I agree because that's what my experience has taught me. This is exactly why I could relate to MaNan so acutely today. The spoiler had me all ready with fangs out, I just kept thinking if Manik does what the spoiler says then it would be bad because how can Nandini love, let alone feel guilt for such a one as Manik when he is ready to disown her and drop all faith in her at even at the slightest hint of distrust from her?But CVs and writers did so well to deliver Manik's approach to it all so beautifully. Manik's frame of mind and his words clearly showed that his confidence in nandini and her in her integrity is intact. He is hurting because of not seeing the same confidence in Nandu's eyes for himself.Regarding his inability to listen or pay heed to Nandu's protestations of Nyonika and Cabir today, that's where I believe the instinct factors in. Which again helped me to empathise with Manik, because this quality of his to fixate himself with a fat word and zone out everything else, in the intensity and heat of the moment is the instinct which as much as defines him in a way and this will never change totally. Might alter but never change.Examples -Hospital scene of Nandini walking
away >> his fixation with Nandu's WILLINGLY walking awayThe fab5 photo shoot, dressing room sequence >>> his fixation with the word friend and hence lashing out at
Nandu. And now this...Such beautifull consistency to characters, irrespective of the layering to them.
Ikr! Even I was so tensed after spoiler because that behavior would have simply eliminate every reason..I am so glad that he behaved as per his basic instincts. He does pick one factor and makes it center of universe but he does understand later. That's what Nandini has done to him! He does fixate himself with one thing but then does look around later. All those examples had expansions.. He did follow his instinct and then turn around.. But yes! That involves Nandini's efforts! Life is a circle.. :P
