CHAPTER 36
NEXT MORNING
Manik Malhotra aka sleepyhead woke up at 6:30 am in the morning and this shocked his room mate Cabir who has known his for his entire life. Cabir also opened his eyes when he heard the alarm tone and he rubbed his eyes to check whether it is real or not. He saw that Manik woke up and entered the washroom. He checked the time, it was 6:30 am. He sat on his bed and after 15 minutes Manik came out all ready in his uniform. He smiled at Cabir and said," Good morning Cabir." Cabir said," What's wrong with you? Itna jaldi uth gaya and you look fresh?" Manik smiled and wearing the school jacket he said," I will see you at school. Bye." Cabir said," Aree ruk. Where are you going?" Manik said," Nandini ke pas ja raha hu. I am giving her guitar lessons from today. So bye." Saying this he went towards girl's hostel and Cabir slept again. Manik was walking happily and when he was near Nandini's room he called her. She was getting ready in her room. She was wearing her tie when she heard her phone ringing. She quickly went near her phone and was shocked to see Manik calling. She picked it up and blushed after Manik wished her good morning.
Manik: Good Morning baby. Open the door.
She opened the door and saw Manik all ready for school. She hung up the call and hugged him tightly and he also gave in hugging her with more force. She said," Good morning Manik." Manik broke the hug and pushed her inside and closed the door. He sat on the bed as if he owns the place.
Nandini: Manik you woke up so early? Is everything alright?
Manik: No angel. Get ready fast. I am going to give you guitar lessons from today.
Nandini happily: Really Manik?
Manik stood up and cupped her face and placed a soft kiss on her forehead. He caressed her face softly not leaving contact with her eyes.
Manik: Yes baby.
Nandini pecked on his lips: You are the best Manik.
Manik smiled and Nandini went in front of the mirror and started wearing her tie. Manik went in front of her and made her wear the tie and Nandini kept looking at him with awe. Manik then picked up her jacket and made her wear it. He was behind her and he kissed on her shoulder looking into her eyes and then asked," Chale?" Nandini just nodded and picked up her bag and started walking with him towards the music room. As soon as they reached there Manik picked up the guitar and started teaching her the basics. She was doing great and then Manik played a little difficult tune seeing Nandini's fast grasping skills. Nandini tried it once twice but she was doing something wrong. Manik explained her but she couldn't do it properly.
Manik softly: Baby aise nahi. I will show you again. Iss bar don't make any mistake. Okay?
Nandini: Okay.
Manik again played that tune and Nandini tried playing it again. She started well but again something went wrong.
Manik: Nandini you are doing it wrong. Why ain't you getting it?
Nandini: I am trying na Manik.
Manik angrily: Then try harder.
Nandini jerked due to his loud angry voice and tears started forming in her eyes and she would start crying any second.
Manik saw tears forming in her eyes and his angry expression turned into a soft one. Nandini placed the guitar down with a thud and went outside. Manik said while she was going," Nandu sorry." She walked away without listening to him and Manik ran behind her but he couldn't find her anywhere. He thought she might be in the assembly hall so he ran towards it. He saw her with the girls. Everyone was talking and laughing but her angel's smile was missing and he knew he was the reason behind it. He was continuously looking at her but she was just looking down. Suddenly she looked towards Manik's direction and saw that he was looking at her with guilt clearly visible on his face. Her heart melt down seeing his face and she forgot everything. But she looked away from him giving a blank expression. Manik said to himself," Oh god! She looks so hurt. Shit man! I can't see her sad. I have to make up for it." Nandini was still thinking about Manik. She knew he didn't mean to be rude and the way he was looking at her melted away all the anger. She saw it in his eyes which were deep like an ocean that how sorry he was. She again looked at Manik who was just looking down unlike the other days when his head would be held up high or he would be looking at her. After the assembly, everyone went to the canteen to have breakfast and as usual MaNan sat together.
Nandini had forgiven him as soon as she looked into his eyes but she thought of having some fun. She smirked and then in a second changed her expression into an angry one. She ate her breakfast silently unlike other days when she would talk and laugh with everyone and would share her food with Manik and even feed him some times not caring about others looking at them. Manik was sad because her ever so bubbly girlfriend was now silent. After having breakfast everyone headed to the classroom. Nandini intentionally sat with Navya to tease Manik. Manik was pissed off but he tried to control himself. After a few classes, all the students were taken to the library to read whatever they like. Nandini was searching for a book when Manik also came there and stood beside Nandini.
Manik: I need to talk with you. Please come with me.
Nandini: Mujhe tumse koi bat nahi karni.
Manik: Please come with me. Or else I can use my own tricks.
Nandini: I am not coming with you. You can do whatever you want to.
Manik: Okay. Suit yourself.
Nandini stood there folding her arms accross her chest waiting for him to do something. Suddenly he lifted her up and smirked. Nandini was shocked at his action. She pleaded him to put her down but Manik just smirked and started walking.
Nandini: Manik I will come with you. But just put me down.
Manik looked at her cute face and her pleading eyes. He just put her down gently. As soon as he put her down she smirked and ran out of the library.
Manik followed her and he saw her entering the girl's washroom. She thought that he won't enter the girl's washroom but little did she know that Manik would do anything for her. He entered inside without a second thought and saw Nandini's shocked face. He smirked and moved closer to her and was about to pull her closer but she splashed some water on him and then he also did the same. They both were splashing water on each other till they both were almost drenched. They both were chasing each other and splashing water like tom and jerry. After some time, they both stopped and were breathing heavily. They looked at each other's condition and started laughing like maniacs. Then Manik took some tissue paper in his hand and walked towards Nandini. He pulled her closer by holding her waist and started wiping her face gently and slowly. He said," I am sorry. I didn't mean to." Nandini placed her finger on his lips and said," Shhh.. Manik I had forgiven you the moment you looked at me in the assembly hall with eyes full of guilt." Manik said," Ohh.. accha. So you were trying to have fun eh?" Nandini smiled and she also started wiping his face and said," Yes my monster." Manik smirked and said," So now it's my turn to have some fun." Nandini smirked and started caressing his face in a flirty way with her fingers. She looked straight into his eyes and asked," What kind of fun baby?" Manik was just looking at her without blinking his eyes.
Nandini started giggling at his condition and freed away from his grip. Manik sighed and said," You know what impact you have on me. So you always take the advantage." Nandini ran towards the door and said," I know I am too irresistable." She winked at him and went outside where she bumped into Cabir. Cabir was shocked to see her all drenched and said," Woah! Nandini, Ek ladki bheegi bhaagi si." Just then Manik also came out of the washroom in the same condition. Cabir chuckled looking at them and said," Tip tip barsa PaNi, PaNi ne aag lagayi." Manik gave a deathly stare while Nandini just blushed.
Manik: Cabir! Shut up!
Cabir: Nandini tell your bf ki mujhe aise deathly stares na de. If looks could kill I would have died untill now.
Nandini chuckled and stood beside Cabir and Cabir kept his hand around her shoulder.
Nandini: Cabir sahi keh raha hai.
Manik: Oh! Now you are on his side eh?
Cabir: Obviously! I am her favourite. Right Nandu?
Nandini: Yes Cabir.
Manik looked at them all surprised and Cabini were giggling at him. They both saw his cute angry pout and pulled him towards them into a group hug. They broke the hug after a few moments and started laughing. After some time,
Nandini: Guys let's go. Class ka time ho raha hai.
Cabir: Aree guys! Wait. Tum log jab library se bhaag gaye the tab hum sab ko pata chala ki aaj half day hai. There's some important meeting.
Manik: Thank god! Let's go to the canteen
Nandini: Manik tumhe khane ke alawa kuch nahi dikhta hai na.
Manik dreamily: Yes! Food is my first.. nai nai. My second love. ( He then looked towards Nandini and pulled her closer by holding her waist tightly. He moved his lips towards her cheek and pecked on her right cheek to which she blushed) And My first love is you baby.
Nandini started blushing hard and Manik kept looking at her flushed face.
Cabir: Ahem Ahem. Ye school hai guys. Please control your hormones.
Manik and Nandini moved away from each other and stood straight but still looking at each other again and again.
Nandini: Canteen chale?
ManBir agreed with her and three of them went to the canteen and met fab3, Navya and Abhi there. Everyone was shocked to see MaNan's condition. But they just chuckled looking at them and everyone started having lunch. MaNan as usual shared their lunch and in between Nandini made him eat with her hands and Manik did the same. Mukti was looking towards Abhi again and again while eating and she made sure that he doesn't notice it. She was struggling between her mind and heart. She knew she should listen to what her heart says but her mind stopped her reminding of whatever had happened in the past. After having lunch, everyone was walking towards their rooms. Cabir and Manik went to their rooms and so did Navya and Nandini. Aliya had some work in the library so Dhruv was waiting for her. She was searching for a book in the library and Dhruv was helping her.
Dhruv looked around and saw nobody there so he pulled Aliya to a corner where no one could see them. Aliya was shocked with this sudden pull and his next move surprised her. Dhruv smacked his lips on her and started kissing her senseless. Aliya was taken aback but she also kissed him passionately by digging her nails into his hair. They broke the kiss soon realising they were in the library. Aliya's face flushed and Dhruv was also blushing. Aliya took the book she wanted and rushed out of the library with Dhruv. They both went back to their rooms blushing and thinking about what just happened. Meanwhile, Aryamann was in the music room waiting for someone and pacing accross the music room. Suddenly he heard someone's voice from behind.
The guy: Aryamann.
Aryamann turned around and smiled: Whats up Harshad? Long time man!
He hugged Harshad and he also hugged him back. They hi fived after breaking the hug and smirked.
Harshad: So aryamann howz is going? Kuch pata chala?
Aryamann: Yeah! I mean I got to know that Manik is too possesive about his girlfriend Nandini.
Harshad smirked: Nandini and Manik. That's cool. Atleast my sister is free now.
Aryamann: So what's the plan bro?
Harshad: As far as I know Manik ke liye trust bohot important hai. We just have to do something to break his trust from his most beloved person. His lady love Nandini.
Aryamann: But how are we gonna do that?
Harshad smirked: Don't worry about that bro! Just research for some days more. Keep an eye on them.
Aryamann: Okay bro! See you then.
Harshad smirked devilishly and Aryamann went away from there. Harshad said to himself," This is the beginning of the end of you Manik Malhotra." He smirked and went away.
IN THE EVENING
Around 7 pm in the evening, Nandini was roaming around the school and chatting with Manik on her cell phone. She was walking and giggling on some stupid joke of Manik. On the other side, Manik was lying on his bed on his stomach and smiling while chatting with Nandini. Meanwhile, Nandini was not looking forward so she bumped into a lady. She looked up and saw a lady in her late forties wearing a navy blue half sleeved dress. She was none other than Nyonika and Nandini recognized her in a second. From her childhood she was always afraid of her. Today also worry was written all over her face. Her phone fell down as she bumped into her and she didn't pick up it up and was looking at her. On the other side, Manik was waiting for her reply but she wasn't replying even if she was online and she had seen the message so he immediately called her. Nyonika looked down and picked up her cell phone and smirked looking at the picture of MaNan and the contact name of Manik. She had written his name along with some kiss and heart smilies. She handed over the phone to Nandini and folded her hands accross her chest. Nandini cut the call and gave a pale smile to her.
Nyonika: Nandini Murthy. Isn't it?
Nandini: Ye..yes Ma'am. How are you?
Nyonika: I am fine. But how are you? Is my son treating you well?
Nandini surprised: I am good.
Nyonika: That is great. Actually Manik is a little short tempered. Isiliye mai puch rahi thi.
Nandini: No ma'am. He isn't anymore.
Nyonika smirked: Oh Nandini! I know my son very well. You will see it soon when he gets bored with you.
Nandini widened her eyes and kept looking at her with shock. On the other side, Manik got worried so he went out searching for her. Meanwhile,
Nyonika smirked: Don't be scared. He will soon ger bored with you and leave you all alone.
Nandini angrily: Nyonika Ma'am. Please aap ye sab mat boliye. I know Manik very well. His love for me is true.
Nyonika: Love? Like really? Manik can never love anyone
He just loves himself.
Nandini: Please. You
Nyonika interrupted: You stay away from my son or else I will destroy your life.
Manik came from behind and stood beside Nandini. He looked angrily towards Nyonika as he saw some tears in Nandini's eyes.
Manik: And how are you gonna do that?
Nyonika: Manik!
Manik: Nyonika please just stop playing your stupid games and go away.
Nyonika looked towards Nandini: I am warning you to stay away. And besides this, I know my son very well. He can be a nightmare for you.
Manik: Nyonika Nyonika! Stop it! Let me clear this she has turned the monster you created in a human being. And as far as love is considered I don't need to explain it to you. Because it's beyond you.
Nyonika gave an angry stare to both of them and left from there and Manik left a sigh of relief and then looked at Nandini who was in tears. He knew that Nandini is too innocent to handle such behaviour and that too from a mother. He placed his hands on her shoulder and made her look at him. He cupped her face and stopped her precious tears from rolling down hee cheeks. She just hugged him tightly and he also gave in and started rubbing her back gently. She clutched the jacket he was wearing. They stayed in that position for a while and Nandini broke the hug when she felt better. She was about to say sonething when Manik stopped her.
Manik: Nandu! Don't say anything. I know it's hard for you. But she is a devil. Don't worry about anything because I am and will always be with you.
Nandini: Humesha?
Manik smiled: Humesha.
Nandini also smiled and Manik placed a soft kiss on her forehead. After some time, they joined everyone for dinner in the canteen. Nandini was still lost in her thoughts and was thinking about Nyonika. Manik was feeling bad that because of his so called mother, her angel is sad. He held her hand from downside and she entwined their fingers but still her smile was missing. Manik tried many ways to make her smile but in vain. After dinner, Nandini went to her room with Navya and Manik thought to give her some time. So he also went back to his room along with Cabir. Meanwhile, Nandini was in her room totally lost in her thoughts.
She was just thinking about Nyonika and her words. Suddenly her phone beeped with the message of Manik. It said," I know you might be thinking about Nyonika. I can understand so please take your time but give my bubbly girl back. I will wait. Don't forget I love you Humesha." Her lips curved into a smile as she read the text. She thought for a while about what to do and here Manik was just looking at his cell phone eagerly waiting for her reply. He waited for sometime and kept his phone down with a sigh and at the same time Nandini sent him a message. It said," Manik I am sorry for behaving like this. I just don't understand how to react or what to do. And right now what I need is you. Only you can take away all my problems. Please mere pas aao Manik. I need you. And I love you more." Manik smiled and replied," I am coming right away." Nandini got down from her bed and went near the door. As soon as she heard soke foot steps she opened the door and saw Manik standing in front of her. She closed the door slowly, held his hand and they started walking. They came to the canteen and sat their taking the support of the food counter. Nandini rested her head on his chest and he wrapped his arms around her. After a long silence, Nandini spoke.
Nandini: Manik I am not scared of Nyonika Ma'am anymore.
Manik: That's great! But achanak kya hogaya tumhe?
Nandini: I told you na only you can take away all my problems. Tumhare sath rehti hu to I feel safe.
I feel ki tum mere sath ho to mujhe kabhi kuch nahi ho sakta.
Manik kissed her head: That's true. I will never let anyone harm you. You are not a part of my life but you are my life. And you don't own a special place in my heart but you are my heart. And my heart beats only for you.
Nandini smiled and kissed on his heart. She did not say anything just snuggled up to him and he also made his grip tighter. After some moments,
Manik: Nandu I have got something for you.
Nandini happily: What?
Manik broke their hug and gave her favourite chocolate silk in her hand. She took it happily and she just looked like a small baby who just got her favourite thing. She opened the wrapper and rubbed her finger on it and then licked her finger and made some noises while eating which made Manik smile. She then offered him while her finger was still in her mouth. Manik took some chocolate in his finger and put his finger in her mouth and she licked it looking into her eyes. Then immediately Manik crashed on her lips and started kissing her passionately and she also gave in. His tongue entered her mouth exploring it and so did Nandini's tongue. After some time, they broke the kiss and Manik said against her lips," That's my way of eating chocolate." Nandini blushed and then they together started having the chocolate. Nandini did the same what Manik had done. After that, Manik made her sit on him facing him and took the chocolate from her hand.
Sometimes, he would lick the chocolate with his finger and sometimes she would do the same. Once, Manik applied chocolate on his lips and Nandini sucked it and then it turned to a long passionate kiss and then Manik did the same with Nandini's lips. After some time, only a row of chocolate was remaining so Manik put one end in his mouth and Nandini put the other end in her mouth and they both came near each other's lips bitting the chocolate. Their lips touched and then they started kissing each other hungrily. Nandini almost climbed over him and Manik tried pulling her closer by holding her waist by one hand and was caressing her curves with other hand. They broke the kiss as they were out of breathe. They were breathing heavily and looking at each other. Manik wiped the chocolate stains near her lips. But Nandini licked the chocolate around his lips to which Manik gave a naughty smile. Nandini then sat beside him holding his arm tightly. And keeping her head on his arm. She said," Manik please sing for me." Manik said," Okay princess. This song is for you." Nandini blushed and Manik closed his eyes and started singing.

He opened his eyes and wrapped his arms around her and started caressing her hair.

Nandini lied down on his lap and kept looking at him lovingly. Manik caressed her forehead and her face and placed soft kisses on her forehead, cheeks, eyes and her lips and theb rubbed her nose with his. He again started singing.

Nandini held his hand and pecked on it and then kept his hand on her heart.

Manik finished his song and they both were looking into each other's eyes.
Manik: So how was it baby?
Nandini: Yeh koi puchne wali bat hai? You always sing the best.
Manik: Whenever I sing for you I sing from my heart to apne aap acha hojata hai.
Nandini: You know Manik I can watch you singing for hours. Bas dekhti rahu tumhe. Your voice has that magic which touches my heart and soul.
Manik smiled: And I would love to sing for you all my life. But I would also love to see you singing for me.
Nandini smiled: I will baby.
She kissed his hand and stood up and made him stand. And then they both started walking towards Nandini's room. They reached their and were facing each other, holding hands not wanting to leave each other.
He sighed and hugged her tightly and kissed her head and then placed his chin on his head. She also hugged him with equal force resting her head on his chest listening to his heartbeats. They unwillingly broke the hug and he placed a soft kiss on her forehead and she pecked on his cheek. Nandini said," Tomorrow morning at music room, 7 am sharp." Manik lowered his head and said," As you say madame." Nandini chuckled and said," Okay. So good" Manik interrupted," I am sorry for getting angry on you." Nandini said," But I was doing it wrong that's why you shouted. It's not your fault." Manik said," No baby. It's my fault. Maine difficult tune sikhayi. Don't argue with me. It's my fault and I am really very sorry. Manik Malhotra kisi ko sorry nahi bolta so jaldi accept my apology." Nandini smiled and said," It's okay baby. Now happy?" Manik said," Very happy! Now you go and sleep. See you tomorrow. Good Night. I love you." Nandini said," Tum bhi so jao. I love you more. And here is your good night kiss." Saying this she placed her lips on his softly sucking his lips and he also responded with equal passion. They broke the kiss and Manik said," Wow! One more time." He made a pout and closed his eyes but instead of getting a kiss on his lips Nandini pecked on his cheeks and ran into her room leaving him surprised. She gave a warm smile and he also smiled looking at her. Manik went back to his room and peacefully slept hugging his pillow and Nandini did the same.
