"Love is a better master than duty."
This episode bears the testimony of these words. Love is leading these confused, dazzled souls in not only discovering themselves but setting them on a journey of a lifetime and beyond.

Raghav-Cabir
I have always jostled with them because the power imbalance has never made sense to me . It is my sense of morality , so all I needed was them alone and to see the domesticity of their relationship. I was in tithers when I saw Raghav snubbing him, but when it was Cabir controlling their ship- I knew , I so knew why they make sense . Their fate scares, me , I want them to forever remain in the bubble yet the more rational part of me wants them to be free of all prejudices and proclaim their love for each other. Raghav is the note that calms Cabir, gives him a reason and an objective. His peace. While R needs his Cabir to feel happiness again. The beauty of them together, the aesthetic grace of their togetherness makes me cry ...cry because of our own socially created bogus morality. They will overcome, the path will be filled with stones and nails, but they must and will navigate. Because they have created - "The love".

Dhruv-Alya
Dhruv is adorable . He hardly smiles, feels emotions - so I like their scenes together not because they are setting stones for some romantic notion but because these two act their age together. The lightness , the fun and the sparkle that Dhruv shows is so endearing. He is crushing and Alya is making him accept it. The rebranding is for his own good- he needs to drop down his fears, his insecurities and sail away from the overtly protective walls that Manik, fab5 and probably his parents build around him. His love/crush for Nandu will teach him to love himself .

Manik
It was always needling us that he is very selective about his goodness but I kind of never bought it. Because in the very first episode , he saved fireflies of then stranger Nandini. If he was so emotionally disconnected, he would have never bothered about it. It puzzled me further when I started knowing fab5 and him in particular, as to why these seemingly decent broken kids would go to such depths of sadist pleasure. I understood bullying for them was a way to guard against others- why we will know later. But it gave them purpose , a mechanism and a facade behind which they covered their vulnerabilities. Probably why in retrospection we had Alya guilty about goons. Or Mukti realizing what Navya is going through.

Still it was Manik - the ring leader, who was the face of fab5 . The buck always ended with him. So it is kind of special knowing that he always had a back-up protection plan for his victims because that is what makes him Manik , just Manik. He understands responsibility, there is always a method - fab5 connected by gprs -It's little details like these which showed that he was the fall guy, the protector of fab5 and the reason why he is the one they seek. He listens to them, gives them the strength and encourages them, while humouring their pranking, he made sure the lines were never crossed.

This makes sense why Dhruv also was ok with fab5 pranks, his silence was because he knew Manik will save even his victims. It is now , I understand , Manik's anger at Dhruv for believing the goon story, because here is a man who happily pretended to be the evil incarnate with only Dhruv knowing his reality.
Does it absolve fab5 or Manik from the bribes- Nope . They would need to learn to give those tactics up , if they want to mature. They need to realize that as a group more so . They have projected their fears and vulnerabilities in the pranks, you see a suicidal Mukti popping pills , bitterly heart-broken has taken to crushing hearts and guys because that numbs her. Cabir took to filming because it provided him an opportunity to laugh at a world who shun his reality. For Dhruv , it was the silence that accompanied the bullying, it spoke of kinship. Alya - a girl who dreams of fairytales took to it because this was her make-believe kingdom . While for Manik, it was a way to keep his family ,safe , harmless and together. Sigh- the damaged souls. They need to let it go, remove the chinks in themselves before this group realization will happen. I don't know if anyone noticed but as Cabir is realizing the inevitability of his life and the reality attached to it, we don't see him goofing , mocking or shooting videos . Sub-consciously, it has started.

Nandu- She stood out and became his obsession because she threatened the format of fab5. Manik saw how she was getting at them, the invisible bubble that protected his fab5 was cracking because of her. And she was doing it by being just him albeit more openly. She was being the protector as well. This held his fascination and since then it's not been the same. She has become his protector too. Somewhere she has started giving him the comfort, peace and care, which the silent walls of his house never provided. He is tired soul and she is his balm. She chucks honesty, truth , scolds him and speak to the "real Manik" not fab5 leader, protector , saviour , monster but him .
For her, he is the unknown . He is unclogging her own vulnerabilities. He gives her unbelievable power, a feeling of conquering every summit and security. She has always sought him, always -for her hate, anger, companionship and now this.

She can talk to him for forever and he will remember each word .

He has done things which are immoderate, he will be the same ever but with her , he is just he. A man who cares and loves-tenderly, completely and desperately, she has told him to keep her hamesha, because she will shine for him, always. He has found his eternity in her.

Regarding Raghav-Cabir, I don't even know what to say anymore. That line about-Zinda jala denge made me shiver because it was so true. I love how the makers are showing them spending time together and doing casual things like every regular couple. I absolutely adore the RaghBir track and I just want to see more of them, their issues, their affection. There is always this looming shadow of sadness over their present happiness. So heartbreaking these two. I am amazed how Cabir deals with all of these at this age and doesn't fall apart. No wonder Fab-5 need each other so much because all of them are so lost and confused.
Now that you say it, I sorta do see why Harshad and Shahid dressed up. I was annoyed that Harshad was trying to lure Navya back but in any case, what he did was rather sweet. Yes, like everyone said, everyone has their own story and their own multi-dimensions in this show. No wonder it's so hard to really understand the characters.
Like you mentioned, I love how they remembered Dhruv hanging around those places and used it a major plot device. However, while I understand Manik better now, I am torn about Dhruv. Manik, I have always knows is capable of cruelty but also disarming gentleness. Every dark and light side creates him. Manik is not going to be the ideal, unrealistic hero of dreams and the day he started becoming one, I will be out of the show.
Dhruv-Alya cute as always, but since I have been rooting for them together, this slow build-up is frustrating me. My question concerning Dhruv and those bullying incidents was he was always the guy who watched the last moments of struggle before they gave up. Not Manik or others. It was always him. That makes me really uncomfortable. Does that mean that he is as dispassionate and distant as he appears? Because in each case, he waited for the very last minute or even later to save the person. Also, would he have done the same if Manik didn't order him to do so?

Annie - THAT changes everything for me, the way I look at the character of Dhruv especially. Would he have come himself to help those who fall prey to Fab5? Would he go against Fab5 to do so?
He first met Nandani because of Manik. Sure, he continued to remain friends with her on & off, but wasnt it usually Nandani who went after him because she always thought he would come to help her, be her saviour...turns out that her Saviour was the one protecting her always...Please Nandu, just remember this bit from this night. Manik=Saviour.

@bold THIS...It really makes me feel let down. Would he have ever done anything the way he did if not for Manik and Fab5. His actions were not governed by him. This is such a let down. Manik was the only saviour Nandu always had from day 1. And this makes me ship these two harder.😳❤️

Hai na? It literally was a huge twist which projected the entire Dhruv-Nandini build-up onto Manik. Basically, till now, every time Dhruv-Nandini met or had a moment were thanks to Manik. This is a major twist IMO. Manik is slowly becoming the centre of the narrative. Now that the first rush of the Manik-Nandini scenes are over, I am thinking back to this revelation and I cannot believe how important this is. This, like you perfectly put, changes Dhruv's character and Nandini's perspective on Dhuv as well.

Lovely post as usual...😊
I too liked Dhruv today...finally we got to see him in a different light...but yes what's going to happen to him in the future is worrisome...

Alya - wish she had actually helped Dhruv as a true friend w/o any hidden motive...

Harshad/Shahid looked adorable - it was nice to c them being a gud frnd to Navya...

Raghbir - its nice tht the CVs r showing how cruel our society can be to those whose choices are different...waiting to c how their story will go forward...

Manik - Redemption day for him...it will tk time but slowly complete realisation will set in wrt his actions...

Nandini - what a girl...amazing...just loved everything about her...

As far as I remember the person who takes d pill does not recollect anything that happened...if tht is the case..it will be really sad cos i want Nandini to remember this night with Manik...ohhh..how i wish Manik had captured these moments like Cabir does usually...

Neways Kudos to Niti and Parth...and the CVs...😊

@Dee, Zoha, Annie
Love you all 🤗 Thank you so much for pointing that out! Although it makes me think differently about Dhruv, I'm incredibly happy to have it change my feelings about MaNan. Manik was her true savior, as you've all pointed it out. I used to somewhat ship DhruNi as well, but now I'm a full-fledged MaNan shipper, and that confession changed my feelings so damn much. It makes me uncomfortable about Dhruv's character, but glad on shipping MaNan.

Nandu, baby, you better remember this! It is a MUST!

But Dhruv did try to help nandu's brother on his own but harshad jumped in...also when nandu fell in the pool again he jumped in to save her...he even went to nandu's house to give the chip and told her tht she was good...so on my part i am still confused wrt Dhruv's intentions/motives/character

Also since nandu is high on a pill i guess she is not going to remember any of this...so she will never know wht transpired b/w her and Manik unless Manik tells her...whch will not happen...so dont knw how all this will be handled...

Totally! No wonder Manik was all angrified once he saw Dhruv and Nandani's friendship growing. Remember that hand-holding scene? Dhruv's actions were not his, they were of Manik's...but once, Nandani initiated the hand of friendship to Dhruv, thinking "Yeh ladka acha hain, patani nahi kyun un loko ke saath rehta hain"...Manik's balance was shift - it wasn't something he had planned. But he knew that from Dhruv's side, it was more than just friendship for Nandani. That is something that any human would not want, but Id say he still controlled himself because he cares for Dhruv as a friend, as a brother. Would Dhruv do the same for Manik?

Manik is the centre of it all, and that only adds to how strong this character has been built by the writers. I love love love how they've connected these dots. So impressed!

What I really want to know now is how Nandani will feel about this. I just hope she remembers this - because it will entirely shift the plot of the show right now. Forget those steps Alya taugh Dhruv 😆
