Interesting post 😊

Mr. Darcy brought me here. Mr. Darcy and Manik in one line, and favourably compared!

For me, the only aspect of MaNan or Manik that can be compared with Mr. Darcy or P&P is the respective relationship dynamics. Quite similar in the aspect that these characters actually listen to each other. They never forgo the words of each other, instead those words are recorded however subconsciously, and the resulting change is depicted faithfully around the next turn in their story.

Take Mr. Darcy for instance, when EB rejected his proposal saying "Had you behaved in a more gentleman like manner" << FD took it to heart, it needled him but he listened and made a sincere effort to improve on that impression of her's and vice versa for EB. When she heard of Mr. Darcy's compassion and his selflessness, his devotion and honourable attitude towards his family or servants alike, she didn't let her ego come in between and didn't take long to revise her opinions about him and his self-conceit.

MaNan are similarly open minded about their conflicts as well. Manik, however hot-headed and volatile he is, listens to what Nandu says. Be it about his inner demons, Cabir's job, Cabir's love life, now Mukti's love life or internal conflicts of Fab5, Manik actually heeds Nandini's words. Nandini also internalises everything that concerns Manik and doesn't let her ego rule her head.

So the drift of their respective love stories actually make sense with each step in their progress. That's the only outright similarity that Manik and Mr. Darcy have. Because when you come down to character traits, they are both so multidimensional to make it near impossible to compare except for some instances.

Can't comment on Edward Cullen as this looks like his fan club and I am the opposite of that 😆

yeah i agree maybe thats the only thing that match ...but its also the thing which happens in almost every love story...that the male lead always or mostly only listens to the female lead...

but character wise its not at all comparable...coz their characters are poles apart...

and yeah its good..you didnt commented anything on edward cullen...coz i dont know about anyone else but i cant listen any single word...no...any SINGLE ALPHABET against him...

dont mind sahar...no hard feelings for you just my opinion😉

most people with long posts are very deep and their ideas
are not constrained so it becomes longish.😊

right now am more angry with myself for reacting to that
post as i hate my impulsive nature.

i am too attached to edward perhaps..
darcy was arrogant in the beginning.if you remember even while
proposing he said though elizabeth is inferior to him in rank in status
in social status yet he is helplessly in love and wishes to marry her.
to which my equally arrogant virtuous and self respect loving
extra ordinary elizabeth bennet replied am sorry to cause you
such grave turmoil as to propose to such an inferior like me
but it was unintentional i wish to assure it that.😆

later darcy rose above his arrogant pride and elizabeth bowed down
to her prejudice and they became epic lovers correcting their shortcomings.😊

these confession scene between darcy and elizabeth is a epitome.
am never tired of it.if you notice most characters are loosely based
from p&p.yes some degrades it.some betters it.but the source is same.

just my pov 😊

lastly am never angry if anyone contradicts me.coz if i am wrong
in my thinking and if you can make me understand that i would rather
credit and treasure you for showing me a better perceptive through your
eyes.🤗

oh...yeah now i remember...in the beginning he said something like that...
i forgot coz its such a long time since i watched that movie...and yeah the name was also given- pride and prejudice...coz darcy rose from his pride and elizabeth from her prejudice... i agree of the confession scene also...told you na loonnggg time since i watched it...
i did love that movie but not as much as i love the twilight saga...
i do know that you wont get angry by reading the contradictory posts...coz not everyone has same pov...
take care...

its ok to say what you feel in the forum...as someone intelligent once said to me that "you should write for what you feel for" in the forum only...
and its okay if somebody would compare edward then i would also have reacted impulsively...

so for that...same pinch...😵

Apologies for being a first time commenter but I never hide 😆 I keep my posts mostly to Niti AT only because I suffer from frequent slip of tongue syndrome, better to restrict my posts then 😳
