended a wedding?" Manik asked "I have attended many weddings but none of them were a high ended affair like this.. Foe me and Navya weddings are an occasion to share happiness, meeting family, cousins and friends and have a great time together.." "We never went to beach houses for weddings but we shared rooms with our friends and cousins and had great fun..We don't know about these cuisines all we know is Indian food which all our aunts and mom cooked with great fun.." Navya said.. "So I don't think we can suggest on anything other than the rituals..Whatever you all decide we will enjoy that.." Nandini said.. "Wow what a great way to show us how poor we all are.."Manik said.. "What when did we said that??" Nandini was baffled and scared by this remark.. "We didn't wanted to make fun of anyone or anything in fact we have no knowledge of these things.." Nandini said almost reducing to tears.. "Nandini relax.." Cabir said "manik didn't mean that.." "Yes all I meant was we never enjoyed any wedding like you guys did.. All we wanted was to run away from there as soon as possible..So you guys are lucky to experience such happiness..In fact this will be the first wedding where we will enjoy and have fun.." Manik said while wiping Nandini's tears which already started flowing..

The rest of the day was spent make lists and more lists..shopping list, clothes list, jewellery list and what not..By the time they finished listing they were all very very tired and exhausted..They all made a plan to meet up in the college next day and go for shopping...Finally they all left for the day..Manik dropped Nandini at home.."So what have you thought?? He asked "About what??" She asked.. "About moving in..what else.." Manik said.. "Manik you know what I think.." Nandini said.. "Of course I know Nandini you do want to move in with me but you are scared...Why?" Manik asked "Didn't you see the difference in our lifestyle Manik and you are still asking me this.." Nandini replied.. Manik "That Nandini i go to pubs, parties and discos because I wanted to escape the loneliness of life..but with you I don't need to run away..I want to come home to you for the rest of my life and I want to start that right away.." Nandini "But Manik??" Manik "Toh tum aise nahi manogi? Fine tonight I am not staying with you..I am going home.." Nandini "What but why?" Manik "Cause what will society think Nandini" he mocked her and "I miss my bed too" and Manik drove off leaving Nandini shocked...

Later that night Nandini came to her room after dinner and she found it to be very empty.. It was the same room that she had lived in ever since coming to Mumbai but tonight it felt stranger..Someone was missing, Manik was missing...She laid down on her bed and as per habit turned to climb on his shoulder but he was not there...Nandini missed him terribly and became restless..All she could do is imagine Manik in her room tucking in her bed, teasing her, kissing her playing with her hair... Even Manik's condition was no different.. He was lying on his bed staring the ceiling blankly, he locked his arms imagining Nandini in them only to realize she is not there.. He missed her smile, the way she slept on his shoulders and how she always kissed his cheeks good night..He missed all of it and all of her...They were apart and this distance was tearing them down..

Finally they both got up from their beds.. Manik switched on the car and drove straight to Nandini's home..Just as he was about to call her, he received a call from her.. "Open the door.." "Come down.." Nandini and Manik said respectively.."Wait...open the door? Where are you?" Manik asked.. "I am at your house.." Nandini replied.. "What and I am at your house.." Manik said..
