Manik and nandini were walking under the lights on a road inside the campus which lead to different blocks.they were walking silently stealing glances of each other evry now nd then,finally manik decided to break the silence

Manik: kaisi ho tum

Nandini: yeah fine...tum

Manik: perfect...(taking a pause,realizing that they had nothing to talk) nice college

Nandini: haan,its karnataka's biggest campus

Manik: ( looking at her and smilingly )hmmm saree nd all ahh

Nandini: ( she too repliesd smilingly )voh actually ...har saal yahi dress code hota hain that's y.

Manik: yaa...u r luking beautiful

Nandini: hmmm thank u

Manik: so young scientist bann ne ja rahi ho,big achievement haa

Nandini: toh tumne principal ki baat suni

Manik: yaah.par voh tum thi yeh nahi pata tha

Nandini: hmmm,its nothing like that sir he loves me a lot that's y ...aur achieve toh karna hi tha ,I wanted to show the world that no body can break nandini murty she is a strong girl

Manik: gussa ho mujse abhi bhi?

Nandini: for wat ? oh yaa for that...no manik not all,infact I'm thank ful to you

Manik(with a blank expression): thank ful kyun?

Nandini:thank ful issliye,because u taught me hw the world is,u taught me not to trust everyone ,u taught me to live with a broken heart and aaj if I'm standing here its because of u only,agr voh sab nahi hua hota toh shayaad mein aaj apna scientist bane ka sapna pura nahi kar paati,nd afterll tum hi thein to whom I wanted to shw that nandini is storng and any manik malhotra cannot break her,so here I'm standing infront of you

Manik (feeling guilty): hmm I knw u r strong,voh I knw sorry is not...

Nandini: its ok manik'no need of apologises ,it doesn't matter,ab koi farq nahi padta

Manik: so u hav moved on

Nandini: absolutely!!

Manik: voh voh ladka?i mean

Nandini: kaunsa ladka

Manik: voh jisne tumhe hug kiya ,nd said he loves u

Nandini: voh,abhimanyu hai,toda pagal ,but mera...(she understood wat he was he trying to ask ,and she intended to correct but before she cud complete )

Manik: ya I understand

Nandini: u nd alya?? Hw r u both doing

Manik: me?? Ya fine..and alya she is happy with... I mn she is very happy

Nandini: hmmm

Manik: rishab kaisa hain?his attacks

Nandini: he's fine,actually he has almost cured

Manik: good...our incomplete project

Nandini: yah

Manik: you seem to be very happy with ur life

Nandini: ys becoz I'm (she replied with a big big but fake smile)

(Manik's pov

She s saying shes happy,par yeh aankhein toh kuch aur keh rahi hain ,voh khushi kahan ,voh smile kahaan hain jo isse duniya ki sabse khubsurat ladki banati thi...par she has moved on in her life,voh ladka agar nandini khush hain ,toh I think I also shud move on ,shayaad hum ek dusre keliya bane hi nahi thein...if I stay here anymore I will loose myself)

A boy comes and interrupts his thoughts

Boy: sir aapko cabir sir bula rahe hain performance ka time ho gaya hain

Manik: ya I'm coming (turning towards nandini)So bye ..

Nandini: don't worry performance ke baad milenge

Manik: nahi hum thode busy hain bhahut saare shows hain pending mein,so after this performance hum jaldi nikal jayenge ,so this might b our last meeting

Nandini: may b

Manik: ( he sees fireflies glowing around them) hey luk fireflies , u like them na

Nandini: I luved them ...but not any more,

Manik: y

Nandini: becs beacause they lie

Manik: wat??

Nandini: tum nahi samaj paoge manik..so tell tumhare stars kaise hain

Manik: I dnt like them anymore...

Nandini: wat?they were ur favourite na then

Manik: ya they were...I lost them 5 yr...i mn kuch nahi.i think its getting late,tum nahi aaogi performance dekhne

Nandini : ya surre ,5mints tum chalo

(He walks away but turns)

Manik : nandini voh voh apne old enemy ko wish nahi karogi

Nandini:old enemy , I think monster hi theek hain...ya all the best manik

(Manik reaches the green room)

Cabir: manik hum ready hain ..all set ...hum jaa rahe hain tu yahin rehna back stage par ,we need u atleast to b there

Manik: cabirr.i I want to perform

All in unison: wat

Manik: ys I want to perform ,are u all ok with it

Mukti: are u all ok ? wat the bloody hell qstn is this?? We were dying for this

Dhruv : haan buddy lets rock

Cabir: in manik's ears sab teek ho jayega buddy.

Manik: sab teek hain cabir ,now ur manik is back

Cabir: I knew it , teri problem ki solution usi ke paas hain ,tune usse baat ki naa, I knew it maan,ab tum dono phirse

Manik: hum dono nahi sirf main.. I hav decided to move on ..she is happy with her life ,voh mujhe bhool chuki hain and mein bhi yeh chahta tha

Cabir: wat ..wat the hell ab kya hua

Manik: relax cabir I'm fine dekh I'm happy

Alya: come on guys lets move...

Cabir: ( in mind) not its not okk,aur nahi manik he calls someone

(Nandini in the garden talks to herself: ys he has moved on ,he is happy...par mein...shayaad mein hi galat thi...

She calls ams :ams yes I'm ready for it)

After 5 mints

Fab5 were ready with their instrumentsmanik's eyes were searching for her's...and finaly she entered the audi,gave him a smile,he too did the same

Lights went off and spot light was on manik,he started

Paas aaye dooriyan fer bhi kam naa hui

Ek adhuri si hamari kahani rahi( rest off the lights were on,cabir on drums ,mukti and druv on guitar,alya on keyboard) f

(Manik was singing looking at nandini and nandini only)

She was feeling uncomfortable with his gaze,but lyrics of the song made her emotional ,remembering their ,they both knew this song depicted wat their life is now

(Fab5 were amazed with performance ,only cabir knew actually he was pouring his heart out...suddenly manik increased his pitch and started playing high notes on guitar nd none of the fab 5 member cud match up to him and they gave up,now only manik was performing)

Nandini was on the verge of crying ,she cudnt hod back anymore and clutched her pendent tightly,this was seen by manik,for a minute he was shocked it was a STAR shaped pendent

( she ran awy from the audi andmanik too kneeled down crying infront of the audience ..fab5 rushed to him ,even they were broken to see him lyk this)

Nandini reached near the green rooms,she sat there in a corner and started crying

(On the other side)

Boy: iss room mein electricity problem hain ,I think hume fab 5 ke luggage uss room mein rakhne chahiye

Boy : yah I think its better ,baaki sab ka teek hain par hum manik ka luggage kaise uttaye,varna phirse problem ho jayegi

Boy: wat to do ??

(Nandini heard their conversation,hearing manik's name she wiped her tears and went there)

Nandini: wat happened ?

Boy: nandini,voh kya hain ki hume tuumhare frnds ke luggage shift karne hain,par manik ka luggage...kaise ??he doesn't let anyone touch his bag...

Nandini: don't worry its ok mein rakh lungi

Boy: no, nandini.its risky

Nandini: its ok saurav ,I ll manange afterall he's my ...

Nandini enters the green room,it was dark due to some loose contact though the switches were on ,she saw something glowing in the corner,and walked towards it.she touched it.it was from a bag which was slightly open.she hurriedly opened the bag and wat she saw made her feel like 1000volts current flowing through her body it was a jar full of fire flies

Nandini: (crying ) ma manik...

then suddenly lights went on she started wiping her tears nd keeping the jar aside she checked the bag she took out everything inside the bag one by one her hear broke into pieces each time she took something

she took out shirt which she wore when she was stuck inside his house shorts and tracks

star lamp that she gifted on Diwali,

one earing of her's ,

5 dairies written with sorry nandini in each page from the musicana night till last night,

then her eyes fell on his mobile phone on the table

she checked it which gave her another heart ache,screensaver wallpaper,gallery full of her pics ,even it contained pics she uploaded in different social networking sites wen they were enemies...only video of them performing together on musicana opening night

she sits back leaning to the wall resting her head on knees and cries

nandini:yeh kyaa hain manik,kyun kyun kiya tumne

then cabir enters the room and sees nandini crying he comes near her and sits

cabir: nandini,

she doesn't respond

cabir shakes her nandini uthoo mein hoon cabir

she raises her head up,and sees its cabir she grabs his collar and shouts

nandini: kyun cabir kyun ? usne yeh sab..loosens her hold on cabir's collar and breaks down infront of him

cabir (tries to console) :ok nandini shant ho jao ,stop crying ,pls stop sab teek hojayega...

Now pls stop crying and listen to me carefully
