M not asking them to go too deep about their culture and make Manik do their things.

What m saying is just for one scene.Its nothing related to Manik's personality. Just one scene m talking about.
The efforts he'll put ...thats it.
I feel there is nothing wrong is putting on clothes of different culture when your surroundings are similar to that.
Amms won't judge him on his clothes for sure.But as being a teenager its not impossible if Manik is doing such things.
Homosexuality thing and my opinion are totally different. I am not asking for some serious issues just lighter moments.

Coochie my point being why should Amms make that as one of the basis for Manik's challenge? It makes the whole disapproval thing very superficial and makes Amms 'disapproval bound by clothes and stuff. I want the show to keep Manik intact and win Amms ka approval inspite of being everything Amms disapproves in a guy, just because Manik's heart is in the right place, it kind of sends the message not to judge a book by its cover. Saas bahu serials have vamps dressed in sleeveless and good bahus in saris looking sanskaari, I rather have Manik remain Manik and Amms liking him for the person he is.

And TBH, I am a South Indian, our boys wear veshti and mundu only for weddings, never in a daily circumstance unlike our girls, it seems just way odd to have Manik dressed in a veshti or a mundu when we dont even see it happen in our environment.

You probably want a scene similar to SRK's one from Ra 1 where Bebo helps him dress up., for fun , laugh and stuff, I get ya, Manik might try to be on his best behaviour around Amms but I trust his impulsive state that he will eventually give up and be himself. Amms is no hitler, she just saw different circumstances and has few different perceptions. TK truth will break the ice and come what may Nandu will stand by him if at all Amms goes all dramatic.

About the lungi...I agree with Adhi that showing it as a challenge to win approval of aAms is not something this show is made up of...and I don't think amms is that type either...given that her granddaughter is in jeans and leggings all the time...including the concert...

But I wouldn't mind a lungi scene ...when manik s clothes are drenched or something and he needs something for the night and nandu helping him with it...cute
