Chapter 26

Scene 1 ----------(KY2 CLUB, inside girls washroom)


Nandini had rushed to the washroom and had closed the door pinning herself to the door.. Her eyes were moist and throat was paining.. She was choked.. She immediately closed her eyes and opened her mouth a little to gasp some air.. After taking a few much needed breaths she opened her eyes and found that girls were staring at her.. She immediately composed herself and slowly walked to the mirror.. Girls again got busy doing their touch up, makeup, hair do etc etc..

Nandini looked at herself in the mirror while taking uneven breaths. She thought " manik and .. and aaliya .. They are close friends.. Just like.. Just like me and maddie.. And they were just dancing.. Its.. It's no big deal..".. She was trying to calm herself..

Suddenly a girl to her gang "hey Manik is looking so HOT na.. And u saw his GIRLFRIEND AALIYA.. When they were getting COSY.. I was so JEALOUS..." while applying her lipstick.

Her friends in unison " me too.. So JEALOUS.. So JEALOUS" making a sad face.. Nandini who was trying to console herself was now fuming like anything being JEALOUS..

Nandini thought " its ME who LOVE HIM.. I M NOT JEALOUS.. Then how could all these girls be jealous.."

Girl " I wish ye lipstick nhi Manik k lips hote.." bringing the lipstick near her lips.. Nandini gritted her teeth in anger and walked towards the door hitting the girl.. And her lipstick spread on her cheek. Girls laughed.. The girl fumed and shouted at Nandini "what the hell.. don't u have eyes.. ?"


Nandini stopped there only and gritting her teeth saying " I think tumhara dhyan kahi aur h.. U are lost in SOMEONE SPECIAL'S thoughts." . And she left leaving the girl's mouth open..

The girl freaked " CRAZY GIRL"


Scene 2---*--- ( outside the washroom)---*---

Nandini had walked out of the washroom. She was restless.. She to herself " AM I JEALOUS? WHY they were so close ? He told me that they broke up so WHY ...". And once again her eyes became moist.

Manik was walking to and fro outside the ladies room.. He looked at his watch and said "WHY she was so restless. I hope she is fine ".. Nandini was taking small steps lost in her own world. Manik's eyes fell on her and he rushed to her worriedly uttering " Nandiniii !!"

Nandini who was surprised to see him there looked at him with her moist eyes but immediately looked away to hide her face.. Manik was dumbstruck for a moment.. Nandini blinked her eyes many a times not to let Manik see her moist eyes and tried to look normal.

Manik worriedly " Nandini. What happened?. U okay?.. Look at me.."

Nandini gulped her saliva and composing herself she uttered " yaa.. M.. fine ".

Manik tried to look into her eyes but she was stealing her looks.. Manik ordered " look at me ". Nandini still looking down " I.. I. Got.. Got to go." and she fumbled

Manik's heart was beating fast seeing her like that.. He was a bit shocked.. He moved closer and asked worriedly in a soft voice " WHY r u upset..? And... WHY r u crying.. Kisi ne kuch kaha? Tell me. Haan?"

Nandini irked listening the word "crying" from his mouth. She angrily looked at him and freaked " I AM NOT CRYING Mr. Manik Malhotra and WHY do u think I will answer all ur WHYs ".

She was fuming.. Manik was shocked , confused and speechless.. And before he could say anything she turned and rushed towards the stairs.. Manik was dumbstruck.. He worriedly said to himself " WHY is she so hurt?" And was about to rush after her just then Cabir came and said " dude... Wait . Wait wait.. I need to tell u SOMETHING IMPORTANT... And "

Manik who was in a hurry cut him in middle and tensely said " Cabir.. Listen.. I talk to u later.. There is something MORE IMPORTANT ". And he rushed.. Manik had climbed a few stairs just then Cabir said " I know what is so IMPORTANT.."

Manik stopped and turned. Cabir " and I came to tell to that JEALOUS GIRLS ARE DANGEROUS.. Play safe "

Manik being confused " JEALOUS!!" He thought for a moment and annoyingly said " Cabir .. It was ME who was JEALOUS not NANDINI.."

Cabir burst into laughter listening that and Manik realised what he had said.. Manik opened his mouth to give an excuse but Cabir who was laughing like crazy gestured him not to say anything. Manik " u always talk nonsense cabir.."

Cabir stopped laughing and asked " Really...? " raising his eyebrows.. Manik thought for a moment " cabir k hints kbhi galat nhi hote. Never.."

Manik uttered " not everytime.. ". Cabir patted his own shoulder.. Manik being confused " so u mean.. she is jealous.. But.. Wo jealous hogi Kyu..? WHY..?

Cabir " I am just a cupid.. Teri love story ka writer nhi.. Go behind her and get ur answers.. By the way.. She has gone !! .."

Manik freaked " damn.. " and rushed..

Cabir " CRAZY LOVE"


Scene 3 -------------------(stairs, first floor)--------------------------------------------


Nandini was climbing the stairs slowly still lost in her thoughts.. She was about to climb the last stair when she realised that she had reached to a weird place.. It was a big hall.. The atmosphere was different.. A few drunk girls and guys were lying on the couch half unconscious.. A few couples were getting cosy in the dark corners.. A few guys were playing cards..

Nandini saw the scenario and took a step in the backward direction without realizing that she was standing on stairs.. And she lost control and was about to fall just then she felt strong hands on her shoulders.. It was a familiar touch.. It was Manik who was standing two stairs down.. Manik climbed those two stairs still holding her in his arms. Nandini was awestruck and surprised seeing him. She had not expected him to follow her like this..

Manik pulled Nandini towards himself.. They were close.. Very close.. Nandini was dumbstruck.. Manik had his one hand on her waist and with other he was holding her arm.. He was looking into her eyes as if her eyes were going to tell him what she feels for him.. As if her eyes are going to answer all his questions..

Nandini to herself " don't look into his eyes.. They can steal ur heart again..." Nandini jerked him away. Manik irked and asked " WHY r u ignoring me Nandini? "

Nandini didn't reply and took a step towards the hall.. Manik held her hand and again pulled her towards himself . Nandini screamed " WHY r u following me?"

Suddenly a random guy asked " May I help u miss.. Is there any problem..?" staring at Manik.. Nandini was surprised. Before she could utter a word the guy held Manik's hand and tried to free Nandini from his grip but he couldn't as Manik had tightened his grip more on her hand. Manik was fuming and giving him angry looks.. Just then Nandini screamed at the guy " its our personal matter.. stay away.." Everyone was looking at them. The guy was embarrassed. He left..

Manik pulled her closer and asked " now would u tell me WHY..?" . But she again pushed him and rushed towards the hall. Manik irked and rushed shouting her name " Nandini.. Nandini ."

Fully unconscious drunk people were gaining consciousness.

Nandini stopped there, turned and shouted "dare u come after me" while gritting her teeth and pointing her finger at him. Manik stopped , smirked and said " oh really..!! Or else?"

Nandini in frustration " or else.. Or else ." She looked at her clutch and threw it on Manik.. The clutch was about to hit his face but Manik had caught the clutch in the nick of time saving himself from her MASTER SHOT.. This left his mouth open.. The half conscious people were now fully awake with their eyes wide opened.

Manik " Nandini everyone is watching..
Nandini fumed " so what.. Let them see.. I don't care."

Manik "WHY u creating a scene?"
Nandini freaked " scene!! Main! Tum sbke samne cosy hoke k dance Kr rhe the wo scene nhi tha?" She was so mad at him that she didn't realise what she said. She was taking heavy breaths.

Manik was confused . He thought for a while and said to himself " dance.. Main to aaliya k sath.. but.. Nandini ko kya problem.. " Suddenly he recalled Cabir's words and his eyes got brightened with an unknown HOPE and a little smile crept on his face.
He unknowingly uttered "are u.. Are u jealous?" while smiling and taking a step forward . Nandini was shocked listening the word "jealous" from his mouth.. She was caught.. She became nervous and took a vase from a nearby table.. Manik's eyes got widened seeing that.. Manik " no no.. Nandini.. Listen.. U can take those flowers from the vase but vase.. No. No. Nandini.. Trust me it's a bad idea.. "

Nandini " oh really.. Aaoge..? Aaoge mere peeche..?" while taking heavy breaths.

Manik " YES..!!"

Nandini again gritted her teeth and uplift the vase again just then Manik being horrified " I mean no. No.. Nobody on earth can dare... To... Okay..fine.. Go.. Jaha marzi jana h jao.. "

Nandini being surprised and with an angry face "jaha marzi jaun?" while waving the vase in her hand.

Manik's eyes got widened and he said " okay fine..I'll .. I will go.." gesturing her to put the vase down. Manik took a few steps backward and Nandini placed the vase on the table.. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath just then Manik rushed to her.. And in no time he picked her up placing her stomach on his shoulder.

Nandini was shocked .. She screamed" Manikkk.. Leave me.." and people started laughing at them.. Soon everyone was giggling, hooting, shouting and clapping.

Nandini was embarrassed. She uttered " put me down..".

Manik announced loudly " Is it the first time I am picking u up? No naaa. It's just that the way is different" leaving her annoyed.
A girl stood up, whistled and said " CRAZY GUY" . Everyone was laughing.. Nandini was embarrassed.. Manik was smiling.. Nandini tried getting down by pushing him with her hands saying " I said leave me.."

Manik tossed her on his shoulder ignoring her efforts and walked towards the next floor.. Everyone clapped and a girl shouted " CRAZY LOVERS..".. Manik and Nandini were stunned listening that.. Manik smiled and Nandini hide her face with her hand.

Chapter 26 (continued )
Scene 4--*---*--- Terrace ------ --------

Manik had reached to the terrace carrying Nandini.. It was dark as it was new moon day but some bulbs were glowing . Manik closed the door and latched it..

Then he placed her down.. Nandini was annoyed and nervous too.. Manik was getting more restless with every single passing second to get the answers to his questions.. Both were breathing heavily and were looking into each other's eyes..

Manik took a step towards her and she took a step backward.. But before she could escape from his reach Manik grabbed her waist and pulled her closer.. She banged to his chest.. Their faces were closed.. So were their lips. Nandini was dumbstruck.. She couldn't utter a word . She thought " Today there is something different in his eyes.. What could it be..?" . WHY he is behaving crazy..?

Manik was lost in her eyes.. Nandini thought " no. don't look into his eyes.. They could be lying. U love him.. But what if he still loves..." And that thought again made her heart heavy and tears were about to well up in her eyes but she had lowered her eyelids .

Manik " WHY r u not looking at me? Nandini pressed her lips and stayed quiet.. Manik " WHY r u not talking to me?"

Nandini in a trembling voice " let me go.." trying to push him away.. Her voice was breaking down.. But Manik firmly said " NO.. I won't.. Not untill I get answers for my WHYs.." He took a pause and get more close to her and said in a low voice " WHY are u annoyed.. WHY r u so upset.. WHY r u jerking me like this and WHY are avoiding me. Why r u not talking to me.. "

Nandini's heart was racing fast.. Her annoyance and anger was melting away with his touch, his vicinity. She gulped her saliva and uttered " fine.. I am not looking at u, avoiding u, jerking u away Bcz I don't want to see ur face.." still looking down..

Manik leaned closer rubbed his nose against her hair and whispered "really".

Nandini closed her eyes. Manik looked at her face which was becoming red and red due to his vicinity continued " m not convinced" pulling her closer.. This made Nandini look at him.. Their eyes met.. And Manik was dumbstruck and shocked to see her red eyes and red nose. He couldn't see her like that.. He felt as if his heart had stopped beating.. He gulped his saliva and while looking into her eyes said " What if I know the answers to all my WHYs.. ".

And Nandini's heart drop with that.. She thought "does he knows it all?". She shivered like anything.. Manik was feeling her shivers.. He whispered " What if I know the biggest secret of ur life.." .

Nandini uttered " Manik.. Please stop.." being nervous.. and closed her eyes.. Manik was breathing heavily . She was feeling his warm breath on her face.. Manik again whispered in her ear " don't u want to know the biggest secret of my life?" This made Nandini open her eyes.. She looked at him with her moist red eyes.

Manik was intensely gazing in her eyes. He uttered " I.. (pause).. I .. Love.. (pause).. " . He gulped his saliva and Nandini held her breath.. Manik opened his mouth to say the most important word just then Nandini put her hand on his lips..

Before Manik could understand she removed her hand from his lips and encircled her hands around his neck and hide her face in his neck clinging to him.

Manik was dumbstruck for a moment.. He didn't know what to do.. He asked himself if it was his FIRST LOVE.. ? No.. Then WHY it was giving him the feeling of first love.. Nandini cling to him more and he came out of his trance.. He smiled and immediately hugged her back pulling her up.. Nandini's feet were not on the floor.. Manik was twirling Nandini. Both had their eyes closed.. Both were lost in each other..

After some time they opened their eyes and found that the place had changed all of a sudden.. There were artificial small tress decorated with colorful lights.. Colorful light lamps were hanging on the walls.. There was a colorful dome over their heads . Manik and Nandini were surprised.. This wasn't the first time Manik had come to the terrace.. He was aware of the set up. But today it was different due to the special occasion..

Manik gently placed Nandini down and they found that they were standing right in the middle of a colorful floor.. There was a music system at one corner of dome.. Manik looked at Nandini who was smiling being mesmerized seeing the beautiful decor.. Manik was just adoring her beauty.. She was looking extremely beautiful in that bluish green glittering halter neck dress.. Nandini's eyes met with manik's. She felt his intense gaze and her endless smile was replaced with a little smile.. She was shy.. She was blushing hard.. Manik who was just a two steps away from her took a step forward.. Nandini's heartbeats were again raised..

Nandini took a step back but she collided with a table that was behind her.

Nandini " Manik.. Please.. Let me go..". Manik leaned closer, snugged his head into her hair and whispered in her ear " enough of this hide and seek..." Nandini had closed her eyes and clenched her fist.

Manik leaned back and said "enough of this pulling and pushing.." . Nandini opened her eyes..His eyes were passionate and so was his feelings at that moment.. He was eyeing her coral lips . Nandini could feel the passion the craze he had in his eyes.. He brought his lips closer to her.. Nandini was freezed and breathing heavily...

Manik was about to place his lips on her just then she turned her face away and her hand fell on the start button of the music system that was placed on the table.

Manik held her chin and made her look at him and while looking into her eyes he said " don't spoil this beautiful moment NANDINI"

And a soft music played...

Nandini being nervous turned and she had taken a few steps just then manik held her hand...


"Hey Baby, at last night I had a DREAM.. Now I really thought of you.. .. Yeaahhh "

Manik held her waist and pulled her closer and she banged in his chest..

"Yeah, it's a lonely night. In New York's heart."

Manik uplift her hand and entangled his fingers in her still holding her waist and nodded his head gesturing her that he would not let her go..

"You don't hold my hand love . Or don't tear apart . It hurts me more. Than words can say..."

He rubbed his hand against her arm to her shoulder..

"It's a CRAZY LOVE .. In a long, long way "

And with that he passionately twirled her to face her back.. Her back banged in his hard chest.

"something I haven't told you, girl... I think you're my soul, my world, my world."

He pulled her closed and KISSED her bare shoulder. She tightly closed her eyes and pressed her lips..

"I'm just a dreamer, Baby.Dreaming of you,.Day and Night"

Manik rubbed his hands from her shoulders to her hands..

" Day and Night."
And while clenching her arms in his he wrapped her waist And hugged her from behind


" I'm just a dreamer, Baby.I'm just a dreamer, Baby. You're my day ..And you're my life. Yeah, you're my life, yeah"

And they closed their eyes dancing taking one step right one left. Manik's cheek was touching her. He opened his eyes and KISSED her cheek.. Nandini too opened her eyes. She was shy. Manik made her twirl and face him.. He pulled her closer. His both hands were in her waist. And her both hands were on his shoulders. They were dancing taking one step right and one left .

"It's a SPECIAL THING BETWEEN ME AND YOU. Can I TRUST you, Baby? See what LOVE will do"

Manik moved his head and KISSED her hand that was on his shoulder. She blushed

"If you REALLY LOVE me,You will UNDERSTAND. LOVE is like a River And I will be you man".

he pulled her closer and joined his forehead with her . They closed their eyes and were still dancing.

"Something, my Baby, is on my mind. I know REAL LOVE is HARD TO FIND."

He moved his head back and KISSED her forehead

" I'm just a dreamer, Baby. Dreaming of you, Day and night. Yeah, day and night. I'm just a dreamer, Baby. You're my day, And you're my life, yeah... Yeah...Baby..."
"Yeah...yeah..."

he left her waist and took her hand in his and he twirled her.. Soon she was twirling fast .they were looking into each others eyes..

"I'm just a dreamer, Baby.Dreaming of you, Day and night.Yeah, day and night. I'm just a dreamer, yeah, Baby.You're my day, And you're my life. Yeah, you're my life, yeah."
Manik stopped twirling her and pulled her .she banged to his chest.. She was smiling a little. So was Manik.. He touched her lips with his thumb.. Her smile grew a little wider.. Manik leaned closer.. Her lips were trembling.. So were his.. Their nose rubbed. Manik gulped his saliva and finally he placed his lips on her.. And they KISSED.



"Dreamer, Baby.Dreaming of you, Day and night. Yeah, day and night. I'm just a dreamer, oh, Baby. You're my day, And I'm your my life. You're my life, yeah."


The kiss was smooth and soft.. Manik cupped her face and she clenched his blazer with her trembling hands.. He deepen the KISS and she responded with equal favour with her quivering lips.

"I'm just a dreamer,Day and night, yeah. Oh, Baby, can't you see? You're my day, I'm your life,Baby, I'm your life, yeah"
