i believe there is a certain kind of inconsistency in the growth of the main characters or maybe it could b my lack of understanding which is causing me to think so..😕.i will b glad if u guys could make me clear this misunderstanding...

My main confusion is with the character of manik...I have been following this show from the start and honestly i don't understand exactly at what point did the monster inside him start getting defeated by the angel manik...coz in the intially episode it it very clearly shown that manik is a heartless person...the fab5 including manik did not really care that a guy was going to commit suicide becoz of them...they locked up navya in the bin for a whole day, she could have died of suffocation but he was hardly affected by that either...than right in front of his eyes nandu's brother was drowning and she was screaming for help rather than trying to help her , he was annoyed at the fact that harsahd disturbed their fun session...i have seen grey male protagonists in other shows as well but none were so evil that they did not care about a child dying...I know the fab5 do have their share of family troubles but honestly taking someone life or driving them to suicide is not called bullying ,its considered murder...and a person who is not affected by such an act in not a grey character but a complete psycho in my sight...Even when he discovers that nandu's brother is suffering from some kind of disease (this he discovers right after episode when nanadini punches him coz i remember him mentioning this in the car when he is taking nandani to the party) he does not feel any kind of guilt for what he did to him at his house...he just uses this fact to scare nandu that if she does not follow his orders her brother's treatment might just stop... AND THAN ONE FINE DAY MANIK MALHOTRA DISCOVERS THAT NANADU'S BROTHER IS SUFFERING FROM THE SAME PROBLEM AS DHRUV AND THE ANGEL INSIDE HIM AWAKENS 😕...HE IS SUDDENLY SOOO CONCERNED ABOUT RISHAB THAT HE DOES NOT EVEN LET A LITTLE SPLASH OF WATER GET TO HIM... now i would like to think that nandani has some role to play in this sudden change but as far as i remember this scene takes place in the episode 19 by than nothing special had happen between them other than nandu becoming his spot and him discovering that dhruv and rishab suffer from the same problem...sooo basically the idea i am getting is that if rishab had been suffering from cancer, leprosy or some other fatal disease it would not have really affected manik just becoz his problem is similar to that of druv it becomes a matter of concern for manik malhotra...PLZ DON'T GET ME WRONG I LUV MANAN SCENES AND THEIR CHEMISTRY BUT THIS SUDDEN CHANGE WHICH IS SHOWN IN THE INITIAL EPISODEs BeCOMES A BIT DIFFICULT FOR ME TO DIGEST ...😊

cant agree more..u spoke my mind..
Manik malhotra n fab5 were not grey initially but were complete psycho,criminals...
they forced Shahid to commit succide n was making a video of the same..
they locked navya in a bin n gave her death punishment..
they tortured nandu to no extent..threw her ill bro to water..
.i have seen grey male protagonists in other shows as well but none were so evil that they did not care about a child dying.
they were inhumans..monsters in true sense
Now they are all acting clean all of a sudden..how did this transition occur,when,n why..
ps:even i am a MaNan fan(just due to their chemistry)

THANKS for agreeing with me yaar...there r certain loopholes in their character development...from being a complete villain manik has suddenly turned into nandu's guardian angel which is very difficult to understand...the things that he has done in the past r too big to b forgotten honestly speaking if this was happening in the real world they did b locked away in a jail.

I would say with regards to him feeling for Rishabh is when he sees it with his own eyes, it resonates within him because for him Dhruv suffers the same way, he knew Rishabh had an illness but it never connected with Dhruv, seeing Rishabh suffer similarly, the same symptoms, the same way to Dhruv woke up the concern he feels with Dhruv.

Also if you remember the old age home incident, he along with Nandu both rushed to help the old lady who was suffering the same incident as Rishabh and Dhruv.

As for his character progression, it has been very slow, even now, he hasnt really let go of his Monster persona, just that Nandini and Rishabh have made a way into his heart and he cant but help care for them. With people, he cares about for example Dhruv and Fab5, he shows limitless love and Nandini and Rishabh have made their way into his heart slowly.

I wish the CV'S would have been more careful about the extent to which they showed the evil side of the fab5 or in the manner they showed their character development especially manik's.

-> during nandani's entry in mumbai somthing falling from her hand and manik helped her.

-> while sahil was on the terrace to commite sucide, dhruv was also present there. If not navya and nandani then dhruv would save him.

-> dhruvs entry manik sitting outside the door to make him relaxed.

-> manik not liking alya's remembering all the dates, still tolreating it.

-> saving mukti from harshad

and if u observe keenly you will fide him playing pranks.but u'll also see the angel side of him

Yes the fact that he feels sorry for rishab only becoz he suffers from the same problem as dhruv bugs me , the idea which any viewer will get seeing this is that had rishab suffered from any other fatal disease it would have been irrelevant for manik...here is guy who enjoys seeing a child drowning right in front of his eyes .He takes pride in the fact that a particular individual has been driven to commit suicide becoz of his and his gang's doing ...basically his doings r similar to that of a criminal ...the CV'S have failed to show their vision clearly .

The old age home incident is another example of this lack of coordination coz he rushes to help an old lady who is having an attack but he feels nothing for a girl who is screaming and crying after being locked away in a bin...Though i do agree with u that the full development has not taken place and the soft corner for rishab is becoz somehow he and nandu have made a place inside manik's heart

The thought that dhruv would have helped shail and stopped him from committing suicide is just an idea it is not shown that he would...there r no certainties to this idea also manik is not shown thinking along these lines...yes i do agree that manik is always there for the members of fab5 but when it comes to other individuals he does not feel any emotions...saving mukti or tolerating alya r just example of his love for fab5 members which is undoubtedly selfless...but letting rishab drown,locking navya up in a bin r clearly examples of being heartless

I see the whole show a rehabilitation and reformation of the Fab5 courtesy Nandini, these guys all of them in Fab5 have done things that are wrong. Each and everyone is culpable, and the only reason they have got away with it, is that no one dared oppose them, for example Shahid all he needed to do was lodge a police complaint of distributing po*nographic material against the Fab5 and then and there their wings would have been clipped. But the whole point of the story, is Nandini bringing about a change in behaviour and mindset.

And I do all members of the Fab5 can be reformed, its not that they dont show acts of kindness, just that their bad deeds are more visible and in your face.
