Aptly put SRK addict! Although I fiercely defend jalapeno in this crowd, I don't think I have ever tried to justify her actions. I almost always end up asking people to understand her as a women or if they can't, then just don't shun her and tear her character to no end. I think I have almost always ended up asking others to be kind rather than take her as right or wrong.
As far as putting myself in her shoes, that I can't do. Simply cause I won't be able to predict my rxn. in a similar situation.
The world has been intolerably insensitive to her. If you carefully examine her life, her dreams have always shattered, her faith in love & friendship broken. So has others', but I always relate to her/ stand by her as a woman. I might not be able to agree with her actions, but she is justified in what she is doing from her perspective. I think her life so far has given her a misplaced sense of principles. To protect her marriage, whatever little is left of her hopes and debt to prithvi, she protects cause of her principles. As for the dreaded phone-call, it hasn't happened yet, therefore I will hold off my opinion until I see how it all played out. You see, she thinks she is right in doing so, therefore she does. I am disdainful of who say that women deserve such food on their plate rather than of people who are overtly & extremely critical of her.
Sigh, I have criticized Angad a lot for his loose character. I have neglected prithvi and his feelings uptil now just cause his character wasn't/isn't very appealing to me. Maybe, I shouldn't, but I can't help it... I have even asked others to not dwell on the past and just take the present, and look at character's present. But, I guess it doesn't work....I guess we need to hold onto the past to justify the present.
Right now, situation is pretty grim for every single character. None of them deserve wht they are getting, and none are to be blamed!
YOu know, we need a scape-goat...we pick an easier target, that is all. Krips is a target for who see angad in the right and vice-versa.
But you certainly can't deny that all her actions have been reactions to what angad or Prithvi do. Other times, her insecurities have played a role. Am I scape-goating others now? Now, why do I feel that I am justifying myself...sigh, let me say one last thing...
I don't think krips need to be shunned for who she is. We might not agree with her, be critical of her actions, but it doesn't give us any right to say that she 'DESERVES' it or declare her morally wrong.
If we see from the character's perspective, we won't find any reason to blame any of them. However, we always look at them from the sidelines, knowing every single detail of their lives and past actions. Hence, it is quite hard for us to understand why they do what they do and to some extend ignore why they are the way they are.
Ok, I have said enough...didn't mean to! I hope you understood what I was trying to say...and it didn't come out as jumbled thoughts.
Just wanted to add...that if you watched today's episode end, I didn't like that she has put herself in a plate and is serving herself to prithivi to prove her loyalty....did it seem to you that she was doing it all out of vengence? To me, it didn't. It seemed more like an act out of desperation. I donno about the phone-call...hopefully, it won't be as distasteful as we think.
All I ask for is a bit of understanding and kindness, but apparently it too is a lot to ask for since all of us like being the 'moral police'.
