Being Gay, which according to me has nothing to do with being wrong or right, yet our country never accepts this difference in opinion and preference.
Cabir...A well thought character, too screwed to be appreciated actually!
For Me Cabir-Mukti is the only scene where I actually find Cabir good enough!
But one thing I would ask!
If he is a gay, then why did he check out the woman at the puja (at Alya's place) ?
Was that to just deviate Mukti? :o
But I'm glad that MTV India have taken up this issue!
This isn't the first show taking up this issue, but indeed the first soap to show a homosexual man in a relationship! Commendable job CVs! :D

Just taking up the issue or giving some lime light may help the trp ratings of show...
i am waiting for the way they are going to portray the track,
Their mistake for approaching such a sensitive issue in a negative way in future tracks, may give a bad impact on teenagers who may still don't have a stable knowledge or their own point of view about this issue.
having a wide no.of teenage viewers including me,and being a youth oriented show in popular channel ,i have high hopes from them and future tracks...

^^Agree! If the issue is not handled sensibly, then it might cause a havoc!
We teenagers anyway are too sensitive and get misguided easily!

Honestly the aunty scene time , Cabir might not be sure of his sexuality. Happens all the time, NPH dated many girls before he had his own self-awakening.
Also i don't think it's that sensitive, homosexuality is as normal as any other biological process. Yes they need to spread that message all around other than that the only thing which makes it sensitive is the teacher-student take which is valid for every sexuality.

yeah! But then shouldn't be called sensitive because we already see so many laws being made in favor or against homosexuality?
I don't know about such issues, so if explained, that would be of a greater help! :D

@BW - For starters it's not an issue.
Google Matt bomber and he is complete hottie who I would drool over but he is a gay. Does that changes who he is or how I feel for him. No.

There are many dinosaur laws in our country. We don't have one for marital rapes , so does that lessen the horrors of it?. So why should we add sensitivity to homosexuality when it is strictly a personal business. US with even openly gay icons still have many states which have laws against it while others have chalked them out. So just because the law states something it doesn't make it a sin or an abnormal thing.

I think its more like he knows he will get a lot of flak for being "different" to the social norm, and hence homosexuls in general tend to hide their sexuality at the fear of being judged by the ones they care about
And since Fab5 is a tight knit group (or so they claim), Cabir wants things to be as normal as possible and hence closeting his feelings might have been the only way according to him.

Also these characters are meant to be at a teen age right? So how confused are we? It could just be that Cabir was exploring his sexuality! A lot of possibilities I guess :P

Btw you watching this show again? And I am not talking to you! I replied to emails and what do I get- zilch :"(

i think handling it sensitvely also kind of refers to not making them butt of all jokes as done in a lot of Bollywood movies but to show them as regular people with same feelings, emotions and desires as all of us. They don't want to be treated special, they just wanted to be treated like normal people, without being stereotyped.
