"Manik music is the most important thing in your life for you. Apne gusse ki vajeh se usse kharaab mat karo"... How true would have these words been if Manik Malhotra wouldn't have met Nandini Moorthi. How precise sense would these words have made if she wouldn't have taught him the meaning of life, beauty of dreams and warmth of smiles. How non-arguable would the meanings of these words be if he hadn't fallen in love. But times have changed, priorities have changed, his life's aim has changed. Once upon a time, he was merely a college sweetheart, now he's a complete lover. There was a time when he played music through his guitar, his music now originates from his heart. There was a time when his songs were for his fans, now there is only one song in his life; Nandini. Music may be the most important part of his life, but it's merely a part. She...she is his life. The entire reason for his existence. He wakes up every morning with confidence that he'll see her today and sleeps every night with the assurance that there is a morning after every night. She's the reasons for his madness at times and the calm relief for the same madness. His care is for her, his anger is for her. His annoyance is for her, his forgiveness is for her. His tortures are for her and his antidote is for her. She already knows his love is for her... now it's time to learn that his music is for her too.

He had once said that he could die for her. And so when his heartbeats belong to her, what is the worth of music in his life when the one who he plays for isn't in his life. Let me share with you all a little secret today. This fusion concert will not just be any concert. It will be the concert that will witness the victory of true love. It will be a moment when it will proved to all those witnessing, that no battle is too hard of a fight when never-dying love resides withing your hearts. We will not just witness two talented musicians, showcasing their talent in front of an audience... we will be the spectators to the reunion of two heartbeats, two hearts, two minims, two souls. And when they finally reunite, it will be like magic. No longer will there be two of anything, it will only be the echo of one heartbeat, the existence of one heart, the reality of one soul and the playing of a single semibreve.

How can we forget? How can she forget that he's the same Manik who so unselfishly ran out of the auditorium room on the day of his album release. He's the same Manik who sacrificed his future, his friends' future just to be able to see his lady love in front of his eyes unharmed and safe. He's the same Manik who continuously was trying her number amidst of his performance that very same day, with no fear whatsoever of being caught and disqualified. She might not be able to figure out him just yet... but the time isn't far when she'll realise that it is this same music which will become the reason of their homecoming.

Manik had quite a mind-dominating start to his morning today. He had agreed to be a part of this concert with the prime mission of "Torture Nandini Moorthi Part 2" but it wasn't soon after when his guitar played its tune and the lyrics flowed from his heart that his mind seemed to have disappeared from within him altogether.

Yeh Dooriyan
Yeh Dooriyan
Yeh Dooriyan

In Raahon Ki Dooriyan
Nigahon Ki Dooriyan
Hum Rahon Ki Dooriyan
Fanah Ho Sabhi Dooriyan

As he sung, the pain of separation returned. As he played, the urge to hold her in his arms once again began to weaken him.

Kyun Koi Paas Hai
Door Hai Kyun Koi
Jaane Na Koi Yahan Pe

Aa Raha Paas Ya Door Mein Ja Raha
Janu Na Mein Hoon Kahan Pe

Yeh Dooriyan

He closed his eyes in the hope to find the answers from within his inner-consciousness. The answers that the mind had banned him from asking her. It was almost as if he was searching for these answers in his music. His music, his passion, his love; that had cheated him, and he was almost begging for an answer to his miseries now. Should he listen to his heart or to his mind? What if he welcomes her in his life again and she breaks his trust again? But then what if he let's her go and loses every chance of having her back? He was demanding for the answers to all his distresses. Just one sign... he needed just one sign from his music, his passion, his love that she wouldn't abandon him again... she wouldn't distrust him again... she wouldn't darken his world again. And then there came a point where he got some answers. That heart-melting look of his returned as agony washed through him again as his eyes landed upon her crying face. Her tears were his answers. Her tears once again brought tears in his eyes. Her pain was his answer. Her pain was once again felt by him. Her loneliness was his answer. Her state of loneliness once again overshadowed his need of revenge. Her longing for his was his answer. Her longing of his presence in her life healed the heart a little bit more today. But then when she couldn't live without him, why did she abandon him in the first place? Why did she let the darkness obscure her ability to shine forever for him? Why did she inflict him with such pain that she wasn't able to bear herself. Some questions remain. But that's the beauty of love. Love teaches us to be patient. It teaches us to love unconditionally despite the flaws and faults of our partner. Love teaches us to forgive. It teaches us to drown and then rise again.
This may not be the time for their love to rise just yet... but at least it has begun to surface. It has begun to accept that some moments of pain are necessary in order to earn a lifetime of smiles. Their time will surely come when they will learn to trust again, forgive again, start afresh again.

Now I can absolutely not fullstop and post this write up without mentioning the precap. He claims he can't live with her. But he also accepts that he can't live without her. She is elated at the thought that there is still hope. But instantly he warns her to not keep her hopes high. But she remains confident. "Bring it on Manik. Dekhtein hain keh kaun jeet-ta hai. Mera hope ya tumhari hatred" And so the battle returns... but this time his mind has challenged her heart. In the heat of the moment however, he forgot that she has an advantage. She rules his heart. He may have the memories of her painful betrayal to avenge his revenge but she has the possession of two hearts to fight this battle with; hers and his. And with his heart, she also has his love to prove her own love. His love will infact be her biggest strength in convincing him that it's only him who has the right to rule her own heart.

So as they say guys... let the battle begin! And may the best man win. The only exception in this case will be that it will neither be his win or her win. They will win!

Well here i am. first i was thinking of combining all the comments we have running into one but then i realized how massively long it would get...lol

The sassy, badass Manik Maltorta is back ! since his heart ruled his actions last night with the ice cream love. His mind gave hia heart a hard scolding so today..With this brand new day, the monster is back in form ready to torture ! Despite the fact that Nyo has told Manik to do this 'fusion concert'. Manik is just acting out, acting the role he is suppose to be playing. His sassy, cocky attitude was so typical Manik Maltorta and I have kinda missed him.
Manik and Pandit. I love it when two stubborn people clash and Pandit brings out Manik's sassiness so this is a treat for me. I definitely want more of these two. And Pandit challenges Manik and Manik Maltorta loves challenges. And he respects his music, he doesn't take it lightly and hence he tells Pandit to judge him solely on his music merit. Hope Pandit makes both Manik and Nandini's music careers flourish
And Manik's expressions when Pandit is telling Nyo was such a treat and his dialogues..lol. Loved my boy today.

Cue the role reversal people ! Nandini is doing the pulling and locking them into the class to talk. I don't care what Manik acts like. She totally threw a curve ball at him. There has been too much of uproar on the forum about nandini not respecting his music and such. On the contary, she knows how talented he really is and she doesn't want him to ruin it in the fit of his anger. That is her love for him ! He wants to protect his music, he wants to protect him from himself !

"Manik music is the most important thing in your life for you. Apne gusse ki vajeh se usse kharaab mat karo"...
And you said it. she couldn't be more wrong about it about it 'now'. Music may have been a vital part of his life but since she came, she has turned his life upside down. She should have realized that she is his life now, he already proved it by walking out of his potential album performance. And somewhere the mistrust still lures, she doesn't fully trust him and that's why she believes that he joined the fusion concert just to 'torture' her. She should realize how his previous attempts have already failed making him more miserable and frustrated.
You have a beautiful voice..lovely he says. He may seem like he was mocking her but in reality he couldn't bear another moment with her with his mask on. He couldn't bear listening to her beautiful voice full of concern and false accusations and not want to draw her into his arms. So he walks away first and Manik never walks away from Nandini, ever. Not that i can remember. He spends the last second possible with her, even during the Valentine disaster, He tells her to walk away because he simply doesn't have the strength to walk away from her.

Random moment i loved. The Veena moment. When Manik walks in and he is mesmerized by her and then plugs it to get back to normal..

The guitar strap scene may have seemed a little childish on Nandu's part but there was a deep meaning associated with it for me. Because when Manik so rightfully dives into his girl with the familiarity only a boyfriend would have knowing his girlfriend carries safety pins. I found the scene to quite adorable because i felt like that was the point of it. And since when have Manan been mature that way ?

We are really sadist sisters because even today my beautiful moment is Manik's look to Nandini, one look full of love and pain. Angst wrapped in love. One of Parth's greatest acting talent is his lip syncing. He sings the lyrics like dialogues, emoting the perfect emotions and expressions. Oh the love. The song sequence was rather short but it served the purpose. Manik's heart was back on top !

He is not just singing the lyrics, he is asking her. Kyun Koi Paas Hai..Door Hai Kyun Koi
..Jaane Na Koi Yahan Pe
When he sings, the pain is back, the love is pouring out through his lyrics. The feelings..all of them..were reawakened in his heart, The memories overwhelmed him so he closes his eyes to compose himself but the urge to see her overpowers. And that moment, he opens his eyes and doesn't see her right away. A glimpse of panic. Then sees her in tears and as he sings, he weeps with her..Yeh Dooriyan. This separation. This distance from you is tearing at my heart, it breaking me into pieces. Her tears are his undoing and he knows ! He is hurting just as much. Yeh Dooriyan. This seperation. This distance is from him is painful for her too, she is so lonely without him. And she misses him too !
I am so tempted to bold your entire section on the song sequence because it is all so beautiful. You analyzed them perfectly and wrote it beautifully.

Precap. I am tempted to on about it but something tells me to wait for the entire scene so I shall go on about it on Monday but a huge declaration of Manik's part: "I can't live with you but I can't live without you." Looks like another battle of the mind and heart. Monday will be a treat for us.

Loads of love,

Very well said... yes Maanik has changd so much... :) He doesn't even realize it... Earlier he sang because that was his escape for the Dark World... That was one place where he could hide from the darkness which he is so scared off... But now... He has nandini to do that ... So he can simply sing like *normal* people do... Like the purest music, he is singing with his heart and that just makes him better artist... So to me Maanik wants to be in this concert without doubt for nandini and for music.. May be he will torture her.. May be he wont.. But he just cant be not part of this concert... So when Niyo asked if you hate pandit more or nandini more and choose wisely there was no doubt in his mind what to do...

When he entered the principal's office with his *manik malhotra attitude*, i clapped :) because Manik malhotra is arrogant person who wont bend infront of anyone.. So expecting anything else would be foolish... Just loved the whole convo between him - pandit and Niyo and that had to be highlight of the episode for me.. (apart from the duriyaan song :)) The way pandit put his foot down infront of niyo and how maanik didnt waste opportunity pointing that out to niyo and having fun on her behalf was well written, well acted... Expressions these 3 actors gave, the dialog delivery .. Just mind blowing..

Maanik being Maanik, he got around getting pandit to judge him for his music and then select.. And when after the song he told him in terms *judge the music and not Maanik Malhotra* that dialog did something in my heart.. Isnt that he wants from Nandini too.. To not judge Maanik Malhotra that everyone knows.. Judge his music - which is Maanik - her maanik and trust him.. Understand him.. Believe in him.. He is worthy..

completely agree and appreciate you saying this... I really believe just like the polar opposite genres of music fusing together to create one memorable piece these two polar opposite people would know how to belong together... Just like music needs riyaz, needs the time to understand and make that exceptional piece of art, these two need time and effort and that's what this concert preparation will provide.. During this journey they will get to know each other as never before.. They will learn to accommodate each other, they will learn to accept each other as it is... Just like their music...

Completely agree with this one... The maanik that negotiated with Pandit, that taunted Niyo on finding her own match was speaking through his mind... But the song.. It was heart wrenching and it came straight from his heart... Wow kudos to whoever selects the music for this show.. Noone has ever impressed me as these people have... When the lyrics came *nigahonki dooriyaan* and the way Nandini and Maanik looked at each other, my heart cried with theirs.. And then when Maanik sang *aa raha paas me ya jaa raha door mein* how true... Isnt that exactly what his struggle is... The fight between his heart and mind.. To love or hate? Yesterday he couldnt express himself and had trouble finding right words.. Today music did it for him..

👏👏👏 The song was so heart wrenching to watch... It brought me to tears... Accompanied with perfect lyrics, and that soul touching music it just touched me deeply.. As i said i really appreciate song selectors and whoever comes up with this a lot.. Absolutely loved loved loved it... It was exactly what you said .. :)

Very true... This battle may get ugly and their might be lots of tears .. but in the end they are going to conquer it all.. Nothing can stop them being together.. And this time it would be epic.. Just like the concert princi has promised..

Btw, did you feel Nandini's attitude out of character today.. I felt like why would she be angry/unhappy about Maanik joining the concert.. If he is her partner they get to spend more time and that gives her time to prove their love.. make him believe.. He may not make it easy but isnt he being around needed to do what she is set out for..

This is the beauty of this forum when may fans are going crazy / confused about Nandini's out of character behavior here comes a post that attempts to explain... so kudos to you for that...👏👏👏
I won't say I m fully convinced about Nandini's today's act of cutting the strap and implying Manik can't handle the fusion concert... but after reading your post... i feel i can give her a benefit of doubt...😊

Shall reply to you soon my bus buddy ;)
Okays so finallyyy I can return to my manan world.

Thanks again as usual for mentioning and describing such moments that I never got down to doing. Lol I've started believing we're like two halves of the same heart too now ;) haha

I'm glad you brought up the scene of panditji, nyonijka and Manik. To some extent did you realise his adamancy fior being selected for the fusion concert. I mean for a second I thought Nyonika would back out and would just let it go when the panditiji said that she has no right to chose the second performer for the concert but our Manik baby didn't give up. He fought for that position because his so-called "hatred" for Nandini was far more than his annoyance with the panditji. The hatred that tells the story of his love. As they say, we tend to hate only those who we love unconditionally. His mind's motif may be to moment after moment, make Nandini realise of just how much pain he's capable of inflicting. But his inner-consciousness yearned for something else altogether. His nights had already become so dark, daunting and lonely. He couldn't stand the thought of having to spend his days without her presence either. He needed her around to stay calm. He needed her around to stay strong and sane He needed her around to stay alive. "Why can't I keep myself away from her?" "Why can't I send her away from my life?" "What's stopping me from moving on?" ... The concert is merely just an excuse to avoid answering such questions from the heart. His heart overpowers his mind, he knows that. But he's stubborn. Just like her.

Good job partner for providing the reasons of Nandini's reluctance! Well said. Nandini can tolerate pain on herself, but she would never tolerate if Manik willingly or unwillingly hurts his music. He may not know himself, but she knows exactly the importance and value of music in his life. I had wirtten in some other post to that I'll rewrite here that she knows without music, he'll just be a hollow soul. Music is the reason he is able to feel emotions... it gave birth to his emotions for Nandini. It made him realise that no he can be Manik too. Just Manik. And so Nandini would never want that in his frustration for her, he ends up inflicting pain onto himself.

Oh man how I just love those moments when he voices something to nandini in his rather mocking and sarcastic tone and she stands there in assurance that he in fact means the opposite. Our innocent Nandini doesn't realise that over time, our Manik has learned how to mask the meanings of his words too. He has a habit of wrapping his truthful words in the gift-wrap of lies and taunts and then he gifts them to her. It's so he doesn't instigate a further war-like atmosphere inside him; between the mind and the heart.

That was such a beautiful scene too when he thanks her before he even fetches out the safety pins out of her bag. And the beauty of the scene was because unknowingly his mind just experienced another taste of defeat. He unknowingly told us the audience and Nandini herself that he knows her quite deeply himself. When she stood there confused as to what possibly could be in her bag that would be of assistance to him, he confidently searched the bag knowing that if she is the cause of the problem, the solution lays with her as well. That understanding he has of her was simply adoring.

Dudee... you described that song sequence so thoroughly and with such precision yourself. You're absolutely right that though they didn't show, but as soon as he closed his eyes, the memories of their togetherness just flooded his eyes and his pain escalated to a new level. That transition of his panicking look when he doesn't find her straight away upon opening his eyes, to the relief his heart feels when he spots her in the corner of the room was so heartfelt. But then he spotted his tears and he once again went through a different intensity of pain altogether. The pain of knowing that he was the reason of those tears. He was the reason her heart wept. He was the reason her soul now stood alone. Just how godly and self-sacrificing his love his for her that upon seeing her pain, his heart tends to forget the miseries that he himself is experiencing.

You know another thing I was thinking. So as we all know that the new battle we will soon be witnessing in the show has been titled "Hope vs Hatred". Where Nandini's hope has openly challenged Manik's hatred. But if we think about it, isn't it Manik himself who has given her the ray of hope? Isn't it he who has ignited that confidence once again that she is capable of winning his heart over? Isn't it he who has allowed her to re-step into his life, his bubble of space; in order to convince him that she is the one for him and he is the one for her. He has already bowed down to her in defeat before this battle has even begun. He has already started to trust her again. He has trusted her on that she won't let his hatred outwin her love. He has trusted her that she will be successful in healing his broken heart. He has trusted her that she will be the reason he listens to his heart one day. It's a rather complicated thought, I know.. just like our Manik but it's one which proves that he had never really stopped loving her, trusting her.

Sorry Sorry Sorry for the lateness of this response! Hope you've been well otherwise :)

Speak soon!

Oh wow! so yeh another essay is soon on its way to add to our manan madness! lol Stay tuned! :P

Alrightey so here i am...Firstley, yep definitely agree with you on there. That scene between nyonika, panditji and manik was needed because it portrayed his to some extent he wanted to convince nyonika that he hates Nandini from the bottom of his heart and would go to any extent to torture. In a sense, it was to keep nyonika's hatred away from Nandini because if she became suspicious about the fact that Manik will never stop loving Nandini, she would've come up with a bigger plan to ruin her. So he made it look like that his desperation for the fusion concert was only to make Nandini's life hell.

I really liked the line you said about how music needs riyaaz, it's important Manan interact and as I've mentioned before "communicate" with each other more, for a deeper understanding of each other and their relationship. They both know they love each other but how much? That is still to be understood and revealed. Rehearsing together, playing music together, performing together will all becomes a beautiful medium for them to be able to express their love through.

Dudee absolutely! Like they manage to select such songs which word to word, retell the story of Manan's hearts. The song selection simply uplift the intensity of Manan to such an extent that it all starts to seem 110% real. And the way Parth emotes and enacts every song sequence is so mesmerizing. His acting is simply too convincing and from no aspect would we be able to say that no he's not a trained musician.

The words yesterday depicted and spoke out Manik's hearts emotions yesterday. And the fact that Nandini cried, was because she understood his struggle. She understood what he was trying to imply to her on the night he came to his home. She understood the confusingly painful inner-conscious that resides within him. And to some extend she broke down from inside in those moments too. I feel that while he believed he was the reason for her loneliness, her agony and her helplessness, she knew it was her fault that she was lonely, in pain and in a helpless state. She thought of herself to be guilty here for not only filling his pain but making her own life so pain-filled.

As for your bit about Nandini's rather odd behaviour... I would answer yes and no haha. The thing is that honestly speaking, I was a little disappointed myself when she questions Manik about his decision of joining the fusion concert. I mean we all thought she would be happy with this idea of having him around for the whole day as it would make her battle somewhat easier. But to our surprise, she behaved in a rather unexpected manner. It took me quite some time to figure out her state of mind. Just why was she pushing him away when he wanted to be around her for once? And then it all clicked. When it comes to manik's music... She can't take any risks. He might have promised her to always protect her but she's promised herself to always protect his music. She's the same Nandini who sacrificed her love when he was way too close from losing his hand. She's the same Nandini who happily resigned from the manager's post when her Romeo's career was in danger. She's the same Nandini who kept her lips sealed before his album performance, just so he could perform at his best. He is her biggest aspiration, and she knows his music is his biggest passion. She can't bear the absence of music from his life. She knows it would leave him matter-less. Just a quiet, hollow soul. His music is the root of his emotions. Nandini knew that if by chance he ends up hurting his music, his faith in life, in love would further shatter and then it would be absolutely impossible to sew those broken pieces together.
As we've said before, no one knows Manik the way Nandini does. When his mind takes over, he loses the capability to think rationally. But Nandini can't allow him to deal with his music with such carelessness. If he has promised to protect her, she has vowed to protect his love, her love, their love. The love that originates from his music.

Okay so i saw the 13 seconds of the KY2 promo..lol

I wanted to restraint from analyzing and predicting but lol..let's face it. I have to spit out what i am thinking so i can actually sleep peacefully.

Manik has already played the jealous boy role...much earlier in their relationship. He never liked Nandini's friendship with Dhruv, and he had said it then too: " I don't like it ! ", He may have not said that he is insanely jealous of his best friend's closeness with the girl he is hopelessly attracted to for reasons he hadn't figured out. But yes, he was jealous. And Manik is a possessive lad to begin with so jealously is almost part of his persona. He doesn't like to share the people he loves, or in case, supposedly 'hates'

Honestly, at this point of time, A jealously track with Manik seems so unnecessary. Manik had playfully asked his Nandu during Soha track " Jealous ? I can't believe you are still jealous." He was willing to prove that she has no reason to be jealous. And in return, she told him that she has no reason to be insecure. She may be jealous but not insecure.

So my point is that Manan are already so secure about their relationship, in their importance in other person's life that it seems useless. Even apart, they are still each other's better half. And like i said, even in pain, they are companions. They don't want or need anyone else.
I had really hoped that Pandit would serve another purpose, a positive purpose. That of nurturing and flourishing Nandini and maybe even Manik's music careers.

but let's see where this all leads...we got all weekend to predict..lol

Dude definitely... when I see him singing, I don't know how Nandini feels but I swear my heart always skips a beat lol His passion and intensity is just to die for. Same here... I absolutely can't wait for next week as we will see more of his frustration, more of his love. more of his adoration for her.
Oh wow... such a perfect quote for these two. And we will see this quote in action next week when we see Nandini fighting Manik's hatred with her and his love.

Thanks once again for your kind words! <3

Haha I know what you mean, it's so mesmerising to watch him perform. He puts his all into his performances and that's why it's always a treat to watch him pour his everything into each song he sings!!
I'm just hoping for some light episodes next week with their nok-jhoks back!
Absolutely, this is nandini's biggest battle yet and I know she's going to win this not for her or for him but for them ❤️

Okies so watched the episode aaand I liked and disliked it at the same time. I guess maybe because it hasn't been shown in the actual episode yet, I'm not fully sure where this plot is heading. However, I totally agree that a jealousy track should be like the last resort CV's should be considering at this stage. We've seen they both love each other, in fact they've both even confessed it... but just not to each other. So really bringing in the idea of a love triangle is going to mess things up even more. I really want that it should be more of a slow and steady realisation of love between them not an abrupt one just because Manik feels jealous seeing Nandini with another guy. I rather have they fight and argue and quarrel and in between all these scenes their love is seen growing and Manik's heart is seen healing.
Exactly! I mean even though they are treading separately at the moment, their journeys are the same. Even with broken hearts, they feel the connection amidst them and so there is hardly a need of a third person to help them in this realization and confession mission. I hope Pandit's role in this whole track just should be to polish these two as one of the finest musicians through which they can start afresh. Since he's obviously older than the students, it will be pleasant to see him playing the role of just not a music teacher but kind of mentor for the two who will help shape their individual personalities and make them realise that when they play music together, it's as if the whole world stops just to listen to them. Then we should hopefully be able to see the professional aspect of Mana's life too and how they tread ahead in their careers.

He did seem to look angry towards the end of the promo and honestly, I hope that anger he feels is his anger for himself. Like a self-realisation that how dare he push her away from himself? Sort of the fear of losing her, Nandini moving on from his life and him feeling of being left alone perhaps? It's almost like an image of what his mind has been telling him to do all this time and now he's scared. Also I think maybe the precap scene they showed after friday's episode which was about their challenge; will be shown after this scene because it makes sense that he might realise that no he can't simply let go of her altogether. It's pretty much impossible for him. And hence, that's the reason he says those words to her that he can't live without her, igniting the ray of hope in her heart.

It's kind of a confusing response and I guess we'll be able to get a clearer picture of where this track is heading soon.

Another beautifully penned post 👏
The highlight of the episode was Manik singing Yeh Dooriyaan ... ...his anguish, hurt, anger, disappointment and struggle was heart wrenching and brilliantly portrayed !

Parth Samthaan lip sync's amazingly well and strums the guitar realistically👏...making Manik perfectly believable as the lead singer and guitarist !
