Hello again. I am back for a bit but I'm sure I wasn't missed much anyways.
Getting to the topic:
Since #ItsNotUsItsU was trending yesterday, I wanted to see what it was all about being the curious cat that I am. I watched the episode and I am DISGUSTED. Since I wasn't sure what was going on exactly, I did a bit of research just to make sure it wasn't as stupid as it all looked onscreen. IT WAS.😊
Okay so, Mukti is the victim in this track. Fine. I got it. Wasn't this the same girl who casually sleeps around with guys according to her convenience and drove a guy to attempt suicide by exploiting him? (Correct me if I'm wrong because I haven't seen this show as a whole). That fact right there weakens the entire track just by the thought of it even before they played it out. So, basically love track didn't work to grab Charlie Chauhan some attention so they went with victim-card and pity party. It also doesn't help how unbearable Charlie Chauhan is (on and off-screen) as it is. (Just my personal opinion here).
But wait, out of the blue, they made this into a clothing issue. Not only that but they made Nandini and Navya wear short skirt and expose skin to prove WHAT exactly? Because, whatever they tried to prove did not come across. If they were trying to show that whether you wear a saree or short skirt, you get harassed, that is not what it looked like because Nandini and Navya wearing short clothing served no purpose other than that over the top HAWT moment for fans who care about nothing but HAWT moments. It looked like a bunch of BORED actors standing in line waiting to say that lame tagline #ItsNotUsItsU. And can I just say, when they said that tagline together and they showed that immediate close-up of MANIC's expressions, I laughed so hard. The cheesiness mixed with the lameness was actually worth a laughing throughout the episode. If getting traditional girls to dress HAWT and say a few cheesy lines with Sunny Leone being the spokesperson 'supporting' the cause (promoting Shitsvilla) could solve issues or help issues, boy oh boy we would be living in a better world.
Also, in that Pyaar Ka Balidaan track, didn't MANIC say some utter shit like when a girls says no, it means yes. When you connect it, it defeats all purpose. It is just a mess. Even Balika Vadhu is better at giving social messages and that show is regressive on all parameters. Says something. Well done MTV.
What else was new? Nandini crying because that is what she does hamesha. I also see that they had the Cinderella movie hangover. That uber lame boot scene with both actors being downright awful. The one thing I mentioned about this show previously is no matter what I felt about the storyline, the leads had chemistry. Here, one was hamming and overacting and the other one was so zoned out. That scene was awkward which is an understatement. Parth can't dance (in general not just today) and his hair was __no comments__fill in the blank_.😳
I know Vikas through mutual friends. It is a known fact that this track was put in by Vikas's team to satisfy Charlie Chauhan's ego because she isn't exactly as appreciated by the fans as she would like. Love track nahi chala toh victim hi sahi. Coming to this Vikas loser. He is a babysitter for egoistic irritants like Charlie, Parth. Lord knows what he asks for in return (give and take.Remember?). If any of you work in close circles of media, you'd know that Vikas has an EXTREMELY affectionate side for Parth. (It's probably visible by now but this was since the beginning). Vikas satisfies such egoistic souls. Parth being what he is does not care. Shows in his bipolar acting swings. Today was a perfect example of WHAT comes out of all this.
