For PMs for my further works..PM-->"BeyondWordsPM"

|Shayad Is Janam Mein|

.M u l a q a t.

|Ho Na Ho|

O n e S h o t.

He placed the reports on the table, near her hospital bed and looked into her serene face. Her otherwise radiant face look pale in comparison. He placed his hand on her face to feel the heat of her body. The warmth of his touch startled her sleepy form and she opened her eyes, only to face with heartbreaking tears welling up in his big brown eyes. She slowly sat up as he helped her arrange the pillows behind her.

Peering into her eyes, he tied a black thread around her wrist and kept a little paper, filled with creases in her hand.

She read it and smiled, remembering how he had proposed to her for marriage some twenty six years back. A scribble on her notebook was his interpretation of a romantic proposal. She chuckled at the naivety of his thoughts back in times. How different and easy things were?

The little piece of happiness never left her side and she had safeguarded the paper with all of her life. The paper was crumbled each time they fought but she couldn't find it in her to tear it.

She opened it carefully and placed it on her near her heart, savoring the emotion for eternity.

"So are you going to move on after I leave?" She asked him, her eyes still closed.

"Of course. I have Khushi with me. Did you forget?" He said trying hard to maintain the smile.

She smiled at him and pushed the bangs of her hair behind her ear. She looked at her reports as he hid them behind him.

"Don't go. I will be living dead if you leave me. Why are you breaking your promise, Nandini?"

She choked at his words. His fingers reached for her face and felt tingly sensation as they met with her soft, cold skin.

"I will have to go. There are too little chances for me to gain consciousness after I am operated. But I know, you will be fine. You have Khushi, remember? "

She tried hard to resist her tears, but she was betrayed. A tear rolled down her cheeks regardless.

Lag Jaa Gale Ke Phir Yeh Haseen Raat Ho Na Ho

Shayad Phir Iss Janam Mein

Mulaqat Ho Na Ho

He wiped her tears, making her breathless. He gathered her in his arms, while she sobbed silently, breaking his heart just a little bit more. A moment passed before he could muster up the courage to separate her. He stood up, cupped her face in one hand, trying to console her, while his other hand entwined his fingers with her's as he kissed her knuckles in assurance.

They were helpless. He was denial regarding their next meet, while she was certain that this was the last night they would have to be together.

Maybe they would never meet again after in this birth.

Humko Mili Hai Aaj Yeh, Ghariyan Naseeb Se

Jee Bhar Ke Dekh Lijiye

Humko Kareeb Se

She looked into his wet eyes. They always had thanked their stars they had met. It was mere coincidence how they had collided with each other one fine evening and that evening, every equation that they had shared, changed.

He admired her beauty. She looked as gorgeous as she looked thirty three years back, when her big black eyes had worked like a magnet and he was drawn to it like an iron. He looked at her and she looked right back at him, without blinking even once.

Phir Aapke Naseeb Mein Yeh Baat Ho Na Ho

Shayad Phir Is Janam Mein

Mulaqat Ho Na Ho

He touched wet her face, to feel her. Pulling her hair strands away, he sat near her.

Today, he was cursing his stars as she had to go. She had to go away from him. He couldn't stop her. It was her decision to part from him and his life.

She had decided to end her life. He couldn't do anything but wait.

Wait for his next life, when they would meet again. Maybe in another world, just the way they had met the other day.

Paas Aaiye Ke Hum Nahi Aayenge Nahi Aayenge Baar Baar

Baahe Gale Mein Daalke

Hum Roley Zaar Zaar

How thirty three years had rolled by was indeed flabbergasting. It all felt so fresh and new, as if it had happened just yesterday.

He pulled her close to him again and they cried together. Cried for them, their happiness and their togetherness. They let every emotion flow as they reminded each other the moments of joy and agony they had lived. Together.

They had shared every bit of their life and for him to imagine his life without her seemed surreal. The thought in itself choked him to tears. He couldn't do it. He didn't have it in him to do it. Heck, he didn't want to live an empty life without the sound of her laughter, her guidance and just her. He couldn't do it.

She held him tight and he held her tighter. The tears seemed endless. Of pain and of joy. Of love and of the last moments they were spending.

As they were in each other's arms, the nurse entered and asked him to go out as they were to take her to the operation theater.

He hesitated but agreed within sometime.

Aakho Se Phir Yeh Pyaar Ki Barsaat Ho Na Ho

Shayad Phir Iss Janam Mein

Mulaqat Ho Na Ho

He saw her enter the theater and the authorities made her lay on the stretcher while he was allowed to meet her for the last time.

He went in, as she looked away.

Involuntarily, she moved further on to the left side as she indicated with her eyes for him to lie down next to her. He obliged, of course but not before taking out her iPod from his pocket. Placing one earphone in her ear and the other one in his, he played the music which she had been listening to since the past three weeks.

She looked up, as he hummed the tune while making her comfortable in his arms.

She held him tight, not wanting to leave, while he caressed her face, promising her to be happy and keep Khushi happy. They touched each other for the last time and hugged again.

They wished that the song never ended, but it was inevitable. He quietly left her, while she tried to be brave and gave him the crumpled paper she had been holding all this while.

"Give this to me when we meet next. I promise, I will not fight anymore and so this won't be creased any further." She smiled that sad smile of her's that broke his heart all the more. He tried to smiled back and exited quietly.

As the door closed, he waved and she smiled, waiting to close her eyes forever.

Five months had passed. He returned from the graveyard where he had gone to adorn his Nandini with orchids. They were her favorites.

He entered the mansion and paced towards Khushi's room. He saw her misbehaving with the servants and the nurse.

He went and sat near her bed, while she looked away.

"Why are you so exasperated? D'you not like the food?" He asked politely.

"I want to see Mamma! Why has she not met me since my operation? Why is travelling so important for her? Is it more important than me, Dad?" She asked, her eyes as beautiful as her mother.

"She will never come back Khu. She has left us." He was unable to hold back his emotions any longer.

"You both have planned to part ways? Why? Divorce is not a solution dad. Wait, I will talk to her. Give me her China's office number quickly." She took her mobile read to dial the number.

"Khu. You know what had happened to you, right?"

"Of course I know. I know it was very severe and I wasn't able to open my eyes for two whole months. But can we discuss that later? We should call her right now." She was impatient by now.

"Khu. Listen to me first, we can do that later. You had to be operated within a definte time period if we wanted you to live. We tried our best, but didn't get the perfect match for your heart replacement. We could just figure out one person and you had to be treated as soon as possible. She couldn't see you suffering. She is your mother after all. The heart in you is your mother's"

His words froze.

"She had taken a promise from me. She wanted her twenty one year old gorgeous daughter to be happy and keep me happy. No one can take her place, Khu, but we have to live. You have to live for her. She wanted you to live your life to the fullest, fulfilling all your little dreams. She wanted to meet you one last time, and she did meet you when you were in the hospital, sleeping.

You need not feel guilty. She did everything as a mother and I will make sure I be a good father, as good as she was, is and shall be."

Saying so, he hugged his daughter as hard as he could. She was cold, but he knew affection and memories would heal her like they were healing him, even if was taking time.

They went to the churchyard together, carrying orchids, eight years hence. On her wedding day. Khushi and Armaan. They lay the flowers on Nandini's grave and muttered prayers. Khushi rested her head on his shoulder as they sat near the stone were the name Nandini' was en-carved.

Looking at them, he smiled and looked up in the sky and muttered, "Your daughter is the Best Singer of the Nation, she fulfilled your dreams. She did what we both couldn't even if we aspired to become, due to certain circumstances, but she did it. Do you know who that man is? Armaan. The best man I have ever seen. But he isn't better than me" he winked and went towards the grave of his love. His daughter and son-in-law went to sit inside the car, while he lit a candle and placed it near the grave and smiled.

"You are the best mother one could ever get"

A Fiction By Iptisha

Please be kind enough to point out my mistakes

A/N: Okay I know this was just...( >.< )! Anyway, I just liked one thing about this piece, which is that the hero is anonymous. For MaNan-ians, he is Manik and for the rest, he is Dhruv. That's the only thing I liked anyway!

Thanks for reading! :)

I am not crying! There is just something in my eyes and I am desperately trying to get it out! You know I have been crying a lot for the past two days right? This is not settled 🤔

Paas Aaiye Ke Hum Nahi Aayenge Nahi Aayenge Baar Baar

Baahe Gale Mein Daalke

Hum Roley Zaar Zaar

^^ This are my favourite lyrics of the entire song! I have a reason, but me not telling. (This is for making me cry🥺)

Anyways! There are two kinds of love that you have so poignantly portrayed in this OS. The undying and platonic love and the other being the love a parent holds for their offspring; endless and selfless.

I can't imagine the emotional pain someone like "Manik" has to go through in such a situation. The feeling of being torn between his wife; his love and his daughter; the sole symbol of their love.

Your love for realism is thorough in this OS Iptisha! I can't even! My words are failing to make any sense at the moment! I have always learned to expect the unexpected when it comes to the writer that is Iptisha! I had always associated the song with separation, but never to this extent! You never fail to amaze me😳

The bit where both the characters are touching each other's faces, was so heartbreaking! I couldn't even see the screen properly! Aaah! Babaaa! Yeh tune kya kiya!

Broke my tear ki tanki🤪... And Orchids (you remembered?)

I cried towards the end as well! When Khushi-Arnab went to the grave-ward! I don't think I can write more! At subtle attempt at humor with the "I am better"... Kill me now! Please!

I'd feel like a fool if I praised your writing skills, because lets face it, they are BeyondWords. But I am a fool, so I will say it anyways! You think there is not enough emotion in here? Any more and I will be the next Niagara falls! And your concepts and writing just keeps getting better with every shot baba!

This is for you:

Reserve.
Edit. You girls write so effin brilliantly! Pari and You I mean.
I am glad I got your PM, otherwise I would have missed out on this perfection.
Angst angst everywhere, can I wish for anything more? :D
My favorite, the song you used, Lag ja gale. AAAHHH! You synchronized the lyrics with their emotions, my god was that brilliant or what? :O

^^This particular bit, moistened my eyes. You're not forgiven for making me cry. Nahi! 😳
Its blissful yet heart wrenching. When you know the most important person in this world is going to leave you forever and you can't do anything to not let that happen. That feeling you experience, that helplessness, that frustration, it all came out so well. Brilliant Iptisha. Brilliant.

P.S. Were you an IPK fan?
P.P.S. Mujhe Di na bula...please. 😆

Ok. I literally have tears streaming down my face!!!
where, when, how on earth did you learn to write so beautifully?!?
honestly, I have no words to describe this piece of writing. all I can say is that it hit me write in the feels 😭😭
you showed us beautifully a mother's undying love for her child & nicely done with the whole Arnav and kushi concept 👏
as much as I hate reading these type of stories (cos it makes me all depressed), I love reading them at the same time.

I just can't right now. even though manik is fictional character, I can't even imagine how he's feeling 😭
thank you for writing/sharing this piece 😊 and do write more!
and thank you for the PM lovely! 😛
...gonna stop blabbering now and get some tissues 😭

Res!
Unres

Iptisha, you will kill me one day, I swear, and I won't be complaining. I just... wow. I am seriously speechless and I'm not kidding. I type one sentence and then I erase it again because no compliment is enough for this piece of work. It's just so... I can't find the right words since nothing can beat what you've just posted. Just... read between the lines.

And please don't get me started on how talented you are as a writer because I won't be able to stop.

Miss BeyondWords I will be the judge of this! You just deserve a bone crushing hug! And a truck load of nutella ke dubbe! I remember those crazy times where we literally used used to say the same thing at the same time (about singers actually). And our adda
This is making me all nostalgic! You know it's weird how close we have become over the past few months BaBa! I know neither of us are too emotional on the front, but both are puppies at heart! And I am glad I have found a perfect sister and friend in you! Why am I even writing all this🤪
