well today i was just checking out my younger sister's history text n i read some info on ANGAD(not from KYPH but from history)in it.

well do u know what ANGAD means?

Guru Angad
Guru Nanak had appointed Bhai Lehna( renamed ANGAD )as his successor.The name Angad means the flesh of his own flesh.
Angad's contribution to Sikhism was dedication in spreading Sikhism, keeping it as a seperate faith and organising it very well. He compiled Guru Nanak's biography. He introduced Gurumukhi and wrote the sermons of his Guru called Gurbani. Angad started the concept o community dining called langar as a spirit of brotherhood among the followers of Sikh religion. Angad died in 1552.
