@Betsy - But why are you compering. Manik scolding a guy who passed a comment on Alya before the storeroom sequence. He doesn't like anyone talking shit about his friends that includes Mukti or his love Nandini. He did that for Navya too during the time people were passing comments on her. He is that guy who will do such things for people he is connected with and also would stand up for a girl that is being harassed. i am not sure why you are trying to compere, it's his noble character trait. Mukti is his friend for years , who is like a sister. A guy can be protective about his friend and lover equally and can thrash people who harass them. It's normal. Difference will be when he goes bonker on Pandit and realizes that he lost control with it for Nandini.
We might not like Mukti but given the circumstances she is in, her every friend will stand for her. Manik is doing something that everyone expects him too or he won't be loved. Mukti is part of his family and he will fight for them. But for Nandini he can go overboard and thats for Pandit thing.
