Chapter 10

Manik and Nandini's hot makeout session gets disturbed due to the phone's ring.This was the last thing which Manik wntd to happen while he was having the best time with her star and hence it made him super angry and he yells at Nandini thinking its her cell which is ringing as usual on a wrong time.

Manik:Oh god..nandini..not again..tum apna phone silent pe kyu nai rakhti..it always disturbs us at a wrong time..

Nandini looks here and there and sees her phone on table.She angrily pushes Manik asides and walks towards the table and picks it up and shows it too Manik.

Nandini:Listen...see here..my phone is off only..its ur phone which is ringing..

Manik suddenly realises tht it is indeed his phone which is ringing.He gives a sorry look to Nandini and goes to find it.He looks around and finds his phone inside his jacket which is lying on the floor.He goes and picks it up and finds Nyonika calling him.He answers with an irritated tone.

Manik:Wat happen now...phone kyu kiya

Nyonika:Wat do u mean by..kyu phone kiya...tum itne jaldi mai aise halat mai vaha se nikal gaye the..do u knw hw much I ws worried abt u..

Manik was in no mood to fight so he jst stays silent.

Nyonika:Nw are u gona speak up and tell me tht have u reached safely or not..

Finally Manik speaks up with a less rude tone.

Manik:Ya..i have reached.. and anyway roads itna bhi kuch jyada kharab nai tha jitna aap soch rahi thi..anyway bye I have some work..

With this he discnnects the call in between before Nyonika could say anything further.She then realises tht he had cut so she puts the phone down and leaves a sigh of relief thanking god tht he is safe and sound.

Manik cuts the call and turns towards Nandini with a baby face and holds his ears and apologises for yelling at her.

Manik:Baby..m really sorry..muje aise bina dekhe tumpe chillana nai chahiye tha..pls pls dnt be angry na..

Seeing his cute baby face,Nandini's heart melts and she gives in to him and smiles.

Nandini:Fyn..m nt angry with u..bt pls nxt time se aise bina reason dnt shout at me otherwise even I won't spare u then.

Saying this,she goes and hugs him.Manik too hugs her and they both sits on bed still hugging eachother.Suddenly Manik gets naughty again and strts caressing her hand delicately and then whispers near her ear,"Let's continue from where we left."Nandini starts blushing hearing this.Bt suddenly she gets up and starts shouting...

Nandini:Wait a sec..jst tell me 1^st wat are u doing here...tumne to bola tha ke roads block hai so u won't come 2day..to fir..

Manik too gets up and tries to calm her and makes her sit again.

Manik:First u relax and sit...actually...vo na I was missing u a lot so I couldn't stay there anymore..so I came driving back..

Nandini:What..tum bas aise hi aagaye..how can u be so careless Manik...vahape landslide hua tha do u undrstnd tht..roads kitne dangerous hogaye honge..aur tum aisi situation mai aagaye...agar tumhe kuch ho jata to..

Manik tries to pacify her.

Manik:Oh..comeon Nandini jst chill ok..muje kuch nai hua hai..see m all good and really vo roads itne bhi kuch dangerous nai the kyuki jab mai nikla tha tabtak almost sara mess clean hogaya tha..so nw pls dnt get so hyper..and jst smile ok..

After seeing tht he is actually fine and fit...she gets calm and gives a faint smile to him.

In a restaurant fab4 were jst chilling out having some food and drinks.Suddenly Cabir remembers about Nandini and thinks tht she might be alone and he shd be around her incase something happens as he had promised Manik tht he wud look after her.So he tries to make a reason to make everyone come with him there.

Cabir:Hey guys...dnt u think we are forgetting something

Dhruv:Forgetting wat..

Everyone looks at Cabir with a confused look.

Cabir:Nandini.

Mukti:Oh ya right...we jst forgot her..aaj hi to use grup mai laya aur itne jaldi ham usse bhul bhi gaye...oh damn

Alya:Seriously guys..hamlog kitne dumb aur careless hai..so ab kya kare..

Cabir:See we remembered nw na..so nw let's do a thing and jst go to her place na..

Dhruv:Bt Cabir..uski family kya sochegi if we went at this time there.

Alya:No Dhruv..actually now I remembered..kal usne muje bola tha ke her family is out of town from few days and she is living alone nw..

Mukti:Ok..then its decided we'll go to her place nw as we can't let her be alone na..

Everyone agrees and decides to leave.They decides to tak some drinks and few colddrink for Nandini and some food too along.

At home Manik and Nandini were still hugging each other and were discussing abt how much they missed each other in this last 2 days.Manik then asks her wat all had happen back here in these days behind his back then suddenly Nandini remembers tht she had to tell him abt tht Harshad incidnt as she can't hide anything from him.So gathering all courage she hesitantly starts speaking.

Nandini:Vo..actaually..manik muje tumhe kuch batana hai..

Seeing her expressions,Manik gets restless and asks her to say it fast.

Manik:Kya hua..bolo na..tumhara face dekhkar aisa lag raha hai..tht u again created some mess..

Nandini gets scared seeing Manik's expression bt still decides to jst blurt it out anyhow.

Nandini:Vo actually Manik..remember ystrday I tld u abt tht Navya proposal thing..well vo maine tumhe puri story nai batayi thi..Actually after Harshad insulted Navya na...I went and slappd him infront of everyone and insultd him too..

Manik jst got up suddenly with anger and started shouting.

Manik:I knew it..i jst knew it..muje kal hi doubt ho raha tha wen u said no..i ws thinkin this only tht hw can my nandini stay quiet while seeing al this things happenng infrnt of her..Kyu Nandini..hamesha kyu tumhe dusro ke problems mai padna hota hai..i mean y u cant jst stay away from others trouble.

Nandini goes near him and tries to calm him down and says.

Nandini:Manik..how u expect me to stay silent when tht Harshad was insulting my frnd infront of whole college...agar Navya ke jagah tumhare frnds hote to kya tum chup rehte nai na..i knw tum bhi jakar usse ladte na..so maine bhi to vahi kiya..

She gives him a puppy look and he too understands tht she was right at her place.He calms down and takes her hand in his own and spokes softly.

Manik:I knw tumne jo kiya vo apni frnd ko defend karne ke liye kiya and tht was right too from ur part bt atleast mere vapas aane ka wait karti and fir usse jhagadti na..u knw na vo kitna kamina hai..agar gusse mai vo tumhe hurt karta to I wud have atleast been present there na to protect u and agar mere yaha nahi hone par vo tumse revenge lene ke liye kuch karta aur tumhe kuch ho jata to...then I wud hav seriously killed tht basta*d..

Understanding his point was correct too at some point she smiles and then says.

Nandini:I agree tum mere liye concern ho..bt seriously..manik..do u really think..mai tumhare vapas aane ka wait karti and let him insult Navya till tht time..u knw maine ussi time stand liya and thtsy Navya felt a bit better bt stil she left this city forever then jst think agar mai usse tab support nai karti to depression mai aakar pata nai vo khudke sath kya kar deti..

Manik:What..navya left mumbai forever..

Nandini with a sad face:Ya..aaj subah hi vo apne hometown vapas chali gayi bt she was looking a bit happy tht time.

Manik understands everything and decides to end the topic here.He goes and cups her face and makes her look into his eyes and softly says

Manik:U knw wat Nandini..jst forget evrythin..and listen to me..u knw m really proud of u...I have never met anyone as brave and selfless like u..tum khud ke bare mai na sochkar pehle dusro ke liye sochti ho..and m really glad tht u have chosen me as ur partner..so sry for bashing u before and trust me m always gona protect u no matter wat happens and will always be with u..

Nandini smiles and says:I know u are always gona protect me and thtsy I have this courage with me to do anything..aur tum kal ke bare mai jyada tension mat lo..u knw yesterday Cabir saved me wen Harshad was coming to hurt me.

Manik's eyes get widened wen he heard Harshad going to hurt Nandini.

Manik:What..he actually tried to hurt u..usse to mai choodunga nai..

Bt before he coud say anything further,Nandini says

Nandini:Listen..isse pehle u do something jst first hear me out..wen Harshad tried to come and hurt me..tab Cabir came and protected me exactly how u asked him to do..and not only Cabir infact Mukti,Alya and Dhruv too supported me and bashed Harshad badly.

Listening fab5 supporting to Nandini,Manik gets happy.He jst hugs her then thinking tht due to his frnds his love is safe.

Outside Nandini's home,Harshad comes out of grasses and thinks,"So Ms.Nandini Moorthy is staying alone nowadays huh..wat abt I give u a surprise visit ha Nandini..vaise bhi tumse bahut sara hisaab barabar karna hai."He doent knw tht Manik is inside too,he jst got this info frm her neighbours tht her family is away and she is living alone so he thinks to take revenge at this tim bt as soon as he reaches near the door,he hears a car coming to her place.He suddenly goes and hides in some bushes and peeps from it and see fab4 coming out of the car.He hits the ground with his fist and thinks,"What the hell..muje laga Nandini se badla lene ke liye ye time accha hoga as fab5 won't be around to save her bt shitt it looks like ye log to college ke bahar bhi isse akela nai chodte.."He sees them going near the door and ringing the bell.He thinks to wait for sometime there and after they'll leave then only he'll execute his plans.

Manik and Nandini were inside having some cozy moments and Nandini was going to tell Manik abt her new frndship with fab4.

Nandini:U knw wat Manik..the best thing tht happnd in these few days is tht..

Before she could complete her sentence,they hear the bell ring.Both gets worried thinking who might be at this time as chacha-chachi were not gona come now.

Manik:Is tym par kaun hoga..u wait here..i'l go and check.

Nandini stops him thinking tht might be her neighbours wud have come so seein Manik at this time alone at her place would raise questions.

Nandini:No..tum mat jao..i'l go and open..agar neighbours hue tho it won't be good if they see u alone with me..u do a thing jst look frm upstairs while I'l open the door ok..

Manik agrees.Nandini goes down to open the door while Manik stays up only and watches from there.Nandini then opens the door and gets shocked seeing fab4 standing infront of her.She then peeps inside and looks Manik standing up and gets worried thinking wat if fab5 sees Manik with her now...
