By the way... Iqbal has had his good days with acting... But in MY OPINION he falls in the category of mediocre actors because he is monotonous in his acting... I realised that after I saw him play Raghu in KTH... His "Aye mamu" was so unconvincing...

no actually i dont think Ekta chose all the great actors.however...i think she PRAISES ONLY the ones who deserve it...ive never heard Ekta randomly praise Neha Bambs acting or personality.(not to pick on Neha)...maybe she has..but it wasnt out and out that much i suppose..because i sure havent heard of it...nor has she repeated her in any other serial....Ekta is known for repeating her stars....any name that comes out of Ektas lips is Iqbal Khan and Eijaz Khan..if you think Eijaz cant act..then great..but he sure as hell appealed to a huge deal of public...and not everyone thinks he's cute...i dont..but i think his rendition of Kavya was better than the original one

Second, yeah it is about marketting..but who markets just anybody?..SRK appeals to the MAJORITY..if he plays a billion diff roles people would take him more seriously HENCE a better actor...because nobody acts for the director and themselfs..they act for that crowd...Nana is taken seriously only in limited roles...and yes in those roles he's better than srk could be....but as an "ACTOR"..and for that universal appeal SRK is better....acting isnt just about acting..you have to suit the character..and appeal to the audience...Nana does not suit every character..thus nobody bothers to market him with time..or energy..nor does anybody bother watching him over and over..because he cant interest the audience as much

Ekta's actors appeal to the majority maybe because they have the charisma, looks etc... But most of them cannot act...
Nana is not as popular as SRK simply because he plays negative roles while SRK has this typical lover boy Hero type image which the audience wants...Catch SRK playing Daya Nayak... Or The Role in Agni Sakshi... I bet he would fall flat on his face.. He would not be able to play those roles....

why wouldnt it mean your a good actor if you can appeal to the public?...what kind of person only watches t.v because there are goodlooking people on screen?...😕..rajpal yadav is hillarious and i think he's great.but hes butt ugly to me..just cuz you can act doesnt mean your gonna work...and on the contrary if you dont work..doesnt mean you act better...technically you might know the right moves and stuff..because you were trained preoffesionally and what not..but obviously your doing something wrong..if you cant shine past a guy who "cant act" and has just "looks".....and who says the public wants to see lover boy images...John Abraham got popular only post Dhoom as did Abhishekh post YUVA...its about how you attract the crowd...and play your character with zest...had public been only after looks or anything else...Iqbal and Eijaz would eventually be left unemployed..because sooner or later their face would get boring..that we know..is not the case..as they keep rising..and always will..whether or not one person thinks their a good actor or not..bottom line is..THE PUBLIC...watches their shows..because they cant picture anyone else in that character except them..which means..THEY are ACTING good..nobody watses 20 minutes daily..because actors are hot..and they have a different kind of appeal..atleast i dont think anyone NORMAL does that.....and about the personality all of Ektas actors have....Angad and Iqbal are as different as you and i😉...so if he can still be so popular despite having a totally diff personality than what he plays on screen...i credit him more for making that role come to life...sometimes just because your a technical actor..doesnt mean your a better actor than the actors who live out their character in their method...theres nothing to do with looks....atleast not for the serious viewers

thats the diff b/w nana patekar and srk... srk is a complete package.. whereas nana patekar is not a conventional STAR.. he is only an actor!!
u cant get everything in one...as for small screen.. i guess hiten tejwani, iqbal khan, ronit roy, eijaz khan, are the few ppl who are truly good and a perfect blend of talent and looks! 😳

Phew!! Sorry for deleting the part on Rajpal yadav and Mass appeal coz I kinda agree with that... Just acting gets you nowhere... Now back to the point.... Iqbal and Eijaz have just started their careers... Yes they are improving... So are Neha, Aamna and Gauri... But they are not good enough as yet... Eventually they have to prove their mettle as actors... But as of now... They have a long way to go as actors... Btw... Ever wondered why SRK notches up the awards every year while other actors who are as good or perhaps better missout? Its plain packaging...😉

I beg to differ on that one!😆😆 The public watches shows for the storyline and not because of the acting... They do eventually form opinions abt their acting skills.... But BAD acting is never a reason for someone to stop watching a soap...😆 And yeah... People would prefer watching a hunk acting in a nonsensical soap rather than an ugly but good actor act well...

Everyone plays characters different from what they really are...😉😉 Thats their job thats expected of them... Iqbal has done a decent job as Angad but failed to do justice to Raghu.... Thats why I say he has a long way to go as an actor.... Had I not seen KTH I would have still been of the opinion that he is one of the best actors...

On this one I have to disagree with u Ria, he was only suppose to do Raghu for 3 days...3 days only. Guess what the public liked him so much that KTH trps went up, Ekta kept him there for 7 weeks. That must say something right, don't u think. I mean come on if u suppose to do role for three days and then u last for 7 weeks it must say alot, I think. 😳

Haven't I said earlier that the likes of the public are not necessarily because of acting skills?

The KTH viewers were fed up of KTH without Rajeev... So Iqbal's entry came as a welcome change....

Ekta Kapoor gave him an extension only because of the TRP's which went up temporarily because of the new entry... She got Raghu killed after the TRP's went back to normal.... He was ok as normal Sujal... Cuz that does not need much acting... But when it came to the "Aye Mamu.." part playing the goonda mawali... He could not do much of justice to it... He needs to work on different types of roles... Doing ONE role aboslutely well is not good enough... He needs to fit himself into different genres of acting to be called a great actor... Those who watch Iqbal just in KYPH might find my point a little absurd... Iqbal was not half as impressive in KTH or KA as he is in KYPH...
