.ass files allows for more formatting ... so I personally prefer them over .srt ... HD 1080p Japanese shows have .ass subs usually.

And like Suha said ... hats off to ur dedication. I once joined DSS for Rooftop Prince team ... gave up within weeks cuz it was sooo tedious ... regardless of my fluency. ..and for someone who doesn't speak Hindi very well toh its all the more daunting !

Yeah I don't speak Hindi at all, I speak Bangla with my parents (well mix with English) - but learnt Hindi through watching stuff :P

My parents are from Bangladesh but we all live in England atm :P

I'm fluent in English, Bangla (sort of), I can understand Urdu and Hindi (again sort of) and basic French and learning Korean :D

DSS = Dark Smurf Subs ... they sub the fastest and most number of shows cuz the show is HUGE.

QC = Quality Control ... in fansub world, it means having someone who speaks the language fluently to check your subs for accuracy.
