If it is Gayatri Kripa's Mom...Here is the reason why...
Kripa gets married to Prithvi because of parental pressure. Prithvi threatens Kripa's parents with something forcing Kripa to get married to him. Gayatri...Not able to take it anymore murders Prithvi...
OR....
She gets to know that Angad is Zaib and wants to finish him off....And kills Prithvi by mistake.... But what beats me is... Why then would she allow Angad to marry Kripa? 😕
