I have finally decided to foray into the wonderous world of analysis..... I have read so many wonderful analysis(s)? (nitica and hafza....) that i wanted to write one of my own too.... Text in italics = my comments and views on scenes im not entirely satisfied with....
*~* Angad, stands alone in a dark place (i dont really know where this place is.... đ) thinking about all the times he had with kripa.... the time they decided to get "engaged" with their tattoos....One of my favorite scenes where kripa tells angad thats shes nothing but a mchine working to destroy him and that very morning where kripa almost managed to get a confession out of him.... The bridge scene.... And then his phone rings....Its kripa... As he says "hello" almost curious to know what she wants at this late hour, we see kripa set her phone down with a most determined episode....
Im assuming that prithvi is watching her.....Did he not see her calling Angad and setting the phone down?? Or he just over anxious to hear what his beloved kripa has to say this time??
Kripa tells prithvi how she no longer feels for angad.....(angads facial muscles tightening here....) and she tells prithvi how he was the only man who really loved her without any expectations....
At this point, prithvi looks downright pleased with himself.... He maintains this "oh im really great, am i not??" till the point she tells him that he is infact the ONLY MAN in her life.... (U LIAR!!!) (angad still looking livid here!)
Prithvi here, tries to make sure that she is in fact thinking about the same thing that he is tells her that he knows he doesnt love her .....
Kripa shushes him so quickly here, that im compelled to think shes almost desperate to consumate her relationship just to get back at Angad... She hurridly assures him that shes absolutely sure about what shes talking about....SHE WANTS TO BE ALL HIS! She has rehersed her part to get prithvi finally and god forbid! if something goes wrong at this point to time!!! THAT TOO WITH ANGAD LISTENING!!!!!
Prithvi seems to be overjoyed...Finally kripa realized his love for her (or so he seems to think.....pooor misled prithvi.... *hugs*) As usual, he kisses kripa on the forehead, but this time with a lil more tenderness than the usual "rakhi brother kiss"...... Angads eyes shut in pain...He cant believe what hes hearing.....He just doesnt know how to react......
*~*We see clips (that i really wish i didnt have to see.....but prithvi without a shirt made it all worthwhile!! heehee đ )
Angad is shown to take out all his anger and frustration on his drum set....And simultaneously we see all that we didnt want to see.....(shudder).....
*~*A single tear slides down kripas cheek as she realizes what she has done.... All her grief is expressed in that one single tear....Her grief at all that has ever happened to her.....
Meanwhile an infuriated and shattered Angad breaks everything around him, in his fury at himself, at kripa and at the circumstances that have brought them to such a point that they have no clue why they're doing this to each other..... He screams kripas name, thus proving that unlike he told Dadi, he most certainly hasnt forgotten her, AND she does hold importance to him......
He tries to drown his anger and his grief in his old friend, the bottle but ends up shattering all those bottles until they resemble his shattered heart.....
KK's "tadap tadap" rendered beautifully here.... Suits the situation more than the last time it was played (when angead finds out abt kripas celibacy at the engagement party....) specially the lines :
Jism mujhe deke mitti ka,
sheeshe ka dil kyun banaya.....
They seem to encompass all that angad seems to feel at the moment.... Flashback of the time he put lipstick in kripas maang, the time prithvi got engaged to kripa in the warehouse, the slap she gave just a few hours ago.....Trembling, Angad is broken, his heart crying out in pain and his emotions trodden on....
*~*A numb angad stands outside his room when prithvi comes out and thanks him and informs him that all misunderstandings have been cleared between kripa and him (so you think, foolishly happy prithvi boy!!!)
*~*Kripa rubs it into Angads face that now she is truly a married woman and she has only him to thank for it...A powerless Angad just stares at her as though he still cannot come to terms with what has just occured....He cannot believe HE drove kripa to such lengths and she relented.....Kripa walks away thanking him but you can see the pain she has gone through, submitting herself to another man when she has loved only one.... But that one man gave her so much to hate in life and herself, that she felt compelled to take such a step...... she glances at Angad one last time and quickly runs away.....
NOW....The award winning performance.....
*~* Angad goes into his room tentatively, almost scared to enter it.....There he sees, on his own bed, broken bangles, solid proof of last nights event among the crumpled sheets....
OVER HERE ID LIKE TO INTERUPT....... HOW DISGUSTING!!!! You'd think that these people have some sense of judgement and civic sense if u may call it that! Like it wasnt bad enuff that they had sex in angads bed, they refuse to clear out the mess they made and fold the sheets....! EWWWW!!! LOSERS! UGH!!!!
Angad goes mad with fury and tries to destroy all the proof lying in front of him..... (i thot hed burn the sheets just like he burnt the ones in the outhouse.....đ) and breaks all that he can break in this room too.... Finally, he collapses and breaks down completely.... (i was just thinking uptil this point in the episode, how brave he was and didnt shed a single tear....oh well....thats that!)
He attempts to hurt himself physically in compensation to all the emotional pain with the candle (which they still left burning.....POTENTIAL FIRE HAZARD!!!!!!! like its not enuff you had sex in his bed! now you're trying to burn the house down!!?!!?) but intsead just extinguishes and looks at the camera with the most intense determined look of a man who isnt going to stop at anything to get what he wants......
Performances
Well, to be frank, only Iqbals performance stood out.....
Amit had this standard look on his face.....
Youd think hed show some change in emotion when his wife is finally professing her love for him...
Neha too, standard performace, but looked quite uncomfortable in the intimate scenes....
Iqbal now stood out whether it was when he was shocked, playing those drums venting out his frustration or his pure fury at the end.....AMAZING JOB.....*standing ovation* đ
My comments :
An action packed episode.....Specially since all the hype it created on IF....It was a well made episode, but i guess shocked some of the viewers since they didnt expect so much of detail in the intimate scenes....Oh well, we lived through it....
The extent to which a person can go to get revenge was well potrayed here....A woman, taunted and tormented to the extent that she decided to finally shed her celibacy and consumate with a man she didnt love....It truly made me feel sad for kripa....And i felt reallly bad for angad who didnt expect his torture to force kripa to submit to such an extent...And wasnt he shocked to his very core.....He finally acknoledged the depths till which he loves kripa even after all that his happened....he still thinks of her as "his".....
And i felt worst for prithvi..... who really believed that all that he had done had finally been of use! Kripa loved him.... And accepted him.... little did he know that he was just a pawn in this midless game of revenge between these two people.....
So overall.... a good episode.... not a disappointement like usual week-enders are!
