Liz you write really well.....and what to say about Nitoo, she is just too good!
TRP's have nothing to do with a thinking, feeling audience like us, it has more to do with the viewrship in small towns and metros like Ahmedabad, Pune, Agra, Bareilly, Jaipur ect! I don't think that people sitting in Delhi, Mumbai, London, US count for much! And hence, the story line will have emphasis and characters with whom we cannot identitfy at all!
KYPH is quite urbane and yuppie as compared to most of Ekta Kapoor's serials, it has comparitively less melodrama, the characters dress up sensibly most of the times, the situations are also pretty plausible.....I guess that is the reason the TRP's are falling down!
Perhaps if Ekta had shown a pregnant Kripa marrying Prithvi by now, and then divorcing him to marry Josh, then being widowed and remarrying Prithvi, only to be a victim of marital rape and then finally end up going back to Angad, who has already gone through his share of marriages and fatherhood.....things would have been different.
But the show is somewhat sensible till now and hopefully Ekta won't end up getting Kripa and Prithvi married! So, it should make for better viewing!
Cheers,
Chilly
