CHAPTER 34 A

It was 8 am in the morning when Nandini woke up. She saw herself lying comfortably and her body was covered with a blanket. She saw that Manik was sleeping in a sitting position taking the support of the pillow and she was lying on his stomach holding his hand. She remembered about last night that Manik was lying in her lap and she was sitting taking the support of the pillow and they fell asleep in that position itself. She rubbed her eyes and gave a smile to Mukti who was already awake and looking at them. At the same time, Ccabir came there running and searching for Manik and was relieved to see her with Nandini. Nandini sat beside Manik and caressed his face gently and said," Manik wake up." Manik opened his eyes a bit and makinh some noises again closed his eyes just like a small kiddo. Nandini then started shaking him by holding his shoulders and the he woke up with a jerk. He saw Nandini in front of so he just pulled her into a hug and with eyes closed he said," Good morning." Nandini also hugged him back and said with a smile," Good Morning." She broke the hug and said feeling guilty," Manik you slept the whole night sitting! Why Manik?" Manik said," Because we fell asleep while talking. I was sleeping comfortably in your lap but you were sitting and sleeping. So when I woke up at night to have some water I saw your uncomfortable position so I just made you sleep comfortably." Nandini was just looking straight into his eyes with awe. She was about to say something when Mukti interrupted.

Mukti said while pulling Manik's cheeks: Aww! That is so cute.

Nandini just smiled looking at her while ManBir gave each other a confused look.

Manik: Are you fine Mukti? Tu kabse itni girly hogayi?

Cabir: Exactly!

Mukti sighed and replied: I just found your gesture cute. Isme girly kya hai?

Nandini: Guys chuck all this! We will reach in five minutes. So I will just freshen up a bit. And Manik you too freshen up.

Manik smirked: Nandini. Wait. You know na what I need after getting up!

Nandini widened her eyes as she knew what he was talking about. Till then Aliya and Navya also woke up. So she was feeling shy.

Nandini: Yes. I know that Manik. You need water right? (She eyed Manik to shut up)

Manik: Yes. PaNi. I want that. But I also want that tasty delicious thing.

Nandini: Han. Wo mai dungi badme. Not right now.

Cabir and Mukti:What?

Manik winked at Nandini and said innocently: Batao na Nandu!

Nandini looked here and there and then said: He wants... He wants juice. Hai na Manik?

Manik smirked again and Nandini gave him a I will kill you look' so he didn't say anything further and kept quiet.

Nandini: Manik if you want juice then get up fast or else I won't

Manik interrupted: Aree I am going na!

Manik left giggling and Nandini left a sigh of relief. After some time, everyone went inside the bus which would take them to the school. MaNan were sitting together holding hands and so did Cavya. Mukti and Aliya sat together and Dhruv sat with Abhi. Dhruv was listening songs putting on his headphones while Abhi was just thinking about Mukti and was staring at her. Meanwhile, Muklya were talking with each other. Aliya was noticing some changes in Mukti. She knew something was different, something new.

Aliya: Mukti is everything the same or anything has changed?

Mukti: What are you talking about?

Aliya: I mean you are behaving different.

Mukti: Different as in?

Aliya: I don't know. It's just that something is different about you. And you are wearing your old clothes. This girly ones!

Mukti smiled: Aliya, It's just that I am happy.

Aliya: So stay happy like this forever. I miss my old Mukti so much.

Mukti side hugged her and then looked towards Abhi who was just looking at her. A big smile appeared on her face. After an hour, everyone reached school and started walking towards their rooms. Nandini was with the girls and Manik was with the boys. They went to their respective rooms and rested for a while. Nandini got ready and wore a peach dress with green polka dots while Manik was wearing a dark blue jean shorts and a simple white t shirt. He was in the music room playing his guitar and he called Nandini there and she came to the music room as soon as possible. She saw him playing his guitar with passion and was totally lost in it. She just smiled and sat in front of him and at the same time he opened his eyes and saw her angelic face. He immediately stopped playing the guitar and hugged her tightly to which she also responded with equal force. After breaking the hug, Nandini cupped his face.

Nandini: Manik is your back hurting?

Manik: What? No. It's not. Why are you asking that?

Nandini: You were sleeping in such a uncomfortable position so I thought your back must be hurting.

Manik: That's good na! Agar tum waise soti to your back would have been hurting now. Acha hua I changed our positions.

Nandini: But Manik

Manik placed his fingers on her lips: Shh. I can't let anything happen to you. I can't let you go through any pain. I will bear as much as pains as possible just to make sure you are happy.

Nandini couldn't say anything. She just looked at him with her eyes full of love. Manik then placed a soft petal like kiss on her forehead and then looked into her eyes with passion and love. After a few moments, he was back to his mischievous mode. He moved his hands up and down on her shoulder and then caressed her waist.

Manik: Btw You were right about that tasty delicious thing. Your lips are actually juicy. The most delicious thing I have ever tasted.

Nandini blushed: Manik stop it na!

Manik chuckled: Okay! You can stop me if you let me taste that thing again.

Nandini just moved forwards without saying anything and placed her lips on his and started kissing him slowly. He also kissed her softly yet deeply and with love. After a few moments, they parted away and kept looking at each other. They spent some time together talking and laughing. Manik played guitar and Nandini just kept looking at him. After some time, they started moving towards the canteen to have lunch. When they were going to the canteen, Nandini remembered that she left her phone in the music room itself. So she told Manik to go and she will get her phone and join them soon. Manik agreed and told her to come soon. Nandini started walking towards the music room and taking her phone she started walking towards the canteen but she bumped into someone and her phone fell down. He was a tall guy who was wearing a blue jeans, white t shirt with a navy blue jacket. He picked up her phone and saw the picture of her and Manik. Nandini snatched her phone from his hand and was about to go when that guys held her hand and stopped her.

The guy: Hey I am sorry. I didn't see you.

Nandini: It's okay. Leave my hand.

They guy left her hand immediately and Nandini was about to leave when he again stopped her by coming in front of her. At the same time, Mukti saw all this sitting in the canteen and told everyone," Guys look there. Who is that guy? Is he troubling Nandini?" Listening to Nandini's name Manik immediately looked up and saw that guy trying to block Nandini's way.

The guy: Btw I am Aryamann. Aryamann Khanna. And I am sorry.

Nandini gave a fake smile: I said it's okay. Now can I go?

Aryamann: Hey hey wait! What is the name of this beautiful girl?

Nandini was pissed off and was about to say something when Manik came there with his eyes full of anger and stood beside Nandini.

Manik: This beautiful girl's name is Nandini. And just back off!

Aryamann: Okay bro! Chill!

Manik: Just remember our names. I am Manik Malhotra and she is Nandini Murthy. Don't you dare mess up with us!

With this he dragged Nandini with him. He was very angry at that time but his hold on Nandini's hand was gentle. They sat on the table and started having lunch. Manik was very angry and didn't speak anything and no one dared to speak anything to him as they knew their friend's anger was like a volcano ready to erupt! After having lunch, Manik walked out of the canteen and Nandini followed him. They came near the music wing and sat on the stairs. Nandini kept her hand on Manik's hand and he looked towards her.

Nandini: Manik please calm down!

Manik: How can I calm down Nandini?

Nandini: Manik he didn't do anything. Just forget about it na. Please

Manik: No I won't! He tried to touch you and now I am going to kill him.

Nandini clutched his hands: Manik we will do something about it. But right now forget about it na.

Manik: But Nan

Nandini smiled: Please Manik for me! Calm down na!

Manik kept looking at her and said: Your. Your smile does that anyway.

Nandini smiled even more and crashed on his chest and he wrapped his arms around her caressing her back and her hair. He kissed her hair and said," I love you Nandini." Nandini kissed on his chest and said," I love you more my chocolate boy." Manik chuckled hearing that and Nandini broke the hug and smiled at him.

Manik: Chocolate boy?

Nandini: Yes! Because chocolate is so yummy and I love it. And you too

Manik smirked: So you think I taste good?

Nandini bit her lower lip and shyly said: Yes! Too good.

Manik smiled looking at her shy face and just pulled her again into a hug. They both stayed in that position for a while and then joined their friends. They spent the rest of the day with each other and then at night after having dinner everyone went to their respective rooms. Manik was near the window staring at the stars while Nandini also was doing the same. Suddenly her phone rang flashing the name of Manik. She immediately picked up.

Nandini: Manik!

Manik: Hi princess. Don't you wanna sleep?

Nandini: Yes! But tumse bat kare bina kaise soti?

Manik smiled: Hmm.. So are you missing me?

Nandini smirked: Nai to! Who said I was missing you?

Manik: Oh! Accha! Then bye I will talk with some other girl.

Nandini: Which girl? Just tell me her name Manik.

Manik chuckled: Haha. I was kidding my jealous girl.

Nandini: I am not jealous. Okay?

Manik smiled: Okay. Okay. So you might be sleepy na! Then go to sleep. We will meet tomorrow.

Nandini smiled: Okay! Good Night Manik.

Manik: My good night kiss?

Nandini placed the phone in front of her lips and said: Muahh!

Manik smiled: That's like my girl.

Nandini: So good night Manik. I love you

Manik: Good night angel. I love you more.

Both smiled and cut the call and went to sleep peacefully dreaming about each other.

And the next part I will try to update as soon as possible. I just don't want to bore you all with anything which has already happened or is happening in the show. I am just trying to think something new which will probably take some time. Hope you all understand.

CHAPTER 34 B

NEXT MORNING

After attending the assembly and having breakfast, all the students went to the classroom to get a shock. They had a surprise test that day on the subject which was hated by everyone i.e. Maths. Nandini loved Maths so it was not a big shock for her. The sitting arrangement was like one student on one bench. Nandini was sitting on the second last bench and Manik was far away from her. He just stood up from the bench and went near the girl who was seated beside Nandini's bench. He eyed that girl with anger and she immediately ran away from there. Manik smirked and sat on the bench beside Nandini and they both smiled looking at each other. The test started and Nandini was solving all the problems like a calculator while Manik was struggling. Dhruv was trying to solve but slowly. Abhi was also good at Maths and he helped Mukti in writting the test. While Aliya was seated beside a nerd boy who helped her without any problem. Cabir and Navya helped each other. Manik was still struggling and Nandini being the obedient student didn't even look up for a single time. After half an hour, Nandini looked towards Manik who was scribbling something on the question paper. She called him in a low voice and he immediately looked up. She asked him with actions,"what are you doing?" Manik made a sad face and pointed towards the paper and she understood what his problem was. After that, Manik again started scribbling something on the paper.

After some time, he called Nandini in a low voice and when she looked up he raised the question paper in the air and Nandini blushed looking at it. He had written " I LOVE YOU" in bold with a very nice font. Nandini also started writting something on the question paper and then after a few minutes she also raised the paper in air and he smiled looking at it. It was written," I LOVE YOU MORE." After that, Manik kept his hand on his heart and then pointed his finger towards Nandini signaling that his heart belongs to only her. She just blushed in reply. After a few moments of staring at each other, they both again started writting the test. Manik again called Nandini and he looked at her with pleading eyes and making a cute puppy face. Nandini nodded her head and signalled him a no. Manik made an angry face and looked away and she felt bad. She looked around and saw that the teacher was busy with his work. So she leaned towards his bench and took his answer paper and started writting whatever she had written and Manik was looking at her all surprised. Now the test time was about to finish so she gave back the paper to Manik and smiled at him. He saw the whole paper and smiled. He looked towards Nandini and gave her a flying kiss and she just blushed. After the test Manik and Nandini walked towards their friends and everyone was surprised because they were super happy.

Mukti: Why are you both so happy? The test was horrible man!

Nandini: It was very easy. I solved everything.

Manik smirked: Same here.

Cabir shocked: Nandu ne sab solve kiya wo samajh sakte hai. Her brain is like a calculator. But Manik you don't even know the M of Maths.

Navya: Cabir! You are so dumb! Nandu ne help ki hogi Manik ki.

Dhruv: I second that. Buddy ko maths bilkul nahi pasand.

Manik: Okay guys! She helped me.

Mukti: We knew it. Chalo guys lunch time hai.

Manik: Yeah let's go. I am so hungry.

Nandini chuckled: Mr. Foodie.

And everyone laughed listening to that and Manik just avoided it and walked with them. They reached the canteen and started having lunch. Everyone started talking and laughing and pulling each other's leg. Everyone was happy looking at Mukti as she was happy after a long time. Abhi was just looking at her lovingly and Mukti was also stealing glances of him. This didn't go unnoticed by our all time cupid Cabir and her jungli billi. After having lunch, everyone went for the music class. Raghav sir was there and he was standing there with Aryamann. As soon as, fab5 and NavNi entered everyone gave him an angry glare and got seated on their seats. Manik was giving him the most deadly glares. Nandini held his hand and signalled him to calm down.

Raghav Sir: Students meet Aryamann Khanna. He has moved to India from New york. And he is an amazing singer. So get ready to get some tough challenges.

Aryamann stood beside him with full attitude and was smirking.

Aryamann: Thank you sir. But I have heard a lot about your students.

Raghav Sir: Yes you are right. I have many brilliant students. So, today we are going to have a face off between Aryamann and.. and.. Come on guys who is up for it.

Manik stood up with attitude and smirked looking at Aryamann.

Manik: I will compete him.

Raghav sir happily: That's the spirit Manik. Please come here. But there is a twist. Pick up a chit from this bowl and you have to sing according to the theme given in it. Both will get the same theme.

Aryamann smirked: Okay sir. I think your student is going to get some tough competition.

Raghav sir: Don't be so over confident. Manik is the most talented singer of our school.

Manik smirked and picked up his guitar and Aryamann also picked up a guitar which was kept on the shelf in the classroom. Raghav sir called Nandini to pick up the chit and she did the same. She read it aloud which said," The theme is love" Manik and Nandini smiled looking at each other and then Nandini went back to her seat. Raghav sir told Aryamann to start first. He sang the song 'Hale Dil' from the movie murder. At the time of singing he was walking around the class flirting with some girls but didn't even come near Nandini. He tried to flirt with Aliya and Mukti but then backed off when he saw angry glares from their friends. He was praised a lot by Raghav sir and many girls were going crazy about him. Now it was time for Manik to sing. He stood in front of the mike and started playing his guitar with closed eyes.

After a few moments, Manik opened his eyes and looked straight into Nandini's eyes lovingly and started singing.

Saari raat aahein bharta

Pal pal yaadon mein marta

Maane na meri mann mera

(He was smiling and looking at Nandini and she was sitting on the bench keeping her elbows on the desk and her chin was rested on her palm. She was lost in his mesmerising voice)

Thode thode hosh madhoshi si hai

Neend behosheein si hai

Jaane kuch bhi na mann mera

Kabhi mera tha par ab begaana hai yeh

Deewana deewana samjhe na ho

( He winked at Nandini and she blushed. Navya hit her elbow lightly to tease her but she didn't even notice because she was lost in Manik's eyes.)

Kabhi chup chup rahe kabhi gaaya ye kare

Bin pooche tere tariffein sunaya ye karen

( He nodded his head while smiling)

Hai koi haqeeqat tu ya koi fasana hai

( He raised his hand in air and it pointed towards Nandini.)

Kuch jaane agar toh itna ki yeh tera deewana hai

He finished the song but he was still looking towards Nandini and she was also looking at him. Their trance was broken by the sound of claps.

Manik placed his guitar down and stood beside Raghav Sir who was very happy with him. All the girls were drooling at him.

Raghav sir: That was superb Manik.

Manik smirked: Thank you! It is an original.

Raghav sir: Wow! I am proud of you. Your lyrics were too good.

Manik looked at Nandini and said: Agar inspiration itni achi ho to lyrics apne aap ache ban jate hai.

Raghav Sir: Well, that's great. So Aryamann you were also good. But Manik was better because the emotions and feelings he displayed while singing were so real and it gave a new meaning to the song. So don't get upset and try to get better and better. And Manik you too don't get over confident now.

Aryamann: Thank you sir! Today I have got a reason to improve myself and I will surely do that.

Raghav sir: So that's it for the day. See you guys tomorrow.

Everyone left the class leaving fab5 and NavNi behind. Manik came towards everyone and was still looking at his girl.

Mukti: Manik that was awesome man!

Dhruv: Yes buddy! The lyrics were too good.

Cabir: Manik baba itne romantic songs kabse likhne lage ho aap?

Manik looked at Nandini: I told na jab inspiration itni achi ho to lyrics apne aap ache bante hai.

Nandini started blushing and her face turned into a red tomato. Everyone else looked at them with awe and then again started teasing them. They went out to attend other classes. All the couples sat together around each other.

After all the classes, everyone started moving back to their rooms but Nandini pulled Manik with him behind the music block. Manik was surprised because he is the one who always does that. As soon as they reached their Nandini held his hands in her hands and looked up to see him. She was looking at him with so much of love in her eyes and her smile was the prettiest. Manik pulled her closer holding her hands and then caressed her face with one hand.

Manik: Nandini kya hua hai tumhe?

Nandini: Manik. Did you write that song for me?

Manik: Obviously. Just for you my love. Any doubts?

Nandini smiled and her happiness had no bounds so she just hugged him and her head rested on his chest listening his heartbeats. Manik hugged her back tightly and kissed on her head and then rested his chin on her head. They stood there for a while and then breaking the hug they started walking towards their rooms. Manik insisted to walk her to her room and she couldn't deny him. They were walking hand in hand and everyone was looking at them. Girls were jealous and the boys too. After some time, they reached Nandini's room and Manik left after hugging her and giving her a soft peck on her forehead.

AT NIGHT

Mukti and Abhi reached the canteen first and got seated on their usual table. They were talking and suddenly Abhi said something which made her blush.

Abhi: You are so beautiful. I like you.

Mukti blushed a bit and Abhi was surprised.

Abhi: Tumhe blush karna bhi aata hai.. Wow!

Mukti didn't say anything and again Abhi said something to which she blushed again.

Abhi: I know we live in a hostel and we can't go out. But will you go on a date with me? I mean not actually a date but we can spend some time together.

Mukti: Yes sure. I will.

Abhi: Thank you so much. So tomorrow evening? Is that cool?

Mukti: yeah! It's fine.

At the same time, Dhruv and Aliya also entered the canteen holding hands and giggling. They jouned Mukbhi and later on Cavya also joined them. Meanwhile, Nandini was rushing towards the canteen as she was late. At the same time, Aryamann came there and looked around but couldn't find Manik around so he approached Nandini.

Aryamann smiled: Hey Nandini.

Nandini gave a fake smile: Hi.

Aryamann: I am sorry for yesterday. I don't have any wrong intensions.

Nandini: It's okay.

Aryamann: So let's go to the canteen. We can have dinner together. Actually I don't have any friends here. That's why

Nandini didn't know what to do. She actually felt that he wasn't lying and at the same time she knew that Manik would get very angry. She was thinking about Manik and at the same time he came there and stood beside Nandini.

Manik: What were you saying?

Aryamann: I just asked her if she could join me for dinner.

Manik: I said to stay away from her.

Aryamann: Dude! I was just trying to be friends with her. What's your problem? Are you her bodygaurd or something?

Manik smirked and slid his hand around Nandini's waist pulling her closer and said: Dude get it straight. This beautiful girl standing beside me is my girlfriend. So just back off!

Everyone around them was looking at MaNan. Manik's head was held high with proud to announce that the beautiful girl standing beside him is his lady love. Nandini smiled looking at her over possesive bf which she just loved about him.

Aryamann: Okay bro! I am going.

Aryamann left and MaNan walked away from there towards the canteen and joined their friends. After having dinner, everyone went back to their rooms. Manik was on his bed reading Nandini's diary. He had read it many times but still he loves to read it again and again. He was reading the part where Nandini had written about the night when she had shared her problems with Manik in the music room and they slept in the music room itself.

Nandini's POV

I was not able to control my tears so I side hugged Manik and kept my head on his shoulders. Manik also held my me tightly in his arms and tried to console me. After sometime I stopped crying but I didn't want to leave Manik. I was feeling safe and protected in Manik's arms. I forgot all my problems and made our hug tighter. I don't know what he must be feeling but I was sure for me that moment was perfect. I could feel his warmth and his fast heartbeats. Maybe he also felt the same...Maybe

End of POV

Manik smiled and said," I also felt the same baby."

He then kept the diary safely in his cupboard and lied down on the bed. MaNan talked with each other for some time and then saying good night to each other they slept peacefully.
