Kripa is walking in their hotel room. She goes to get something from the cupboard and falls!

Part 8

7 months later

Angad is standing outside the hospital room. His face is pale and weak. He looks very worried.

Doctor: Mr. Khanna?

Angad: Yes, doctor? How is she? Nothing happened to her, did –

Doctor: Nothing yet, Mr. Khanna. Nothing yet. She is still in that same state as she has been in for the past 7 months when you brought her here…

FLASHBACK

Angad came running into the hospital, carrying a limp Kripa, who had many wounds and was bleeding.

Angad: Please – please admit her, she's – she fell, she can't – you –

Receptionist: Please wait, Sir.

A doctor came up. He saw Kripa's state. He called some people, and then some nurses brought a stretcher. They put Kripa into it and wheeled her into a ward.

END FLASHBACK

Angad: Yes, doctor. For seven months, it has been the same. You came up to me and told me that she was in an unconscious state and that she was between life and death.

Doctor: Yes. It is by a miracle that both she and the child were unaffected. She has not been eating, not drinking, but we have managed to keep both of them alive by medical care. But –

Angad: Yes, doctor?

Doctor: Mr. Khanna, the thing is, that the baby will need to be delivered by this week. And –

Angad: And-

Doctor: There is a chance that she will not be able to keep alive after the operation due to excessive bleeding.

Angad is shocked. He falls into a chair, cursing his fate.

1 week later

Doctor: Today is the day, Mr. Khanna. If Mrs. Khanna lives through the 24 hours of her delivery, then you don't have anything to worry about. Otherwise –

Angad: No, doctor. You have to save her. You have to, doctor. Please…

Doctor: We'll see, Mr. Khanna.

The doctor goes inside the Operation Theatre, and Angad waits outside, every passing moment making him feel worse. Finally, after some hours, the doctor comes outside.

Angad: What happened, doctor? How is she? How is the baby? I – I –

Doctor: Please calm down, Mr. Khanna. A boy was born.

Angad is really happy. The nurse comes and gives him the baby wrapped up. He looks at him and smiles. The baby starts crying. Angad takes him inside the theatre, where Kripa is lying, in an unconscious state. Angad is worried about Kripa.

Suddenly, Kripa's eyes open. She scans the room, then her eyes fall on Angad.

Angad: Kripa! You – you're – aw- I mean – you're awake!

Kripa: Angad?

Angad wipes his tears.

Angad: Yes?

Kripa: Where are we? And is the baby –

Angad: It's a long story, Kripa. But go to sleep now – we have a flight for tomorrow.

There! Another part finished. But it's not over yet – oh no, I have lots more planned out!
