Chapter 22 A

Next morning Nandini was the first to woke up. She lazily opened her eyes and noticed Manik lying next to her hiding his face in her hair. A smile with a little blush came on her face. Then she remembered that Manik will not be with her for four days. Her smile instantly faded away. How will she live without this man. In very short duration Manik has become a very important and only part of her life how will she survive without him. She slowly ruffled his hair lightly and kissed his forehead. She wanted to capture him in her eyes as much as she can. Her heart beat was becoming very fast only on the thought that she will not gonna see his angelic face for four long days. She lovingly kissed his eyes and he sleepily opened his eyes to see her.

"Good morning..!!" Nandini said ruffling his hair again.

"Good morning honey..!!" Saying that Manik pecked her lips and Nandini hugged him.

"Manik..!!" Nandini whispered.

"Hmm..!!" Manik hummed lovingly stroking her hair.

"Do you know how many hours are there in four days?" Nandini said sadly and Manik too become sad.

"No I don't know..!!" Manik whispered sadly he knew but didn't want to say that.

"But I know..!! 96 long long hours..!!" She choked at her own words and hide her face in crook of his neck.

"Please Manik don't go..!!" Nandini sobbed again. And Manik become restless.

"Nandu..!! Meri jaan please if you will cry how will I able to go?" Manik said sadly. "And mera jana is very necessary agr na hota tou main kbhi tmy choor kar nahi jata..!"

"Manik..!! Please try to come back soon..!!" Nandini said sadly making a pout.

"I promise I'll be back soon..!!"Saying that Manik took her in a deep passionate kiss to which Nandini responded feverishly. After they broke the kiss Manik noticed Nandini breathing more heavily than usual.

"Nandini tum theek ho na?" Manik asked worriedly.

"Manik..!! I am more than fine with you..!!"Nandini said lovingly ruffling his hair and Manik hugged her securely in his arms.

Manik was sitting on the bed working on his laptop while Nandini was packing his stuff although Manik had stopped her from doing all this because of her health but Nandini wanted to do it for him. She was continuously distracting him from his work asking him about his shirts, pants, ties, everything which he needed. Manik in spite of his busy work replying her patiently. Nandini's wound was much better now but still it was paining. She plastered a smile and tried her best that Manik do not notice her face.

"Manik..!! I can't find your red tie..!! Where is it?"Nandini was confused she looked at Manik and he shrugged his shoulders as if telling he don't know, again turned his attention towards his laptop. Now finding the tie became a mystery for Nandini. "Kahan chali gai?" Nandini was looking here and there in almirah to find that tie at last she got the glimpse of it on the top section of the Almirah which was obviously out of range for Nandini.

"Got it..!! Thank God I found it..!!" She exclaimed and clapped with joy. Manik didn't looked up from his laptop because Nandini's voice was enough for him that she was happy now. But Nandini's sudden scream forced him to look at her and rushed towards her. She was trying to reach the tie and in that session she over stressed her wound a sharp pang of pain filled her body and she screamed involuntary. Now she was about to fall when Manik gathered her in his arms and she clutched his shirt tightly. Manik was too much worried seeing her like this her eyes were moist now. Manik quickly but carefully picked her up in his arms and placed her on the bed. Nandini's eyes were closed and she was taking deep breaths as trying to overcome her pain. Manik sat beside her.

"Can't you just keep yourself out of trouble? I told you not to do all this but you never listen to me..!! Kya zarorat the us tie ki haan? Nahi pehnta tou koi farak nahi par jata..!!" Manik shouted worriedly.

"But it suits you..!!" Nandini said pouting her lips.

"Ufff Nandini..!! Don't you dare argue with me..!!" Manik again said angrily but Nandini hugged him. Manik's anger flew away in seconds he hugged her back.

"I love you Manik..!! And I know you can't let anything bad happen to me..!!" Nandini was whispering in his ear and Manik shut his eyes helplessly he can't be angry with this girl.

"I love you too Nandini..!! Look your health is something that I can't compromise...!! You are very special to me..!! I can't lose you Nandini..!! For me please just take care of yourself..!!" Manik lovingly tried to emotional blackmail her because he knew that she was very stubborn and now he was too much worried for her.

"And yeah don't you dare to try these stunts in my absence..!!" Manik warned her once again. Nandini who was all the time smiling on Manik's advises suddenly become sad smile faded away from her lips when she remembered that Manik will not be there for her for next four long days. No one will be there to listen her "nakhary". For four days no one will be there to ask her to eat properly. No one will be there to scold her from doing childish things. No one will be there to give her a good morning kiss. To whom she will hug? To whom she will show her fake anger? Tears brimmed in her eyes once again and she tighten the hug which Manik noticed clearly.

"You ok honey? Is it paining a lot? Shall we go to the doctor?" Manik asked rubbing her back with concern. She wanted to tell him that her heart was paining not that wound. She was dieing inside it was just four days but those four days were like four decades to her. She wanted to tell him that she can't even live a second without him but she was loss of words moreover if she would tell all this to him he will instantly try to cancel his program which she didn't wanted.

"No it's not paining..!! As far as I am in your arms na dard nahi hota..!!" Nandini said lovingly. Manik smiled and kissed her hair. They kept talking to each other for sometime. Then Manik got up to get ready because he was getting late for his flight.

Manik's driver was dumping his bags in the car. Nandini and Nayonika were standing with Manik to see off him. Nandini had insisted to come with Manik to the airport but Manik stopped her strictly not to over stress herself. Manik and Nayonika were talking on the consequences of the meeting. But Nandini was not at all interested she was just admiring him. She wanted to stop him but she knew that it will be unfair with Manik's work. Now Manik was hugging Nayonika with every passing second time of his departure was coming near and nearer and Nandini's heart was beating fast. After hugging Nayonika and taking blessings from her he turned towards her. Nayonika left to give the couple some privacy.

"Ok Nandini bye..!!" Manik said lovingly tucking her hair behind her ear. Nandini crashed in his arms and he hugged her back. She was trying hard not to cry.

"You will Take your medicines on time..!! You will eat the food on time..!! And no masti..!!" He was now lovingly advising her. "And if you will need something na then tell Mama..!! She will get you..!!" Hearing his last words she wanted to scream that she just want him to be around her but she can't say all this at least not now. Now he was trying to broke the hug but Nandini didn't allowed him to do that.

"You will come back soon na?" Nandini again asked she wanted to reassure. To which he laughed.

"Of course I'll come back soon but I'll come back soon only if you will allow me to go?" Manik said lovingly after sometime Nandini broke the hug and kissed his cheeks.

"Stay safe..!!" Saying that Manik kissed her forehead. He tried turned to leave but he found himself unable to turn because Nandini was holding his coat's collars. He smiled and gestured her to let go of his collars. But Nandini gently pull his collars as if asking him to bent down he smilingly bent a little then Nandini kissed his forehead.Manik was all the time smiling on her loveliness. Manik softly pecked her lips for the last time and Nandini left his collars. Manik turned and sit in the car. Driver started the car and slowly the Car was moving away from Nandini. She felt like her heart will explode.Soon car disappeared out of her sight.

Manik kept watching her in the back mirror. She was standing there for him. He very well knew her emotions and he knew that too how much she was trying hard not to cry. He was a mature man and he knew how to control his emotions. He acted strong in front of her but in real his heart was aching. He felt his eyes becoming moist. He gently brushed his tears away. And tried to concentrate on the meeting which was going to held tomorrow. He wanted to wrap up everything as soon as possible and to come back to Nandini..!! His Nandini..!!

Chapter 22 B

Nandini didn't know for how long she kept standing there. She come back to her senses when Butler shook her shoulder. She look here and there and run towards their room. She almost fell on the bed and cried her heart out. Hiding her face in the pillow.

"Nandini where is your pillow?"

Manik's words echoed in her ears.She tilted her head to see if Manik was there too but no he wasn't there. She again started crying. And she kept crying like this until she drifted to sleep.

She woke up when she heard a knock on the door. It take some time for Nandini to recognize the surroundings. The room was all dark. That means she slept too much. She turned on the lights and opened the door. It was Nayonika. She saw her swollen eyes, dried tears she become worried.

"Nandu..!! What happened why are you crying beta?" Nayonika cupped her cheeks and made her sit on the bed. That was it for Nandini she hugged Nayonika and again started crying.

"Mama...!! Manik..!!" That's all she managed to say.

"Shhh..!! Bus beta..!! It's just four days..!! He will be back soon..!! Don't cry..!! Chalo I have come to call you for dinner..!!" Nayonika shushed her.

"No Mama..!! I am not hungry..!!" Nandini tried to refuse.

"Nandini..!! Manik had strictly warned me to take care of your health..!! Chalo get up not for me for Manik's sake eat something..!!" Nayonika told her lovingly to which Nandini nodded.

At dinner table in spite of Nayonika's zid she eat very little and again come to her room. The empty room was haunting her like anything in this world. She came in front of the mirror and started combing her hair. She was about to tie a braid of her hair.

"Don't you dare to tie your hair in my presence..!!"

Again his voice echoed in the room and Nandini instantly turned her head but he wasn't there again. Tears again brimmed in her eyes.

"Manik..! Please come back soon..!!" She said between her sobs. She didn't realized for how long she kept crying when she heard her phone buzzing. She with a bad heart picked up her phone and saw an international number flashing in the screen. She immediately picked up the call.

"Manik..!!" Before Manik could say anything Nandini said sobbingly.

"Haan Manik ki jaan..!!" She can't believe that she was listening to his melodious voice after so many hours.

"Manik..!! Main..!!" She felt herself loss of words and started crying instantly.

"Shhh..!! Nandini..!! No please don't cry..!! Please meri jaan..!!" Manik became worried. He was already very much upset and now Nandini was making all that much more difficult for him.

"Manik I am missing you a lot..!! Please come back soon..!!" That's all she could managed to say.

"Bus Nandini..!!" Manik feeling himself too much helpless he wanted to took her in his embrace. But he was far far away from his angel. "What to do..!!" Manik thought. Nandini was continuously sobbing when she heard Manik singing.

(Manik said and closed his eyes tears rolled down his cheeks)

(Manik again sang and both imagined each others faces)

(Nandini sang and closed her eyes to feel his presence Manik listened and smiled)

(Nandini sang and intensity of her tears increased. Manik become more restless. After singing Nandini choked and sobbed hard)

(Manik again started and the moments which he spend with Nandini flashed in his mind. Tears again trickled down his cheeks. Nandini knew he was also crying)

(Manik sang and tried to control his tears but coludn't)

(Manik ended up the song and again lay down on the bed. Nandini sat down on the terrace floor leaning with the wall)

"I love you Manik..!!" Nandini said between her sobs.

"I love you too Nandini..!!" Manik said lovingly. "Now sleep..!! Just imagine me beside you..!!"

Nandini got up from the floor and lay down on the bed. Manik continuously kept humming a lullaby and soon he heard Nandini's even breath she was asleep now. Manik blow a kiss on his phone and he also drifted to sleep.

Next three days were the worst three days of Nandini's life.She kept sitting on the bed whole day looking on the cell phone, waiting for Manik's call. She hardly ate anything. Her eyes were swollen due to constant crying and sleepless nights. She was sitting on the bed when her phone buzzed.

"Hello Nandini..!!" Manik was on the other side.

"Manik..!! How are you?" Nandini tried to make her voice cheerful.

"I am good..!! I called to tell you that I'll be with you after 10 hours..!!" Manik said lovingly. And Nandini's face lit up with joy.

"Really? Wow..!! I am waiting for you Manik..!!" Nandini exclaimed.

"Ok miss me for just for 10 hours..!! I'll be there soon..!" Manik said lovingly and hung up the call.

Nandini jumped from the bed and started making plans for Manik's welcome. She cooked a lot of things for Manik. Now there was only one hour left in his arrival. She wore a tea pink saree with silver earrings and get ready for Manik. She came to kitchen to check final preparations.

Manik was on his way back to home he was too much happy after four long days he was going to meet Nandini. He wanted to surprise her but how?. Suddenly a wicked idea came in his mind. He called Nayonika.

Nandini was about to place a glass bowl on the table when Nayonika came to her.

"Nandini? Beta I have a bad news..!!" Nayonika said in a serious tone.Making Nandini froze on her place.

"What bad news? Is Manik ok?" Nandini asked worriedly glass bowl was still in her hands.

"Yes he is ok but he is not coming today..!!" Nayonika said and the glass bowl fell off her hands, shattering in pieces.

"What? No..!! He himself told me that he is coming no..!!" She felt her breath hitched in her throat.

Chapter 22 C

Manik without giving horn parked his car in the parking of Malhotra Mansion and stood in the front door. He was smiling because of him Nayonika lied to Nandini. He wanted to surprise her. He wanted to see her reaction. He wanted her to come running in his arms.

"Nandini..!!" He shouted her name and waited for her to appear from somewhere.

Nandini felt so unreal she was continuously shaking her head in a no. When she heard Manik shouting her name. She didn't believed her ears that she really heard her Manik's voice.She run in the direction of the voice without caring the glass pieces on the floor she stepped on them in spite of her flat chappel those glass pieces pierced in her feet but she didn't care. She kept running like this blood started oozing out of her feet but who cares. She came out of the kitchen and saw Manik standing. Tears brimmed in her eyes. Manik stretched his arms gesturing her to come in his arms. Nandini again run towards him and almost fall in his arms. Manik held her close to him. She was continuously crying.

"I missed you so much Manik..!!" Nanini said between her sobs.

"I missed you too honey..!!" Manik said lovingly kissing her hair. Nandini wasn't letting go Manik so Manik kept standing like this waiting for her to cry her heart out. Slowly he felt her grip loosened on his blazer.

"Nandini..!!" Manik called her lovingly. But no response. Manik slowly broke the hug Nandini had her eyes closed. Manik become worried and patted her cheeks. But again no response she was fainted. Manik felt his breath stuck in his throat.

"Nandini open your eyes..!!" Manik shouted. Hearing Manik shouting like this

Nayonika came towards them. Manik lifted her in his arms and for the first time he saw her feet bleeding. He become more horrified. Asking Nayonika to call the doctor Manik run towards his room with Nandini in his arms.Manik carefully placed her on the bed. Nandini was murmuring his name even in that unconscious state.Manik noticed her face, swollen eyes, she wasn't the same Nandini to whom he left four days back she was now more weak. Nayonika came in the room now Manik was dressing her wound tears were flowing down his cheeks.

"Manik..!! Doctor is coming..!!" Nayonika tried to calm him.

"What she had done to herself?" Manik asked sadly.

"Manik she missed you a lot...!! In spite of my forcing she hadn't ate properly..! I am sorry beta..!! Main Nandini ka khayal nahi rakh pie..! " Nayonika was too much embarassed.

"It's ok Ma..!! Don't say sorry..!!" Manik said obediently. "Actually it's all my fault..! I should have taken her with me..!! From next time I'll take her with me..!! I'll not leave her alone again..!" Manik said at the same time doctor came. He checked Nandini.

"Mr.Malhotra it seems you don't know how to take care of your wife..!!" Doctor said in an angry tone and Manik lowered his head. "Her blood pressure is dangerously low..!! I'll give her the injection she will regain conscious in few hours. Till then take care of her and make sure she eat properly..!!" Doctor explained and injected her. She didn't respond on the injection and seeing this tears welled up in his eyes. He remembered how much she was afraid of injection. He slowly brushed his tears off. Doctor left giving prescription for Nandini and Nayonika too left asking Manik to take care of her.

Manik sat beside her and kept stroking her hair. He waited for her to gain conscious. After 1 hour Nandini opened her eyes and look towards Manik. Manik's face lit up seeing Nandini awake.

"Manik..!!" Nandini said in a weak tone.

"Just shh..!! Why Nandini? Why you didn't take care of yourself? Why don't you ever listen to me?" Manik said scolding her but tears were flowing down his cheeks.

"Manik..!! I am sorry please don't cry..!!" Saying that Nandini held her ears she was really very sorry. Manik without wasting time hugged her tightly. Nandini felt herself complete in his arms. After sometime they broke the hug.

"Manik..!!" Nandini said lovingly looking deep in his eyes.

"Hmm..!!" Manik said playing with her hair.

"Kiss me?" Nandini said lovingly and Manik's eyes popped out in surprise on this boldness. He very well knew her desires for him but she never ever asked herself for a kiss. This was a pleasant surprise for him.

"It will be my pleasure..!!" Manik said lovingly and he slowly rubbed her lips with his thumb. He gently rubbed her lipstick and Nandini closed her eyes. Manik leaned closer and carefully fused his lips with hers. Nandini's hands went in his hair she pull him more towards him and deepen the kiss more and more. Manik wanted to broke the kiss but Nandini didn't let him do that. She without broking the kiss made him lay down on the bed with her and came on top of him. Manik held her close and let her do what she wanted to. Nandini broke the kiss and started kissing him all over his face. She wanted to tell him that how much she missed him. Manik didn't wanted to stress her but it was becoming very much difficult for him to control his desires. He gently unpinned her pallu and started kissing her neck and shoulder. He carefully turned her and came on top of her. He kissed her forehead and she closed her eyes. Manik was about to kiss her again then suddenly Nandini started coughing. Manik become worried and he sit straight. Nandini kept coughing and Manik made her sit straight.

"Nandini..!! Are you ok?" Manik said worriedly and hugged her. He gently kept rubbing her back slowly she went to normal. But she was breathing heavily. Nandini broke the hug and leaned closer again to start where they stopped but Manik kept his palm on her lips.

"No Nandini..!! Not now..!! Don't do this..!! First you have to get better..!!" Manik whispered in her ear and she nodded her head. And hugged him. "Nandini you sit here I'll get food for you..!!" Manik said lovingly and made her sit with the bed board.He himself went and bring food for her. Manik made her feed the dinner.

"Manik bus..!! I am full..!!" Nandini said pushing the food plate away. Manik frowned at her.

"Nandini..!! You hardly ate half of the rice..!! It's not good..!!"Manik said worriedly.

"I am not hungry..!! I just want you to be with me..!!" Nandini said looking in his eyes.

"I am with you Nandini..!! Acha ok..!! Don't eat..!!" Manik said and sighed. He quietly started to eat the remaining food when Nandini held his hand Manik gave her a questioning look. Nandini took the plate from his hand and feed him. Soon the dinner was finished Manik went to keep the plate in the kitchen and immediately come back.

Manik lay down on the bed with Nandini in his arms. Nandini had her head on his chest and she was playing with his shirt button. Both of them were quiet as the words were not needed to express their feelings. Manik wanted Nandini to sleep but she was awake she didn't blinked her eyes even for a second.

"Nandini I am here na..!! Tou sleep..!! Be my good girl..!!" Manik said lovingly stroking her hair.

"But I don't want to sleep..!!" Nandini said stubbornly and snuggled herself more in his embrace.

"Ohhh Nandini..!! I have got something for you..!!" Manik said suddenly and got from the bed. Nandini look at him confusingly. After sometime Manik came with a red velvet box and gave it to Nandini.

"What is this Manik?" Nandini asked Manik.

"Open it..!!" Manik said smilingly. Nandini gave Manik a confused look and opened the box. Her eyes widened with joy seeing the thing inside it. It was a silver bracelet. The most beautiful thing of that bracelet was it had M and N pendant with a heart in between. Manik was amusing with her excitement.

"It's beautiful Manik..!!" Nandini exclaimed. She gestured Manik to made her wear it Manik happily made her wear it and kissed her wrist. "Thank you Manik..!!" Nandini said and hugged him again tightly.

"No need..!! Bus tum khush raho..!!" Manik said hugging her back."Acha bus now sleep..!!" Manik said and lay down on the bed with Nandini. Manik kept stroking her hair and soon she was fast asleep. Manik noticed her asleep he lovingly kissed her hair. And he also drifted to sleep.

Sorry..!! Sorry..!! Sorry..!! I am very very late :( But guys what to do yesterday I had a practical exam :( But agay say paka will update regularly. Ok coming towards the update many important incidents. Staying away from your loved one is a hell difficult task especially when you know that they will never come back. It hurts..!! I know the pain..!! But MaNan are together now..! This song is from the movie "bahghbaan" and the song is "Main Yahan Tu Wahan" it's my favorite number. Amitabh sir has nailed it :) I hope you all know this song those who haven't listen to it please listen it and watch the movie it's beautiful..!!
