DAY 26! - Truths and Lies!
Truths. Revelations. Acceptance.
Lies. Bluffs. Myths.
Many lies were revealed, many truths were confessed. Many lies best not be revealed. Many truths must not be confessed.
Manik's lies have always been more for himself than for her. His lies have always been more to himself than for her.
But today, the night has arrived! The night of the truth. For it is during the night that we dream new dreams. For it is amongst darkness, we notice light.
Lie & Truth no.1: Once upon a night he had claimed he can never forgive her. Once upon a night yet again, and today the heart is in its truthful dilemma. What? When? How? The mind. Absolutely blank. Utterly Clueless. The truth has been revealed. The acceptance has been voiced.
"Pata hi nahi chala kab woh chup chaap...She sneaked back into my life."
Her entry has left him dumbfounded because the mind was supposed to be victorious in this battle. And the mind had assured her departure to be permanent. But here she is. Breathing in him, Smiling with him. Crying with him. Living in him. And his mind has no explanation. So he readily agrees with the heart. She is back and he's glad. She isn't leaving and he's relieved.
Lie & Truth no. 2: There was once a morning where he had lied to be able to forget her. Forget? You forget those who you try to remember. And she... She can neither be remembered nor forgotten. She's a part of him. One she completes him like the stars complete the moon.
"Life itni easy lagti hai... when she smiles".
How can one forget the reason of their existence? How can one forget the better half of themselves? Impossible! His life would be like a storm without her. His life would be a black hole. Hopeless. Lifeless. His life is true because she's a part of it. The day he forgets her, he will forget himself.
Lie & Truth no. 3: Another bluff was once voiced when he said that this war was between her hope and his hatred.
"I can't let her lose that smile. No!"
A text message showcased the truth to this lie. An attempt to sort out his equation with his brother. A chance to re-enter this fusion concert. His hope is his hope. But her hope is also his hope. It's pointless to try and recall when this supposed hatred transformed into a ray of hope. Because the announcement of the challenge itself saw the initial flickering of his hope. His priority is set, It's true. His priority is her this time!
Lie & Truth no.4: He had once so confidently claimed a lie that the reason of his smile was music. I hear no music today, yet a smile played as beautiful as ever throughout today. He smiled when he realised her return in his life. He smiled when he realised the relief his life experiences upon her presence. He smiled at her innocence as she tried to cover herself with a pillow after her embarrassing fall on the bed. He smiled her new avatar. He smiled even wider upon confessing that it's not her avatar that he loves, it's her soul he admires. He smiled at her ability to read his mind when he demands and leans in for the "thing". But no music. His music is her voice, His lyrics is her name. She is his complete song.
Truths and lies. They are such a controversial concept.
Lie is said to be the game-breaker. Poisonous, Evil. Dark and Unfaithful. Truth on the other hand is believed to be the deal-maker. Enlightening. Hopeful. Honest and joy-spreading.
But truth isn't so easy to digest. It's a rather twisted maze. It may be fruitful, but the experience can often be bitter. It may be famous for mending the broken aspect of life, but its revelation can often cause life to crumble. It may be the key to discovering the light at the end of the tunnel, but if can often leave you lonely and abandoned on this journey of life.
It's effect so ironical. For some it may shower glittering rays of hope. For others it may shower only tears. For many it might mark the start of a new beginning. For others it may become the doom of their perfect homes. For most, truth means relief. But many are left helpless.
Two friends. A broken story. A painful truth. Where one has just experienced the most destructive incident of devils trampling over her self-respect. The other is suffering from the painful experience of an abandoned heart and squelched feelings. Yet they search for their share of happiness that the truth promises to provide. They ruffle through their lives to find the ray of hope that every truth is meant to gift.
"Pata hai mujhe kay lagta hai? I think us, hot girls...we've been cursed by these boys who run behind us. You know...ke just because they couldn't be with us, hamari life...hamari love life will be screwed up forever!"
But the hope to discover that sweet truth crumbled. Nothing. Rain instead of sunshine. Tears instead of a peaceful smile.
Hence why many choose the path of lies.
Truth can often be unbearable. It's pain more severe than any knife. It's bluntness enough to shatter the heart into a million pieces. One such truth exists in Manik's life. The truth of a relatioship that the world claims to be the most beautiful of all relationships. The truth of a bond that is claimed to be the purest of all bonds.
The truthful relationship of a son and a mother. The truthful bond of motherhood.
A truth that has been the cause of his fear from the darkness. A truth that cursed his life to become more deceitful than a lie. His truth has haunted him at every step of his life. Whilst truth's prime role is to answer unanswered questions, truth has always raised questions in his mind. What is the reality of truth? Does truth even exist? Can truth ever be trusted? His truth has always taught him to doubt relationships, emotions, and people. The truth he was introduced to as a little child was manipulative, selfish, corrupt and exploitive. When the need was for truth to spread light in his life, darkness engulfed his childhood. When the need was for truth to teach him the teachings of life, isolation is what truth gifted him. When the need was for truth to explain to him the beauty of emotions and relationships, frustration, anger, fury are the emotions truth introduced and a broken marriage is the relationship truth showcased.
It wasn't until the real meaning of truth arrived in his life, that he was introduced to the true definition of truth. Her truth was very different to the truth he had witnessed all his life. Her truth was faith in humanity. Her truth was trust in relationships. Her truth was the experience of emotions from the heart. Her truth never caused darkness, it always radiated light. Positive light. Her truth made him experience emotions he had never felt before. Passion, love, intensity, affection, admiration. Her truth made him perceive the beauty of relationships. Her truth taught him how to understand, hope and trust. Her truth made him believe in himself. Her truth made him believe in her. And soon, she became the biggest truth of his life. The only truth of his existence.Nandini.
On this journey, many lies have been shared and many truths have been shared. He has been concealing all his truths from her and showcasing only the lies. But now it's time for the lie to conceal a truth. He has been bluffing to himself throughout this journey, but now it's time for someone else to hear these bluffs.
"Don't worry about Nandini...I'm just playing with her". The biggest lie of Manik's existence. The only way to protect her from getting played again.
"I can't expose Nandini to Nyonika one more time."
A new battle has been added to the list, Another shield of protection is being wrapped around Nandini. His time to lie is over. His time to protect the truth has just begun.
Truths and Lies are all part of life. All part of the game. But some truths shall always remain truthful.
1. Not all guys are insensitive. Apart from Cabir, Chacha, Rishab, the college watchman, there is another name which will always remain on top of the list. Manik Malhotra.
2. Her simplicity is the most beautiful thing about her. His love is no attraction, no infatuation. It's just love. Pure love. He loves her and will always continue to love her for just being herself. For being Nandini. His Nandini.
3. True friendship can never be forgotten nor broken. Today he just came to the doorsteps to check on his friends. To support them in this campaign. Tomorrow he will rightfully return with open arms, demanding a group hug like old days.
4. He and only he has the sole right to drop her home every night. No questions need to be even asked.
5. When he refers to the "thing", he only and mind you entirely is referring to the idea of a kiss. And when he claims he isn't going down without getting one, he means every bit of it. And so whether that kiss be on the forehead, on the nose, on the cheeks, on the hands or on the fingers. A kiss is a kiss.
6. Relationships don't follow give and take ideologies. Love gives birth to a relationship. Trust, faith and understanding nurture it. Hope, patience and respect become the reason for its growth.
7. Forgiveness isn't something that can be demanded. It must be earned. Nyonika is adamant with her whining as to why she hasn't been forgiven yet. The truth is, she has never craved this forgiveness. Nandini was forgiven way before Manik even realised. Why? Her need for forgiveness had overpowered her want for it. Her need for him was far more than her want for him.
