Hey,
Sure, Kripa fell in love with Angad's onscreen image—but why was that. I think because her essence of love was deep and she felt the same way when Angad described his (fake) feelings on love. For some reason, I don't think it was infatuation, because when she wouldn't have felt so bad when she comes to know his truth. She wouldn't have expressed her sincere feelings the first time she tells that she did love him and what he meant for her (the first time we saw Angad crying). Her image did break, but when she realized that Angad wasn't as horrible as she thought. "In your absence my heart grows stronger. In your presence I fall in love again."
"You may not have heard me tell you that I love you, but the way that I look into your eyes, the way I smile when you pass by, and the way that my heart feels when you are near all speaks of what best describes the love that I feel." Doesn't this suit our lovebirds? Angad, if he really didn't care for her, he wouldn't be getting jealous so fast. He did get a chance to have a way when Kripa got drunk, but he cared for her values. If he was only infatuated, then why would her words and thoughts always stay with him? Why was he raging from inside when Mishti told him about Prithvi and Kripa? Why did he leave everything and come to Bombay searching for her??? I mean do these show infatuation, or something way more---love? Love does not consist in gazing at each other, but in looking outward in the same direction.
Another thing, like you mentioned, I do think that love needs respect as well. Kripa, also, reflected her respect when she wanted to thank Angad for helping Tania, she said sorry when she realized that Angad did try to arrange for 2 rooms, and many more. Don't you guys agree???
Finally, Prithvi values for love are just mind-blowing. I think this poem really fits his personality:
Any time you need a friend
I will be there
You will never be alone again
So don't you fear
Even if you are miles away
I am by your side
No matter what you will have my heart
For the rest of my life
So, to highlight my point—I think using the word lust would just ruin the heartfelt feelings between the Angad and Kripa. Also, if it was infatuation then the story wouldn't have progressed like this (in my opinion). So the word that fits our story---is love and only love. What do you guys say??? Any comments…..
