manik and nandini are soulmates...they understand each other, love each other, hurt each other and eventually will come back to each other because they are lost without the other.
manik never knew love or happiness before nandini...his friendship with the fab5 was him being more of a protector for them,it was very unbalanced but after nandini emerged in his life, we could see a different manik...a manik who wasn't hesitant to share his deepest thoughts n secrets, who he could lean on for comfort, advice n companionship.
For nandini, it was her being able to become a carefree college girl...she could drop all her worries n live the moment just as she wanted to...she didn't have to keep up the mask of being strong, stoic n resilient, she could show her vulnerable side to him n not be judged for it.
that's how pure and deep their bond is...they complete each other, make each other's lives a little happier.
Right now, both of them will be hurting, both of them will be in pain coz it causes manik even greater pain to hurt her the way he did...he might try to be cruel for all he can but he himself is just as shattered...he cannot back off now, he is in too deep and he doesn't realize that .
It will be impossible for them to stay away...they may play juvenile pranks, share angry glances and bitter silences and throw caustic words at each other but as much as they try to, they won't be able to ignore or avoid each other. They need one another for their survival in the most basic way.
Therefore, they will come back, maybe after a lot of angst, maybe a little ruffled, a little wary at first but they will come back for sure and this time their bond much stronger.

I love the way you put it. They just HAVE to find their way back to each other. Simply because they NEED to.

What happened today was GHATIYA.

But the thing is ... love is a very sadistic emotion in itself. When You fall in love ... you FALL. And falling hurts. And the higher up u are , in your zone of Euphoria, the more it hurts.

Usually when we are hurt, our first instinct is to sever ties. And run. But Nandini , like I said in my reply to Shreya, has it in herself to be the bigger person.

And lets face it . Abhi toh bass Baba ji ne HARKAT ki hai. Do you REALLY think he'll be sitting at home, sippin' cosmo and twiddling his thumb while Dhruv 'romances' the girl he loves SO possessively ?

What he did today was a vile transgression ... but it is with usually with our dearest ones we end up crossing lines. It is a curse that comes with familiarity. The price one pays for emotional availability.

He wanted Nandini to be REPULSED by him, so that its a CLEAN sever ... and knowing how much she liked him ... he had to completely undo all that. I am hating the fact that he is doing all this for someone like Dhruv ... and I am NOT saying that I forgive him. All I am saying is that I UNDERSTAND him. We all know Manik is a bi-polar socio/psychopath. Everything about him is extreme. Think of it in this way. Hum padosi ke bache ko nahin daant te. Hum apne bache pe bhadaas nikaalte hai. The guy loves Nandini, and owes her no formality. She is like ghar ki daal. But Dhruv is like BAHARWALA. Which is why Manik felt the need to sacrifice his AND Nandu's happiness for the sake of Dhruv's . Its a very sick logic, but think from Manik's POV, and you'll see it makes sense in a twisty way. As it is uss bande ke upar ke maalay mein BOHOT ghotaala hai. Perhaps this was the very reason he went up to Nandini and said 'I don't like it' instead of asking Dhruv to stay away from her. KYA DOSTI HAIN! Fab 5 and ManRuv has to be the worst bonding I've ever seen on screen (I seriously need to read a HP book tonight itself- just to make myself feel better). In fact, there's not a single bonding shown in this show which I can root for (yes, not even ManBir).

As for Nandini ... just as Manik is a abnormally volatile and certified nutjob, Nandu is no ordinary girl . She has this REALLY REALLY big heart. And has it in her to show compassion and understanding where most ppl wouldn't bat an eyelid. Maybe because she has the power to forgive so magnanimously, the stars made it so that her pain is just that profound. With great power, comes great responsibilities. And in this lifetime she is responsible for that deranged lunatic of a guy she loves. Can't choose who we love 😆. I don't even have words for her. What should I say? Her zombie-like look on the stage, her voice cracking, her not being able to sing- I sooo wanted Voldy to come over there, roll up the sleeves of his cloak and cry 'Crucio' with his wand pointed at the very deranged lunatic! 😡 😡 😡

And as much as I want to bash Manik ... he is my Baba ... I just have this innate urge to protect him .. no matter what ... its VG and his chipmunks that are pissing me off. My Laddooo's heart needn't be broken like THIS !

Writers k baare mein main apna munh naa hi kholun toh behtar hoga, I might just end up earning a notification. -_-

Who should I blame? The character or the writers?

That's SOME character-assassination I've witnessed in a long, LONG while!

Right now, all I can say is that- NOTHING less than a very, very good redemption track from the makers or watch while the viewers quit one by one!

Shelly, I think he is very much into his character and so is Nandini. They both have to think from a new perspective in life, and thats when they will come back together.

She will definitely rise. She is a born fighter. Yes, it is tough right now but everything will fall into its own place sooner than later. The pieces of her innocence she just lost will replenish itself soon enough. The young love that'd yet had the chance to fully blossom...may have withered, but she will learn to love again. The happiness that only now carved its way into her heart will once again be found. The tears she bleeds now will dry up. Nandini will nonapologetically move forward and regain her confidence.

As for Manik Malhotra. He crossed the limit today. I am sorry but what he did to this beautiful woman whom he claims to be suffering for was just ridiculously demeaning. He wanted to break her heart--he did that. But, he did not have to poke fun at their memories, at what their shared, at the promises they made. He turned something so beautiful into an ugly nightmare for her. Did he have the right to decide what's right for her? No, he did not. He should have told her the truth and let her make her own choice. Yes, he does have the right to walk away if he wants to be a sacrificial friend for Dhruv, however that will be his sole decision. He had no right to take away Nandini's right to choose. She is not a lamb that can be brought up to the slaughter to be demeaned anyone who wishes to. What's the point of his self-inflicted pain on himself, when he cannot even fight to stay with her? What's the point of this love if it is so weak that he is giving to another for safekeeping.

On another note, I am sorry but love is not what Manik Malhotra did today. He didn't just walk away, he broke her. He broke her hope, her spirit, and her will. I don't know how Manik will redeem himself. That remains to be seen. Although I can safely say, he has a lot of growing up to do, if he thinks just because he left her in tethers, she will now allow Dhruv to mend her back together.

Yaar you see ... the best thing about young love is its resilience. Young love weathers, young love bounces back. When you get older, you are already jaded by the big bad world and all the eeevil in it ... but when you are young, you still have that zest for life ... that willingness to give life every chance it asks for. Which is why I say when I say what I say. I have hope for these two.

And most of all, they WILL love again, albeit two very different versions of each other.

Just that, this time their story will not be the one of dreams, but the requiem of them.

Rafz how do you even pull up serious and comical stuffs so well..👏
Thank you for this 🤗, its the only thing that makes me a little hopeful on manan now, makes me feel better after this weird sadistic episode.

I could understand what he did why he did even when he said Mission Nandini Murthy accomplished, but the mimicking, kiss part, pasting sticker that was way too below the belt, he stooped too low, i never expected they would make him do this..
Her hurt her bad, and he inflicted a lot of pain on himself too with this..

I honestly dont get how they are gonna redeem him, make Nandu trust him again, make Manik forgive himself for what he did to her today.. But they need to clear the uncalled for mess that they have created 😡 lostboy better do some damage control
