While her innocence is all light , there is darkness in her too. Her guilt about failing others , her demons from that night. Her berating herself for not protecting the people she loves . Taking all the blame. Thats her darkness . She glowed because he made her feel special, acknowledged what she does for him and others.

Mehr - Toxic is a big word. Cannot be established based on one situation only. Manik and Nandini brings much more to each other than taking. They still have issues to work on and that's a process.
We've definitely seen Manik opening up, very slowly albeit, but taking steps toward communication, about retelling his past, and more. The progress was halted after this incident and he reverted back because of all the hurt and the pain.

Manik has to show her his vulnerabilities, completely, but more than that he has to understand the responsibilities of a relationship. He can't make all the decisions whenever he likes, he cannot cut off every single time. This track should handle that in a very tasteful manner, it better do that.

^^ One cannot change a person but that individual can choose to change himself . With time, experiences and life does that. Nandini is not changing Manik. He himself wants to be normal and his struggle is for himself and against himself , just Nandini is the trigger.

True, unless one does not wish to change, it's inevitable. With that said, can he really change for her?
