Iqbal's girlfriend Sneha lights up the entire house with diyas during Diwali and his Muslim maid insists on spring cleaning the house before the "royal day".

"I have been celebrating the festival of lights ever since I was in boarding school. It was there that I learnt that all festivals spread the same message — of love and togetherness," says the Kaisa Yeh Pyar Hai lead actor, who feels it's high time people realise that religion is just a path towards God.

"It can't be a coincidence that for the last few years, Eid and Diwali have been falling around the same time. My Eid celebrations are very similar to Diwali festivities." In fact, on Eid, Iqbal blackmails his Hindu friends into cooking some biryani for him.
